Should be okay the rest of the summer, unless I win the Publisher's Clearing House prize or something, and move to New Zealand, that is.

I'd like to do a Broadcast Recap this season. I had a lot of fun with the one last year. I'm a little hazy on the broadcast schedule, but the only week I couldn't do would be the week of August 7th. Out of town for a wedding. Otherwise, I do what the admins command.

lurker this is for the TV show on CBS, not the live feeds. Usually what happens in someone gets assigned a week, meaning they write up a recap for the three hours of Big Brother that is broadcast that week and post it in a dedicated thread.

I can do any week up til August 25, when I will up and flee the country for Australia for 3 weeks. I'm really hoping I don't miss the finale, considering I will probably miss the most fun live feed breakdowns/fights/sex/whatever. But yeah. July & August I'm your girl.

I can be a stand-by recapper for anyone who cant (for some unforseeable reason) fullfill their weekend assignment. Sorry cant do it on a weekday - young kids - and I watch it later on Tivo. Also I am on the west coast...

Hey! I've never recapped before (except verbally for my former roommate who tends to see 1 out of every 7 episodes yet feels the need to know exactly what is going on at all times) but I would be willing to take on a week if needed. I should be around for the whole season with the exception of whatever recapping week would fall on Labor Day weekend. Other than that I am pretty open. My e-mail should be correct in my profile and promise to say many many rude things about Booger, the Mantroll, and Cowboy if, by forces that are not from Jesus, any of them should make into the house.

Oh, I also promise to describe to the exact degree Kaysar's level of prettines.

Jesus has nothing to do with that triumvirate.

I'll volunteer. I haven't recapped before, but I'm a writer/editor in my day job (which is now at home, so I have flexible hours). I'll be obsessing over the show anyway--might as well write about it. How soon after an episode airs should the recap go up?

ETA: I'm available all summer. Sadly.

As soon as you can get it done. How's that for a firm deadline? If I recall correctly, last year some people were lightning fast, some took a couple of weeks. Personally I think it's better to get it done fairly soon after the broadcast because a) it's more relevant for those who missed seeing the show on TV and b) you don't have to think about it for too long.

You want to have a short (2-3 paragraph) recap up within 24 hours of each episode your week. The full recap should be up by the time the next week starts. So, by the Tuesday afternoon after the Sunday show.

I wouldn't mind doing some recapping as long as we don't get negative points for grammar!

Also, the email on my account isn't one I check often but I would be happy to submit my other one.

I wanted to screencap and add pics from my two recapped ep's (tue 7/11 and tonite 7/13), but it doesn't look like I can edit now. Maybe this weekend, you admins will open that option up for me??

you know, I don't have much experience actually recapping a broadcast bb show or group of shows but i do have a TIVO and can recap as an emergency stand-in if someone has to miss a show or something. I don't know if that will really be any help but figure I should at least offer

It would only let me add five pics...so, I did. I have about six or seven more I could add, if allowed.

You know, I seem to remember something about a limit on how many pics per post. Hopefully Tsy, our graphics stud, will see this and can confirm or deny.

You can only add five images per post. The way around that in these recaps would be to split the recap up into multiple posts.

Or use HTML instead of the board's coding. That's what I did.

EMERGENCY RECAPPER NEEDED!

Did you record tonight's show? Because my TiVO sure didn't. Just a whole bunch of black and I am really not happy about it. I can order it on DVD from friends in the biz and recap it as soon as I get it, but that'll take a few days and I hate to make y'all wait. If there's anyone here that could fill in for me for just tonight, that would be awesome. We're rebooting TiVO right now, so Thursday's show should be no problem.
