I also liked that she got out the "inappropriate" comment.
My sentiments exactly. I hope she gets 100X more modeling or movie work--whatever she wants, when she gets out of the sequester house. I think she belongs in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition (it's the only place she'd have the exposure that would make all the houseguests sit up and take notice). I'm no longer convinced that she was lying about Nick's trying to kiss her on the lips.

I love that Jen got to dunk those assholes. HA! They should have filled those things with iced tea!
I thought she was very poised and looked hawt. Good for her. She was rocking those shorts and heels.
I felt bad for how upset she was when Dick burned her. He was clearly stabbing his cigarette at her, trying to burn her and he was enjoying it. I think that must have been very hard because she must have felt like he is allowed to get away with whatever he wants to do to her, no matter how humiliating and hateful it is.
I'm looking forward to seeing her at the end of the show.

Why was it not ok for her to destroy his cigarettes, but it was ok for him to purposely burn her with the replacements? I guess I'm unclear on the rules.
The edit Jen got was generous. DICK! wasn't purposely trying to burn her, he cupped the cigarette in an attempt not to burn her. Watch a smoker sometime in a crowd, considerate ones always cup them that way to keep from accidentally burning someone who might bump them. Even after he warned her she would get burned Jen kept swinging, she made contact several times aka assault. Also DICK!'s blowing smoke was in response to Jen eating in front of Jameka on slop when Jameka has had such a tough time. There was a lot more to the whole thing than was shown.
I watched it live until they killed the feeds and Jen was off her nut reaching for a lit cigarette screaming you're trying to burn me. Jameka stepped in to stop Jen from hitting DICK! before things escalated further. Later Jameka said she should have let Jen keep going and get booted for the assault. A clue for Jen ... if you don't want to get burned don't reach repeatedly for a lit smoke while screaming like a lunatic and then whine about it.
On the other, hand if a lunatic has a weapon, I'm not necessarily going to stop trying to get it away from him, just because he tries to use it.
Also, I firmly believe that he was purposely trying to burn her. He repeatedly jabbed the cig toward her hand. If he was not trying to burn her, he'd pull it up and behind his head. Flicking it away would have also been a good option for him.

That's how I saw it too. Being a smoker, I know how most people hold their cigarettes and it looked like D-ick was purposely trying to burn her but leaving himself an out by saying it was an accident. Someone mentioned that he cupped his hand, like a courteous smoker, but I didn't see that at all. When you cup your hand, the cigarette lit end is pointing towards your palm, not holding it like a pen. (Wow, that was nit-picky, sorry for that tangent). Didn't Jen mention on the live show that she started eating because she was mad at BB? I would be too.

I'm disgusted by the fact that there were two grown men just standing there while Dick was blowing smoke in a girl's face, calling her inappropriate names, and then stabbing at her with a lit cigarette. Even as another female, I would have either said/done something. And if I was Jen, I would have thrown that apple in his swarmy face. To tell the truth, watching the segment last night I was scared that Dick was going to hit her or something when he first noticed the cigarettes were gone. I have a little more respect for Jameka, since she at least dragged Jen away from the confrontation. I wonder how Dick would feel if he was a viewer at home, and some violent freak was cursing at and threatening his daughter. All in all, I think Jen is great for how well she handled the abuse for 7+ weeks. Too bad she didn't vote him out last week.

I still think Dani is way more self-absorbed than Jen, but Jen is just clueless.
But she's not really clueless, you see. She's very calculating, IMHO. She needs to...how can I put this...for want of a better term, she needs to do a Jedi mind trick* in the hopes that everyone will perceive her as some shiny, happy, cheerful, perfect little girl. She allows no other opinion; she lives inside a bubble to stay clean.
I know so many women like that. If they pulled out a gun in a crowd, and shot a nun, they would completely gloss over that part and say "but my shooting was really good and straight" or "look how clean I keep my gun." Sad, the lot of them.

Gotta respectfully but vehemently disagree with you on this. Hub and I watched it on ShowToo and rewound it numerous times because he also thought Dick was trying not to burn Jen at first. Watching it on slowmo....he jabbed at her with the lit end of the cigarette a couple of times. What was interesting about it though is if you watched his face as he was doing it, you could see him kind of catch himself and stop, like he was having a moment of awareness, but then his anger would regain control.
Jen looked fantastic last night!! I loved that she got that little shot in during her speech and her comments on her way out the door. The girl may not be the hairiest bear in the forest but she was the epitomy of composure last night. "word just came down from the CBS legal department spokesperson that Jen Johnson, 23 of Beverly Hills, CA has filed a temporary injunction and a civil lawsuit against CBS, the production company, the distributors and CBS President personally for Breach of Contract and misrepresentation.
According to the release, Jen is claiming "...violations and unlawful terminations of a clear and concise written and verbal contract regarding actions, opportunities AND RESULTS of a reality-based game show called Big Brother (Season 8)". She is requesting that the show be temporarily stopped "as a result of these violations". The judge apparently will hear the case today at 4:00 p.m. (California time).
I'm not sure if it is going to be in LA Central, Van Nuys or even Beverly Hills, but there's about 8 TV and Radio news vans at BH Courthouse, which is unusual.
The courts will consider issuing a temporary injunction, and the legal "talking heads" are saying that it stems from a variety of claims, including the fact that while searching for ED's cigs, she came across a bottle of prescription med's of his which is a violation of the rules. They went on to say that one requested solution is that Jen be allowed back into the house to replace an evicted ED!"

That lawsuit report can't be true. She has been giving interviews all day, including the official CBS Housecalls one. CBS wouldn't be sponsoring interviews if they were being sued. Also, when would she have had time to meet with attorneys to give them facts to flesh out a complaint and injunction motion? Those things take time, even when you are rushing to get them filed.

PART I
I am watching it right now (stalker alert). Nothing new, really. Questions include:
1. Biggest mistake (not getting rid of ED).
2. Why did you eat - strategic or hungry (neither, says she was mad at BB).
3. When you were eating, you started crying, how come (still mad at BB).
4. What did you think stealing the smokes would accomplish (not vindictive, just an anti-smoker and finally found them).
5. How were you able to keep your composure while ED attacked you (everyone thinks it is personal, but it is not because they were completely fabricated, he has issues, it does not effect me because it is not about me).
6. You stated you did not watch the show, yet you made several references to past seasons - how well versed were you in the show (not at all, I watched all of season 7 and a little of season 3 - versed from HG's statements).
7. Did you really care about the money (honestly, would impact life - just don't know if it would be for the better or worse, I love my life and all that I am, embraced it and did it for the experience).
8. Did you go in there with no expectations (that's how I do life, experience it and make it work).
9. Who would you want to win - here or gone (pauses, she does not even know).
10. How would you describe each of HG using one word
Amber - emotional
Carol - immature
Jessica - sleepy
Dani - cheater
Dick - disgusting
Joe - bubbly
Dustin - vindictive
Eric - squirmy
Mike - caring
Nick - different points, different word, today - moody
Jameka - loyal
Zach - ewww/blagh/eerg - is that a word?
Kail - innocent
Jen - besides Jenius, random
11. What does random mean (You never know what you are going to get, usually positive but you never know. Spontaneous.)
12. Are your interests random? yes
13. If you had been forced to choose one player this week to ally to the end, who and why (Part II)

Housecalls with Jen - PART II
12. Who would you align with this week (herself, probably Eric).
13. What was your fave veto comp (probably the "Numbers don't lie" competition - where she got on slop).
14. Who do you think will be F2 (Eric - good at talking to people + Zach or Jameka, someone who doesn't seem to be part of an alliance).
15. What was your fondest and worst memory (fondest - unitard).
16. Would you stay in tough with anyone (sure, everyone is two faced now, but people who left before me - I might keep in touch with Kail and Mike, once Nick watches the show he may not hate me as much as he did, so maybe Nick. Re: If you are that mean (ED) and that deceitful - you are likely like that in life and I probably wouldn't talk to you).
17. Re: message you recorded to yourself - view it and comment (message to herself says I hope you had a great time, made some new friends, and now you get to go back and be with your charges, so go on being a Jenius and a happy person). Pretty consistent, Gretchen says. Note: she looked much healthier before.
18. What are your thoughts on Dani and how she is playing (she is playing really hard, started the thing with Nick to get ahead in the game, cheated on her bf of two years, clearly into the game, allied herself with her dad who she didn't have a relationship. If you can do that, you will probably do better in the game than I will).
19. Why did the house not break up D + D (because they are idiots, no one listens, don't see it , don't care, getting through like last year like the boys did, but they are even stronger - they win stuff).
20. Who were you closest to in the house (Kail, I will go visit her in Oregon).
21. Why did you tell the HGs Nick tried to kiss you when he didn't (I don't know if they found footage in the bed, but he did, Carol is in bed with us, before live feed started).
22. Does time drag or fly in the house (differs, depending on the day).
23. Do you think if you had campaigned and didn't eat, you could have stayed in (absolutely).
One more part.

Aug 24 2007, 08:36 PM
Hey, sorry if this is wordy, but I haven't watched Housecalls this year. Generally hated the show last year and would have appreciated someone writing it, so here it is:
PART III:
24. What do you think of Jess winning, were you happy to dump them in the water (yes, happy to dump in water, why wasn't Danielle there, would have liked to see Amber as HOH because I told her who to nom, Jess is a good second).
25. What are you going to do after the show (go home, see what's going on and catch up).
26. If you could do it all over again, would you (if I could knowing what would happen, I don't know if it was right for anyone to go through what Dick did, I feel bad for my family and for any girl who would go through that, would have been better without Dick in the house).
27. If there was an Allstars (in the future, if I had kids, probably not - but in a couple years, probably).
28. Dick stayed on the block when Joe went, why didn't you campaign (I did. Joe campaigned himself out of the house, I couldn't do anything about it).
29. How are you going to feel if ED joins you in the house (I would be happy, if he joins us I will be a thrilled little child. He says his game is intimidation and that he is not really like that, I assume that you could not be like that in the real world or you would be dead, so I assume he is really not like that).
30. What do you think of the goodbye messages to you (Sorry Kail, I did not think you were going home. I believe the majority of them - Zach's was ridiculous, I think most were caught sleeping).
31. What are you gonna take from this experience (I think that overall, I will take that you can put me in any situation I will still be me, it shows me and my friends and family that I don't given in to anything, and I am glad that I can prove that to myself).

They had a segment tonite on the show that comes on at 7:30 (eastern) on CBS (I can't remember the name -- Entertainment Tonight maybe). They did some intro blurb that I missed in it's entirety because I was doing something else and my Mom screamed "JEN & Dick!" and I just caught something about "controversy." They kept repeating little scenes from "CiggieGate -- The Burning Episode" leading into commercials and then it was part of their "Last Minute" segment -- something like that. They showed the fight and then said something like "but Dick had the last laugh because Jen was evicted." Then in a shot that looks like Jen was in some sort of media question thing; she says something like "watch my entire interview on blahblahblah.com."
I did not see a gaggle of lawyers behind her.

I have a serious question - do we have any HTers or lurkers that have a background in medicine or psychology? Because I would be fascinated to hear their opinion on Jen's personality. It's one thing to be able to push abuse off, to let stuff bounce off of you like a tank suit of armor. That's a great thing to be able to do in a game like BB8 and in tough seasons of life. But it seems to me that Jen is different. We gave her the name Jenbot for a reason! I wonder if she might have a kind of emotional disability or disorder. Remember that she herself said in a DR session "I'm not really good at that... emotional... stuff". I could be way off base but maybe not. Please don't misinterpret this though, I'm not trying to trash her in any way (she was a great player) but am sincerely curious.

I don't have any medical or psychiatric background, but I tend to agree.

Aspergers - it's a high functioning form of autism. Her lack of empathy and her inability to respond and react appropriately in social situations are big indicators. Even the attacking DICK! and trying to grab the cigarette while screaming hint at it. I'd think Jameka with her "counseling" background would have caught it because it's a common undiagnosed problem for kids with discipline problems that is not ADHD related. Than again Jameka didn't know what Klonopin was and that's pretty commonly given for major anxiety problems.

I think it's possible that she simply decided to do BB to further her career, and every move she made was calculated toward that. Personally, I think that would be very smart. View your entire time on BB as a chance to show potential directors/producers/etc. how you react to different situations. Play a part from beginning to end. Control the only thing you CAN control- your performance.
And, this is a bit theatrical, but in acting, there's a thing called "playing the opposites" She did that very well.

On the feeds they're talking about Jen having a tail? Does she really have a vestigial tail??? Why on earth wouldn't her parents have had it removed when she was a baby?

I'd say that Jen's more than skimpy bikini bottoms, which were pulled down even further by her battery pack, not to mention the unitard, make it pretty clear she isn't sporting a tail.

I read on TMZ.com today that Jen was Vanna White's nanny. They do have very plastic personalities, makes sense. I wonder if the other houseguests will be surprised.

I think what they are talking about is that bone that sticks out on some women right above their butt crack. You can't really see them except in certain positions. Dani probably has a major one since she is mostly bone anyways. I think I remember Yapril's being talked about too.
The other houseguest were saying it was brown so somehow Jen must have gotten more tanned in that area to make it stand out. No doubt they are exaggerating it to make it seem like some kind of freak show exhibit.

She was there for her career and the experience. She said so. The other people were just people she had to deal with to get air time. Hard as it may be to believe, there really are people who are just THAT compartmentalized. She did say her one regret was her behavior the last 24 hrs. She CAN lose her cool. Ambition like that says she came from one place, saw where she wanted to go and is in the process of doing what she needs to to get there without wasting time and screwing around. Very Type-A. She can say she is "random" but in reality she is anything but.
It is a crying shame she's applying that talent and energy to arts and not science.
Social interaction issues aside, I admire the woman. She has a great life to look forward to.
eta - Of course as a Hamster I hate her. *eg* Sh'up! I do too!
