Recap – April 8

We open, as always, with the disembodied voice telling us what happened previously on BB. The ‘power alliance’ of Adam, Ryan, Natalie, and Sheila controlled the house. James am bummed and tried to get Adam on his side. Ryan noticed and told Natalie. The two of them immediately leapt into action and tried to get Adam back in line, but to no avail.

James wept big boy tears and softie Adam crumbled under the weight of his anguish. Adam gave his word he wouldn’t nominate James. He kept his word and infuriated his allies. Who will win POV and will they use it? Find out tonight.

We see the black and white rehash of the key ceremony. Sheila had on her best bitch face. Adam gave his ‘lighting a fire under your asses for the POV competition’ speech. Sheila called Adam the biggest jerk in house and said in the DR that she’s devastated. She would never, never, never have done that to Adam. Never. Adam tried to ask Ryan not to be mad at him, but Ryan gave him the cold shoulder.

DR reactions: Ryan said Adam fucked up. James said that he does plan to keep word to Adam. Natalie said that she’s playing both sides, so she hopes either way, nobody will be after her next week. Adam said James was really sobbing and he fell for it.

Adam asked Sheila if she understands why he did what he did. She said yes, but was clearly very pissed off. We saw Sharon in the DR grinning and saying that Adam may have helped her out.

Sheila was in Adam’s face yelling at him. Adam said she’d be fine in a couple of days. He was kind of laughing at her and she was getting more worked up. Adam told her that she’d be off the block after the veto ceremony. Sheila yelled she doesn’t need him to take her off the block – he’s the one who put her there. She doesn’t need him to do shit for her.

Sheila and Ryan talked in the bedroom. Sheila said that Adam can kiss her ass. She doesn’t want the veto save from him. She never would have done this to Adam.

Ryan said in the DR that Adam is an idiot if he thinks James won’t save Sharon with the POV if he wins it. Ryan argued a bit with James and said that he knows James would save Sharon. James said that he would keep his word.

Sheila, Ryan, and Natalie talked together. Natalie told Sheila to chill because she would be safe. She said that Adam was conned. Natalie said that what Adam did will make it easier for the three of them to turn on Adam later.

We saw Adam outside with Sharon. Adam asked her if he did the right thing or the wrong thing. Sharon said she doesn’t know. Adam said, “I did the wrong thing, I think,” and looked very worried.

Commercial Break

We returned to find Sheila and Adam talking in the kitchen. Sheila said she understood what Adam did, but thought it was risky and never thought he would do that to her. Adam worried that it will cost him the game. Sheila was calm, but did not disagree with Adam’s assessment of his own situation. Adam told Sheila, “I’m so sorry”. He said the same to Natalie in the hall and hugged her. Natalie told Adam to win the POV and redeem himself.

Adam got on the massage table and yelled, “I’m a moron!” Adam said that James mesmerized him. Ryan came in the room and Adam began profusely apologizing to him. Ryan, no longer pissed, told him that it was cool. Adam said, “I’m so sorry. I’ll make it up to you. Please don’t hold it against me.” Ryan assured him that he doesn’t. Natalie yelled out from the sauna, “I’m going to be “Warrior Princess Nattie.”

Natalie told the DR that she isn’t ready to forgive Adam because he put her at risk. Natalie, Sheila, and Sharon talked in the kitchen. Sheila said she forgives Adam, but Natalie said she doesn’t and she doesn’t believe that James won’t use the veto to save Sharon. James came in and Sheila asked him point blank if he would use the veto if we won it. James said that he would not and that he had already made that clear to Sharon.

His new obedience chip freshly installed, Adam walked into the kitchen declaring loudly, “I’m my own man and make my own decisions.” Adam told James that his alliance is pissed. Natalie explained that they don’t know if they can trust James. James said he doesn’t want to have to trust her. He wants her to trust him. Natalie told James that if he keeps his word about the veto and she wins HOH, then she won’t nominate him for eviction.

James and Sharon talked outside. James said he thought Ryan was the only one who really wanted him out. Sharon told him that Natalie does, too. James took out Matthole. James seemed surprised and said that Natalie said she wants to work with him. Sharon said she was blown away by that. Then she pointed out to James that Natalie is trying to sound like everyone is after James except her. That way, if he stays, he’ll think she’s on his side and he won’t go after her.

We see James and Sharon in bed. James talked about how he hates the good vs. evil crap. He hates being isolated. He said that he doesn’t hate people. Sharon agrees that it’s hard and now Joshuah is gone. James said that Josh played a damn good game. Sharon said she feels like half of her is missing. James feels the same about Chelsia. James and Sharon looked all sad and forlorn. Sharon cried over lost Joshy. James misses being hugged. Sharon said that you feel like you failed someone if things don’t go your way. They talked about the game making them realize the value of friends and family. James told Sharon that she’s amazing and he needs her support. Sharon said she’s always there for him. James told her it goes both ways. Aww, kinda sweet.

Commercial Break

We’re back and we see Sheila cleaning the bathroom. She DRs about cleaning up after “these kids,” but is laughing when she says it. Sheila never sees any of them do dishes or laundry or cleaning up after themselves. She wonders how they live and how were they raised. She wants kickbacks for being the maid for 2 months. Sheila was kind of likable on the show today.

It’s time for the veto competition!! The hammies go outside to find skulls, palm trees, lizards, sand, and a big old stone head called OTEV, the Rhyming Rain God. We see Ryan tell the DR that this is the most important veto comp yet. James is a warrior peen and it needs.to.end. James tells the DR that it’s do or die for him.

The story is that the hammies have to please the head to bring rain to the parched BB house. The head will remind them of events and then they must determine on what day in the house the events happened and find a rock with the correct number on it. They must then rush back to kneel before the head with their answer rocks. The person farthest away from the correct answer, or if all answers are correct, then the last to give the correct answer, will be eliminated.

The first event OTEV throws out there is Chelsia’s elimination.

We see Natalie telling the DR that the game is perfect for her, because it’s based on numbers and being on knees pleasing heads.

Sharon told the DR that she decided to work backward to figure out the day. James said in DR that he’s a mental guy, but there are so many things running through his mind. He was last back in front of the head, but survived, because Natalie had the answer farthest from correct. The answer was Day 49. Natalie called herself a ‘frickin’ idiot’ in the DR and said she was mad at herself. I chortle.

After each offering of answer rocks to the head, some water is spewed forth onto the hammies.

The next event – the day Amanda fell ill. James told the DR that there is no way he would let those people beat him. The harder they want him out, the harder he’ll stay, he blustered. Sheila DRs that she’s been here almost three months and can't keep the days straight. The answer was day 16 and everyone got it wrong, James and Sheila tied for farthest from correct, but Sheila got there last, so she was eliminated. Natalie told the DR, “Here we go again.” She thought the DR James was going to pull off another victory.

What day were the couples split apart? Adam exuberantly DRs that that day was monumental in his life. It’s the day he was divorced from the old lady, Sheila. He finally got the ball and chain cut. The answer is 28 and James was out. James told the DR that it was disappointing. He feels like a schmuck and like he just lost half a million dollars.

Adam said in DR, “Bang,” as he likes to do. It was just him, Ryan, and Sharon left. All they needed to do is get Sharon out, he said.

The next event is the day they saw Evel Dick. I forgot to write down the answer and I don’t want to “check the tape.” So there. Sharon was eliminated and told the DR that it isn’t a good feeling. It suuuuuucks.

We saw Adam and Ryan talk about letting Ryan kneel down first on the last question.

The last event is the day of mystery box. Adam whispered the answer to Ryan – 35. Then he let Ryan find the correct number, while he picked up a rock with 34 on it and let Ryan kneel down before the head. The correct answer was 35 and Ryan won the POV. James looked bummed. Natalie mounted Ryan. Adam screamed in the rain about OTEV being pleased and about Ryan being the winner.

The DR reactions were: Ryan said he finally has his opportunity to get James out. Sheila is happy. Sharon doesn’t think Ryan will use the veto on her, because they have to keep their alliance secret. She does hope she stays. James said that it’s a bummer or something. I wasn’t really listening.

Commercial Break

Back from commercials, we see Natalie and Sheila crying. Natalie is overcome with emotion because it will be Mattie’s birthday and he’ll get his birthday gift. Sheila is just so happy and she DRs that she needed someone to save her. Ryan came into the room and they hugged him. Ryan had a big grin on his face. Natalie babbled about Team Christ. Sheila thanked Rye Bread, probably annoying the shit out of ff174.

Then we see Sharon and Sheila out back in evening. Sharon said James told her about Natalie trying to work with him. Sheila seemed surprised, but then said that Natalie will betray her. Sharon agreed that Natalie will betray Sheila, but said that she won’t. Sheila DRs that she trusts only herself.

Sheila talked to Ryan about what happens when their alliance starts to turn on each other. She promised Ryan that she won’t turn on him. He smiled and said he thinks maybe Natalie already has a little bit.

James couldn’t sleep and was wandering. Ryan was up, too. James asked Ryan if he was dead set on using the veto. He said he would be indebted to Ryan if he would not use the veto. Ryan said that he has nothing against James other than the fact that he’s a big threat. He said it would really be left up to Adam to decide whether to put James on the block.

Ryan asked James if Natalie has tried to work with him. James said yes and then he misrepresented what Natalie had actually said. James said that Natalie said if she won the veto, she wouldn’t use it and then James would stay and they could work together. We again see Natalie’s actual statement, which was that if James kept his word about not using the veto and if she won HOH, she wouldn’t nominate him.

James suggested to Ryan that he could let the nominations stand and they could send Sheila home. Ryan seemed intrigued and said it was worth a shot. James looked confident and a bit smug.

BB10 Recruiting Commercial

We come back to see Ryan looking pensively at the picture wall. He told the DR of his dilemma - does he stick with his alliance or does he flip the house and go with James? He said that James made a convincing argument. James DRs that he hopes he got through to Ryan and really does think it would be in Ryan’s best interest to keep him. America waited on the edge of its collective seat.

Ryan started the veto meeting with the obligatory offer to hear arguments from the nominees. Sheila went first and congratulated Ryan. She said she would like him to use the veto on her. She’d like to prove that she’s playing a stronger game and would appreciate it if she got the chance to show everyone. Sharon also congratulated Ryan and said she’d be ok with whatever he decided.

Ryan said something about having surrounded himself with strong allies. He said he had decided to use the veto on *dramatic pause* Sheila. There was lots of clapping from Adam and Natalie. Sharon and James looked sad. Sheila looked really happy.

Adam said that James is his friend, but game play has to come first and he nominated James. He apologized to James and said that it’s only a game. James said that he was ok with it and he understands that it’s just game. He told the rest of the hammies that what Adam did by not nominating him right off the bat was give him a different way to go out and they shouldn’t look badly on Adam because of it. Then he told Ryan that he understands why he used the veto and that Ryan did the right thing for himself. He said something else to Ryan that I didn’t catch. I know, I’m helpful.

End of show DR sessions: James said the whole house is against again, but he isn’t giving up. Sharon said that they’re all trying to get James out, so she’ll just keep her mouth shut. Adam said that he took the easy route. Everyone would really have been pissed at him if he hadn’t put James up this time. Ryan said he would focus on getting James out and then reevaluate.

Who will be evicted? Will it be James and his Giant Peen or will it be Sharon and her Tiny Giny? Tune in tomorrow for the live eviction.
