I didn't like Jase the last time around. Then starting hearing reports and seeing pics of him and Holly after the show. What a mess those two were together.
It looks like he's cleaned up his act and recovered some lost brain cells. He not the disgusting tool I expected.
I find myself rooting for the guy to stay in there . . . .for a while anyways . . . .

I'm thinking it's the latter. Kinda of like the "mob" mentality but on a micro scale. This time around he doesn't have the Four HorsesAsses around to feed off of. And even tho he went into the house with two other season mates, they couldn't stand him (especially Nakomis). So you might as well say he went in alone. It's easy to be humble when you are alone and odds are stacked against you....you really don't have a choice...
So the jury is still out on Jase. I'm starting to like him, and dare I say root for him, but I'm waiting to see what will happen when he gets a taste of power again.

Jase is holding center (pool) stage recounting the wonders of MF Marvin.
Now he's explaining how he was almost a body double for Brad Pitt on Mr. and Mrs. Smith, but he would have had to shave his head for three days of work. He met Brad and talked with him, and thought he'd be spending more time on the set with him, but he wanted to do ALL the doubling, and they didn't bite. Acted like he had other things going on (he jokes, like driving down the 405), but when he left, they never called him back.
Playing hardball with A-listers--Not a good idea.
If only someone had quoted Marvin's "Brad Pitt? More like armpit" line.

I'm afraid I'm also heading up the aisle and lighting my own candle at the alter with KR...
Jase am quite different than our old "Jass" without the Horsemen and Holly, aren't he?
I thought I'd croak when Julie announced his name on the season opener, yet I must confess I find him much more than tolerable this season ... hell ... I'm majorly enjoying the eye candy and don't automatically switch my feeds this year when he opens his pie hole ... in fact ... I'm anxious to see if our Jass has truly morphed into what seems to be a completely normal human being (of course, it's way too early in the season to REALLY know...but I'm keeping my fingers crossed right now!) or if that was just the effect Peen really had on him when they were in the same house together.
I'm just praying as much as I've heard the word Xanax thrown around on the live feeds so far, that Jase isn't riding the Xanax train - attempting to surpress his evil twin Jass - until he gets the house rallied around the idea that he's actually a likeable guy!
Right now, I'm all for the all new, improved Jase to go far in this game. Then again, I'm most likely peri-menopausal and reserve the right to change my mind whenever I damned well feel like it.

Jase finally explained why he was upset. I can't recap word for word since I was doing laundry in another room and feeds timed out. He is upset because of what he said to Julie in his interview. It was comical. He admits he came off like a tool. Says that he was thrown off by the questions. Julie asked why he was so different this year. He wanted to say that it was the love of a good women or something.....but he said that he said something stupid about a new girl and about cutting the check.
He is feeling like he blew the opportunity to give her a shout out. They don't have a computer and live in a home her parents home. (if Casper finds out, will he humiliate him like he does Howie?)
What about regretting the bull riding? No regrets on that???

The worst part about the whole Iraqi/line in the sand thing is that the context he used it in in the hottub was telling Chilltown how he had PLANNED to say that IF Kaysar nominated him and Will. It wasn't even just a spur of the moment, racist comment (which still is absolutely not ok), but it was a premeditated thing based on what he thought Kaysar's behavior might be, as an Iraqi.
And even Will and Boogie were like "heh heh...yeah" and "I can't cosign that"....Dude, Jase, even Chilltown 1.0 thinks you're low...

I have lost all of my new found liking of Jase. When he would talk about his "step-daughter" and girlfriend, I would think, "awww, he has changed, I want him to win.
But, after his rap, early this morning I think he needs to go home, that was totally uncalled for. I know he was drunk, but it was still way out of line.
Then later, when Janey, Dani, and Erika joined them (Jase, Wil, and Boogie), I felt so bad for Janey.
I even got more pissed at Jase for acting like everything was fine, eventhough he just got through saying Janey was a whore, for all the world to see. Well, those of us who have nothing better to do 1:00-3:00 in the morning.
There is nothing Jase can do or say that can redeem him now.
Maybe, if he went to Janey, apologized for his antics, and at least gave her a little heads up. But, I am not holding my breath. That would be the decent thing to do.
Janey is going to get home and feel like a complete idiot after she realizes she was in that room with him, joining in their fun about a half hour later.

So I watched Jase's oral diarrhea. (I won't insult rappers by calling it a rap.) Was it disgusting? Sure. Was it demeaning to women? Yeah. Is Jase a tool? I guess.
The thing everyone seems to be missing is that Jase's greatest sin was none of the above. The worst part is that it was boring. You can be rude and crude in the BB house, but boring? Never. He called Janelle a whore? Big deal. We'll see a lot worse by the end of the summer.
Most of that rap was pre-written - as in he could drop any girl's name and occupation into it, and it would work. It's not like he was sitting around coming up with reasons why she's a whore - it was just dumb, slightly drunk, joking with the guys.
For me, the kind of ragging on each other the two sides did last season – which was completely serious – is a whole lot worse that Jase joking about Janelle being a whore.

I have to wonder if Jase isn't sabotaging his own game and trying to get sent home, either deliberately or subconsciously. After the first week with "New and Improved Jase," the old Jasshole from BB5 seems to have returned with a vengeance. That sudden switch, combined with his quite sad (if somewhat incoherent) HOH blog, makes me wonder if Jase misses Heidi and Calleigh so much that his heart just isn't in the game anymore. I can't see any way that him cozying up to Chilltown after making such an effort in the first week to form good relations with S6, constantly insulting Janelle, and basically reverting to acting like a poo-flinging monkey is good strategy for him. I really do think he's practically begging to be evicted, and it looks from last night's feeds that he may get his wish.
