Being an atheist, I have no idea of who to pray to for a Zach win. But I'm (probably correctly) assuming that he won't, and am praying that whatever higher power will grant me the satisfaction of watching at least one of the Donatos go first (with a terrible tumble).

Those were Mr. Kid's exact words, Just Kimmie. All Zach's talk of being the muscle was just so much hot air...he should have been the brains when he won that power of veto. I can't make up my mind which Donato I'd least like to see win...everytime I see Daniele and hear her Valley Girl whine, I just want to snatch her baldheaded and save her from ever having to worry about bleaching it again. On the other hand, I'd hate for that sociopath to win the game, even if it didn't pay half a mil.

Oh, man. I don't remember who wrote this (sorry!) but I read in the live feeds something about if Dick is out first, then he'll start trashing the hell out of Zach Rabbit. Ok, will BB really let him do that? I know, dumb question, but really will they let him stand right next to poor Zachus during the whole comp. spewing horrible stuff and threatening him? If Danielle falls first then would it be more advantageous for Zach to drop out of this one and give it to Dick and then try and beat her in the next one? As much as I want Zach to win this 1st part of the final HOH bunny hop thing, as I listen to Dick spew his vile, hateful, spewage at Zach, there is a small (tho growing) part of me that would LOVE to see Zach very calmly let go of his key, jump off his carrot, stride over to Dick, and beat the ever-loving shit out of him. Couldn't take circling D-ick for hours, listening to his garbage. Now they're looking for another victim, er, bunny..........

I'm curious, if Zach had been knocked off by the malfunctioning bunny, would people be yelling how that was fixed for the Ds to win? If a blue ball were to have knocked out one of the Ds would people be saying they had it coming? I can't stand Daniele either but I can understand crying after all that and wanting a shower and I can understand if they decide to do something about her being knocked off, just as I would have it they gave jam another chance and I can't stand her either. Just because I can't stand some of the players doesn't make me think the game is fixed.

I don't know about people as a whole, but I have to say that I long ago stopped believing in the "integrity of the show", but I have hopes for the "integrity of the game". To me, this was a mistaken human response to a mechanical error. Dani still had a chance to hop (as Dick and Zack had altered their speed and done so, correct human response to mechanical error).

To me, Jameka had no opportunity to have a response to a mechanical error as she was dq'd.

If it had been (my favourite) Dustin who had fallen on a malfunctioning rabbit I would hope my response would be the same, but I am not impartial and can't be sure. If it were Zach, I think I would be annoyed but my first response would not be that it was fixed for him to lose, but that the production values are cheap and that they never seem to have any back up plans.

The answer, in short, is yes. If it had been Zach they would have demanded a do-over.

So much for the game being fixed for a Donato.

My question is, how is the show going to spin this? When the bunny malfunctioned, in the honor of fairness, they should have stopped the competition, fixed the bunny and started over. Or rolled in the volcano from last season that was never used.

If a close up slo-mo replay showed that either Zach or Dani had no chance to actually stay on their perch because of the malfunction, I would have no problem with either one being given the option of remaining in the yard, in their wet clothing, and being returned to their stump in a relatively short time. But a hot shower, tea and cookies and then a return to the game would be blatantly unfair, IMO.

Again, if they had stopped the veto comp, reset and restarted from a point before the blue ball went in, with everyone in the same position relative to each other, I could see where that would be fair. I also think it's fair to say "that's how the ball bounces" because luck is often a factor in comps, unless they knew that someone else had definitely put that blue ball in Jameka's tube.

What wouldn't be fair, IMO, is to tell Jameka "too bad, so sad," and then reset for Danielle.

That said, had the malfunction happened to Zach, I would at least have suspected tampering because of the way this season has been run, not because of my own preferences. I would be less likely to suspect TPTB of favoring someone who has been ridiculed and ignored (by the show as well as other HG's) than someone who has been sanitized almost beyond recognition.

And I don't hate Daniele, I just don't like her. Dick, I hate.

Yes Shannon...they would. Thanks for bringing that up. I do like Danielle and Dick, but if there isn't a do-over, I will get over it. Do I think it is fair? No, but life isn't fair. And if they decide that shit happens...well that is what they decide. But, if there is a do-over hold on to your socks! Just like if there wasn't for Zach, if there is one for a Donato the boards will be a flamin!

You know they would. I think the producers want to keep it interesting so they probably want zack in the last comp. I'd say they want a Zack & Donato final 2 when I saw the bunny's i said " this one is for Bunny boy". which I like Zack too so I was happy either way.

I can't believe I am actually pleased with the final 3 this year. I think Zack has stepped up enough that he shouldn't be considered a non-gamer. So finally someone that actually played the game will win.

Even for the people that hate the D's can see that they have had their hearts in this game all along. As did Eric. Speaking of Eric, I can't wait until they shao the AP reveal, that should be interesting.

I looked over and over and the tape of the "malfunction" and to me it looked like Dani had plenty of time to figure out it was messing up and then correcting herself when it came time to jump it...Zach and Dick jumped it while it was acting up...it looked on the tape like it just slid to her legs and she just stood there and it pushed her off....

By that time Dani was done anyway. That girl was a shivering wreck. I got cold just by watching that water spraying on them and Dani shaking like she was.

I didn't actually see what happened with Daniele, since she fell off during Sho2 promos. She was pretty much done for anyway. But I was irritated as hell by the following:

I do agree with that. They did play. I hate them and I'd like for Zach to pull it out in the end (get your minds out of the gutter!). But, at the end of the day, it is what it is, and if Dick and/or Dani wins, then the hamsters have no one to blame but themselves for it.

I'm really torn about watching the finale. The only reason I want to watch it is to see the AP reveal and the reactions. I don't know why I have this overwhelming desire to see it. The reveal/reaction will probably last all of 2 minutes, with the entire cast, making some completely unsatisfactory and non-meaty one word comments, very anti-climactic.

I'll watch if Zach makes it to the final, hoping, but not taking it for granted that he will win. I think if he makes it to final 2 he's got a really good shot of taking the whole thing. But, I know how these hamsters are. They've disappointed me numerous times before and could easily end up giving it to Dick or Dani, thus rewarding Dick's abuse, sending a message to everyone, "abuse me, and get $500K!" Sorry, but I can find you a dominatrix that costs a lot less than that if that's what you're really into.

A satisfying finale for me would have Zach winning, the cast asking Dick some pointed questions and showing him craploads of bitterness, and 5-10 minutes of AP discussion.

That's not all going to happen, so I'll be satisfied if one of those three things happens.

By that point they were pretty much all in stage 2 hypothermia, the violent shivering is part of that, and people start to not be able to think or react properly. Everything slows down, reaction time, thought process, and movement. It looked like she tried to compensate for the bunny malfunction but couldn't.

This competition was an incredibly STUPID and dangerous idea. The cold water misting down and the dropping outside temps sucked the body heat right out of them. There is a reason fishermen don survival suits before going into the water off a sinking boat. Towards the end it looked to me like DICK!'s and Zach's hands were starting to turn blue and in particular DICK!'s looked like it was starting to swell. Swelling in the extremities is the start of stage 3 and people do die. I'm a little surprised DICK! didn't have a heart attack given his age and the conditions. I think Skippy was a little worried too because when DICK! burrowed into his comforter they asked if he could hear them. Burrowing is stage 3 as well.

As for the moaning and groaning and crying when it was over, I don't blame them. Reheating after hypothermia HURTS and I'm talking some serious pain. Warm blood into chilled limbs feels like you are on fire, it burns like all hell. I've seen men a hell of a lot tougher than anyone on a reality show screaming from the pain. DICK! deserves a lot of credit for toughing it out last night for over 7 hours like that at his age but I'm glad it ended when it did before anyone suffered any permanent damage. I live on the NE coast and I've seen all my life what hypothermia can do to people. CBS should have thought about this comp a little harder. They're lucky someone's not dead.

I was incredibly irritated at that as well! It's obvious that things have been done all season long to "assist" the Donatos. Granted, the other HGs should have just gotten them out, but still .. production has definitely given them advantages along the way.

I'd enjoy that finale Keith. I'm really hoping for the jury to really give it to the Donato's in their little Q&A.

Why is it that CBS doesn't do a 'reunion' show after the finale, like Survivor does??

I am so glad that I swore off the live shows 3 years ago. You KNOW that CBS is going to milk last night's HOH comp to show what a swell guy DICK! is. It will be nauseating.

It's unlikely that a person in stage 2 would be able to continue the challenge. A person in stage three clearly could not. I don't believe that anyone who could continue in this challenge would ever be in any danger that a dry set of clothes and a warm blankie couldn't resolve.

As unlikely as it sounds, Zach could beat D or D in the third stage. If that happens, Zach will pick who will go to F2 with him.

I personally hope that Dick wins stage two and that Zach crushes him in stage three and then sends Danielle to sequester. Danielle losing stage three and Dick going to sequester would work, also. The beauty of either of these scenarios is that it will be the performance of one that sent the other to sequester. I'm Evel like that.

The second scenario would probably be better for me because we might get to see Danielle tell Dick that he's not getting any of her prize money.

Probably because with Survivor, they contestants have had a few months to reflect back on what tools they were on national TV. I think with BB, it's all a little too fresh.

ETA: And I think the Survivor contestants have had a chance to watch the show, so they know how their edits were. In BB, the finalists and jury haven't had the chance to see anything except what CBS deems "appropriate" to be shown in the jury house.

ETA 2: How much of the HOH comp do you thnk will be shown to the jury? Do you think CBS will let them see what a douche D-ick was being and Zach's reaction to it?

That is really bizarre. The same very pro-Dick co-worker that I talked about in another thread, came in this morning and was ranting about how awful Dick and Dani were, too. And, she now wants Zach to win, as well.

Now, I didn't see last night's episode because I have sworn off watching. Instead I was watching Biggest Loser, and would flip to Big Brother during commercials. But, even then, I would flip back away from Big Brother because I can't stand to see Dick's face. But, my point is, I saw maybe a combined total of 2 minutes of last night's show so I really don't know what happened. My question is, considering the buzz on the internet this morning, and these real life experiences, did Big Brother really do the unexpected last night? Did Dick actually get a realistic edit which showed how disgusting and vile he really is? What's going on here?

Keith, if I understand what you're asking, I think the Donato backlash is coming off the HOH comp last night and not the live show. D-ick was spewing all kinds of horrible things at Zach during the comp and Dani was encouraging it. Zach handled himself very well under the pressure and even congratulated D-ick after the comp.

That's my take...

I know that's probably one of the big reasons for the turn I think the internet opinion is having. But, my co-worker for example, never watches the feeds, and knows nothing about what goes on the internet. But, even she, for the very first time this morning, not only had something bad to say about Dick, but no longer even wants him to win.

They didn't give the DDs a great edit in the episode last night and it's about time too. They have had only about 2 episodes now that they showed the way they really seem to be most of the time. Dick was really after Zach on the show last night too, especially after the POV.

My co-worker does not watch or follow the live feeds, she is simply a CBS viewer. Her change of heart was due to Dick and Daniele's obnoxious behavior following the nominations and the last POV comp. Keith they showed a lot more of the Donato crap last night than normal. Then again, they didn't have much else to air if they didn't.

I think the main reason Dick has been well liked by the masses to this point is the whole "estranged daughter" angle. Lately, however, the edits have shown D&D to be more of a team rather than a father trying to win his daughter back, and I think more people are seeing the true nature of both of them.

I agree with that too. I think people are starting to realize that they aren't as "estranged" as they have led everyone to believe.

It's almost like my brain is unable to entertain the concept of Zach possibly winning. I have watched every year of BB since 2nd season. Never, ever has someone won that I liked. The closest it ever came was Dr. Will, and I didn't particularly like him, I just didn't hate him. He was amusing. Everyone else has ranged from blah (lisa), to nauseating (Booger) to pure, unadulterated hatred (Scaggie).

I like Zach. He can be annoying as all hell sometimes and has the typical famewhorish qualities, but I like him because he's an outcast. He's nerdy. He's weird. He's different. And he's actually- for the most part- a pretty decent person. I think it's about time a nerd won BB. When has that happened? Zach Rabbit is such a goober sometimes (i love whoever called him that, so fitting) that I just want to go into the BB house and pat him on the head and pinch his cheeks.

I'm with you wholeheartedly eshanna! I'm the one who called him a goober! Zach reminds me of my hub in a lot of ways....absolutely no social skills, completely random and often thoroughly inappopriate but in a strangely innocent way.

I really, really want him to win. It's not even so much about a Donato not winning now, I want Zach to win cuz he's Zach.

I don't think I want Zach to win, I thought I might but I really don't like someone who hasn't been playing much to win. And I don't love the Ds, far from it, but they have been playing to win from the start, I have to give a lot to their heart being in it. I guess it was like Ivette getting to the end, I couldn't belive she got there after doing nothing to be there, and I couldn't believe that Janie slipped and fell off!!! But then next to Maggie I wanted Ivette to suddenly get a brain cell and play to win, even if it was just at the very end...so I thought I would feel the same way about Zach, but I don't, and I don't know why. I want Dick to win and I can't give any other reason than that he played to win.
