We might not have a cast, but we know of at least one person that will be back.

I've always wondered, how and why did Julie Chen become known as the Chenbot?

I'm not sure when it started but I think the reason was that Julie often appeared robotic in the way she spoke and moved on camera. If you think about how she walks and moves during the eviction show it's unnatural...robotic. Not very graceful - almost choppy. Let's not even discuss how she interviews or speaks during the show. Chen + robot = Chenbot

That's right, chrysana. The Acronyms and Nicknames thread confirms.

I know everyone has probably seen
this. But I seriously thought that the amount of plastic surgery she has had led to calling her Chenbot.

Good Lord
Ronnieroller - That's enough to give a person nightmares! I, for one, have never seen that - Imagine having all that plastic surgery then having kids that look like the "before" picture.....

Wow! That's even better than Greta Van Susternan's surgery.
Did anyone catch Mrs. Moonves as guest judge on Iron Chef America? She must truly embrace her cyborg sobriquet because she was introduced as the Chenbot. And she was suprisingly entertaining and personable.

She's actually not that bad on whatever morning show she's on. (I've only seen it a few times though) She appears to have a bit of a winning personality on there. For some reason though, it just seems to be Big Brother that she comes across like a total bimbette. Maybe she's just not made for night time viewing? Or maybe there's just too much of her on the show. They should have less of her and more of the Hamsters. Like, she could come on and say, "Hello" and then that would be all we see of her until she says "Good night."

Publicly, I have see her react to the whole "Chenbot" thing, and has been pretty good natured about it. Of course, privately, that doesn't mean that she hasn't had her husband hunt down and kill whoever came up with the nickname.
Anyway, Julie's appearance on David Letterman, originally scheduled for the 23rd, was rescheduled for tomorrow night. I wonder if she'll reveal any interesting info about the upcoming season. I am still hoping for trannies and hookers. I think it would be pretty funny for overly prim and proper Julie to unclench and start talking about hos and such on the show.

Probably just a programming glitch, she set up for recharging at night and can't do all her other "daytime" functions.
But seriously, she can't really be that bad, she must plays up the "but first" and practice her robot moves at home.
I can't wait for the first - Is she pregnant or just ate Bagel Bite - wacky outfit!

So, I saw an ad for the early show the other day. I used to watch it sometimes in the morning when I had a schedule at work that allowed me to go in later. But, I don't now.
However, I noticed in the ad, they were revamping the show with a bunch of new hosts. (Didn't they just do that several years ago?) Anyway, one thing I noticed, as all the hosts were flashing across the screen was that Julie Chen was the only one who stayed out of all those other women. (Unless I missed something.)
Now, I don't mean to speculate or give away any secrets or anything, but one can't help but wonder if Julie's still on the show because her husband basically runs CBS? No, couldn't be...

Anyone else think Julie sounded surprised when she gave the last answer and announced Adam as winner? Surprised as in "Hey Julie, this is the microphone in your head, we're out of time and Adam's the only person who answered more to the last question, just say he's right and announce him as the winner of this HoH" not surprised as in "Holy shit Adam, you're the winner."

She always sounds like she has no clue to me. I did think it was funny how she was goading Nat about Chelsia being with Matt & I loved Julie's response to Nat bashing Chels."mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" .
The Chenbot was not fond of Joshie either.

CBS fired a ton of TV news people this week at the local level, in Boston alone 32 got pink slips including very well known and seasoned on-air people. There's a reason Julie has a job, it's either because she's a home wrecking whore who stole her boss/hubby a few years back or she's just really, really good at her bwhahahahahahaa I can't even say it.... does anyone think she's good at her job?!

I don't watch her on her other show, but I kinda think she's perfect for BB. I just can't imagine what this show would be like with anyone else hosting it. I would miss the Chenbot malfunctions!

Has anyone else noticed that she seems to be wearing sweaters and knitwear in every episode so far? It's kind of strange. Like there was even a off-white, cable-knit turtleneck sweater earlier in the season. wtf? I remember the random leather skirts and freaky blouses last season. She is truly an enigma with no definable personality. Gotta love the Chenbot.

I noticed the wardrobe change, too, coolio. I assume the sweater-clad Julie is carrying the Mountain Lodge theme forward for this edition. In the summer it's fun and crazy Julie at a club. We have apres ski Julie for this edition, or so it seems to me.

And it seems she is very fond of browns & beige this season too, color looks so much better on the Chenbot.
My daughter, who is fourteen & mocks my BB addiction( but for some reason always ends up in the living room watching it too) loves to shout out "But first" when Julie does. Sometimes we both do it and bust out laughing.
I would miss the Chenbot if she was replaced. BB just wouldn't be the same without Julie & her hair helmet. I bet that hair could withstand a category 4 hurricane.

She's a source of comfort in the crazy, demented, idiotic BB world. You always know she'll have the helmet hair and the clicker in hand. It's the little things...

Wow, she really delivered on the bubble har and bad belts promise AND added wierd broaches to the mix. I love her.
I've got to hand it to Chenbot -- that interview was brutal, I don't think I could have done it. I sware Shiela thought up to the very last milisecond that Julie was going to give her a consolation prize for being 46 and breathing.
Edited because I forgot to add what a bold move the yellow was. Wow!

Yeah, that top was something. I had no idea her breasts were so tiny. I guess I've always been too distracted by her camel toe, ugly outfits, and giant, fugly accessories to notice.
It's pretty funny, cuz I would think that if somebody was going to go to all the trouble of making a robot, they would give it big boobies.
Well, not me. My robot would be a male. Duh.
