So it was a really long day at work today. I should have left for home at least two hours prior. I'm picking up bread, eggs and a few other things I need at home. Oh.My.GOD!

I was reading posts on a page that was previously loaded... before midnight... then I hit the link to go to the next page, read to the bottom, and there... on each the three buttons on the bottom of the page... instead of our dear old Fisty... was HIM!

I never do get the large Fisty banner at the top of the page for some dumb reason, only clear blue gradient screen, but I assume HE is THERE also. You poor people who do get to see the top-of-the-page banner!

<shudder>

I immediately looked around the site, trying to figure out what the HELL was going on... and then suddenly realized what day it was.

At least I HOPE that's all this is about!


ETA: This made me re-think the whole thing about why I never get to see the large Fisty banners at the top of the page, that I've tried to fix in the past, with advice from some of you here, to no avail. I'd tried a few things, (browser settings, control panel>internet options, pop-up & ad blocking from within my browser) but couldn't ever get the banner to show up, and it was driving me nuts, so I gave up. I resigned myself to not getting to see Fisty in his various incarnations.

But tonight I thought, "what the hell, let's give it another shot", and finally tried again to see if I could fix it, and voila! There was the banner. Except instead of Fisty, it was HIM!

It was my Norton Internet Security all along, not my browser! This dawned on me when I tried to open hamstertime from another browser, which had a pre-existing Norton toolbar in it, and I decided to check it out.

Except for, now that I had the banner, all of the posts where there are supposed to be images, such as the screencaps thread or the pet pics thread, the images within the posts were all missing! So off I went to try a couple of other tweaks, and somehow, now everything is now showing up properly & as it should be.

Except that the giant banner on the top of the page where Fisty is supposed to be, is still HIM!

And now I don't even remember exactly what those other tweaks were, I think due to the shock of seeing HIM! A big-ass gigantic huge HIM! at the top of the page. Every time I go to a new page... HIM! HIM! HIM!

Hopefully tomorrow, I'll get to FINALLY see Fisty up there, in all his glory, as he should be.

AGH! I just noticed that the whole NAME of the site has even been changed!!
