you know, I actually think James is a great player and he would've gone farther without that girlfriend. On the other hand, I got really tired of him last year and I think I would rather see another player get his slot.

I always thought James was a pretty sharp player UNTIL something happened that was off-plan, and then he panicked and made mistakes. If he can keep that under control, he could go far. He would be the type that would analyze everything he did in the previous season and try to work on it, so I may cast a few votes his way...

There's an interesting chat transcript at Joker's with James. He says he plans to go in without alliances, but it's clear from their sharing of pics on their myspace pages that he and Kaysar and Janelle are still friends. Howie, however, is a different story. James is still mad at Howie for screwing everything up by going after him instead of Maggie and the Fiends. Says Howie never apologized. So if they're both in the house, it might be interesting to see how they react to each other.

James is full of it. In the house, he kept saying how it was all just a game. And now outside the house 1 yr later he is still taking what happened in the house personal. I also don't like how James in the house kept saying he was on neither side (SOV or NH), then when they all get out, he's SOV and doing all these interviews with other SOV members and just hating on the herd acting like he was always apart of the SOV.

I figure it's a lock for Kaysar and Danielle to make it in to the house. Janelle and maybe even Howie, too. So I've been voting my heart out for James and Nakomis. I keep voting for James because I really liked how he played the game for the most part. I think what ultimately tripped everyone up last season was that the house got divided in week 3 and stayed that way for the rest of the season. I'd like to see James play a more balanced game, like Roddy in BB3. James is too smart for his own good though, so he'll never win, but it sure is fun to watch him play!

I'm smelling a little desperation from James. He keeps posting bulletins on MySpace about the voting bots and how he's slipping in the polls so please vote for him, blahblahblah. Maybe he didn't get the memo from CBS about how they'd ensure that the bots wouldn't drown out regular voters? Or, maybe it's his ego and he just wants to be sure to have a #1 or #2 place so he'll have bragging rights?
Naw. James wouldn't do that, would he? I mean .. he doesn't care about that kind of stuff, does he? I mean, that would be like having bookshelves full of books that you don't read so you can pretend to be literate.

Slamming Ann Coulter is never wrong.
I'm still ambivalent about whether or not James gets in. I think if the producers are going to limit the number of people in the house from one particular season, then of the BB6 possibilities James is the least likely to bring in ratings.

So apparently (according to Howie in that Jokers chat) James is angry/not speaking to Howie because he feels that Howie should have defended Kaysar against Dr. Will during their chat? What is he, 12? The idea that Kaysar (of all people) needed defending by Howie (of all people) against Will (of all people) makes me crack up. Maybe I was wrong about James having a sense of humor?

Jun 29 2006, 06:30 PM
I think they're trying to create a fake conflict in case they both get in so that they can have a covert alliance. James would have had to come up with that one though.
RogueScribner
Jun 30 2006, 01:38 AM
But James is more likely to cause and relish conflict. What's Howie going to do? Be loud and proud and not give a crap and make enemies. Same for Janelle, though she may be smart enough to try a different approach this time out. I think Kaysar is a lock, and if James is in you've got instant conflict between the two of them already and I think the producers know that. You don't want a bunch of friends in the beginning which is why I doubt Kaysar, Janelle, and Howie will all make it in. Maybe two of them, but not all three.
uaintjak
Jun 30 2006, 12:59 PM
Actually, I think having a group of people who already have an alliance is a pretty good idea.
You have to figure this isn't like normal BB - these hammies already all know each other, to some extant, and already have opinions on this, that, or the other. The only way you could actually prevent pre-built alliances is to divide them up into teams, a'la Survivor All-Stars.
Now, if somehow Kaysar, Janelle, Howie, and James all go in, it's very likely they would have an alliance together (James and Howie, even if they hated each other, would stick with Janelle and Kaysar, I think). That would put a target on their backs the size of Ivette's mouth, but it would also give them a fighting chance. They have other people on their side fighting for the HoH.
Whereas Will, for example, would not have any obvious allies (except possibly the Booger Abomination), and if one of the Jedi won HoH and nominated him, it's almost a lock that he would go home.
Of course, if a non-Jedi won HoH, it's almost a certainty that two Jedi would go up.

As far as I can gather, the hamsters go into sequester tonight, although there's debate about whether or not they are
all sequestered at the house. This is speculated, I guess, due to the fact that Will has requested that an "honest" interview he's done with mediafiends.com (that may or may not be posted at his site) not be posted until then, because he doesn't want the other hamsters to see it. I guess this is the entirely wrong place to post that info, true or not, but there ya go.
To on-topic this, I'll just say that if the whole James/Howie "fight" is all for show, good for them. It didn't occur to me at the time, but I guess it seems obvious in retrospect? Maybe I'm getting too dumb for BB now? My little brain just can't keep up with all this intrigue. I liked it before the hamsters became all web savvy and didn't even realize that cameras were on them all of the time.
merlynn
Jul 4 2006, 08:44 AM
Well it really all depends on how serious the "fight" is. If James is still really worked up over Howie's stupid mistake, then maybe he is too uptight. But if it's just one of those things you rag on someone about when you think about it - then I think James is cool.
All the other stuff is probably just James messing with Howie. I can't imagine James cares so much about Howie defending Kaysar. And I'm not sure I trust Howie to get everything right (Rachel left the dumbass alone and he blew the entire game).
I voted a lot for James. I admit he could turn into the guy we all want out of the house, but hopefully he's finetuned his approach a little in the last year and he'll play a better game.

Given the number of times James won Veto last year, I believe he is capable of winning an HoH. I really, really hopes his HoH time is next week. He seems to already be one of the biggest targets in the house. He might as well declare open war on Chilltown and sure up where he stands with people like Danielle and Marcellus.
And if he does win HoH, he should totally make sure the first keys out of the box aren't his alliance - but the floaters he needs on his side.
