Amber really does use her crying for attention. My proof, she is sniffling at KT table, no one pays her any mind. She gets up goes to bedroom, starts her thing. Nobody cares. When no one showed up to coddle her she gets up & goes back to KT. And is not crying. When AmNazi has no audience she doesn't seem to be all blubbery.

One of my relatives cries like that for attention. Granted, she's a lot older than Ambore, but I see all the same traits in her. Including the need to cling to anyone willing to tolerate her. Example: Ambore's incessant death-grip on Dustin anytime he made the mistake of walking close enough to be grabbed.

As someone who was raised in a completely religion free environment, I am wondering about Waaaamber's beliefs. So does she think that OGG is like Santa Claus? It seems to me that it I were a Christian, I would take great offense at the way Waamber is with her relationship to God. Isn't it supposed to be about faith and not about asking for stupid shit all the time? And I know Jam is in a no-other-friends situation, but Waamber seems like the ultimate heathen to me. Is there any evidence of Waamber's religous convictions prior to entering the house?

What does bother me about AmNazi trying to "act" religious is she will be talking about praying or actually praying and the next breath take his name in vain.she was sniveling to Jam "but WHYYY did I have that vision ..GD it". No wonder OGG is smiting her.

From my Christian upbringing, I was taught that God cares about everyone, and can take care of many things at once. So praying about your own piddly problems is not distracting Him from major problems elsewhere. God is an excellent multi-tasker.

Therefore, praying about your foot surgery, or job promotion or reality tv show is not going to keep God from saving a family in Peru. God can handle it. He's God. It's what He does.

God is not Santa Claus. Prayers are not to just ask for things. Prayers are to give praise and thanks, too. Jameka is pretty good at that part. Ambore is teh suck at this. IMHO, Ambore needs to back off and realize that if "everything happens for a reason" then her not getting her God Requests is happening for a reason.

That was another lesson I learned early on in church. Just because you want it, doesn't mean you're supposed to have it. God knows best.

As a not-a-Christian but have read the Bible a few times in my life, they wouldn't be on a TV reality show, they'd be home, married, raising children and dressing down so as not to attract sexual attention to themselves. But, alas, people like to twist religion to be what they want it to be, not what the Bible instructs. I find Jameka and Amber to be nothing close to Christians in any sense of the word, even given that people often don't know crap about what Christianity really means. It has nothing to do with, would a deity have the time and superpowers to answer the prayers of many, it's that no true Christian would be begging and praying to win over other contestants on a TV show, they'd be out doing Christian work and helping spread the word.

Well, my post was over my particular pet peeve of 'deity superpowers.' But as for people twisting "religion to what they want it to be, not what the Bible instructs," you don't mean that literally do you? Because there are all sorts of crazy instructions in the Bible. It was written by flawed humans, after all.

Ambore probably believes that winning this money would help her raise her child, stay home more, be a better person and spread the word. And that getting on this show was an opportunity from God for her to do just that.

But in reality, she'll give it to her BF who'll spend it on weed and coke. Amber's OGG works in mysterious ways.

I'm curious if AmBore was as into religion at home as she is now. Or if it's like how when someone's incarcerated they tend to become super spiritual. She really seems confused even on the "everything happens for a reason" theory of Jams too. I personally think she has latched onto Jams beliefs and is milking it for everything it's worth.

I've known other people like Amber - whenever they felt "weak" they'd call on God to help them, but that's as far as it went. They didn't attend church, or search for deeper meaning, or try anything else usually associated with religion and spirituality.

For people like Amber, God is like a blowup toy in the pool - they grab when they need it, and then let go, once they get their heads above water level.

At first Amber was just so easy to laugh at. The jokes did and still do just write themselves. But I'm beginning to feel like she's too pathetic to be a joke.

Amber is an addict. She doesn't have access to her drug of choice and more power to her if she's really off the stuff. But an addictive personality will often find a substitute. It may be religion for her. She has never given any indication of having much education and certainly no religious education. Lacking any formal religious training she is just using God as a drug right now...relief from stress, instant answers, magical thinking.

There are many who do find solace and refuge from their spiritual beliefs. I wish she had a more honest tutor than Jameka.

I find much more fault with Jameka only because I think she has a stronger personality and is psychologically healthier than Amber is (at least out of the house).

I'm not even sure it goes that deep with Amber. I think she just uses it mostly for ego stroking, emotional manipulation, mirroring behavior with Jameka (Amber mirrors. Watch how she interacts with, say, Dani or Kail as opposed to Jameka. With Kail, she tried to turn into a Republican soccer mom, with Dani, it's haaard in the house, it suucks. She's subtly different with everyone in the house. Watch her and tell me if I'm just imagining things) and to some degree she tries to work the religion angle as a personal voodoo -- like she's casting magical spells to get what she wants.

One thing I've noticed with all her out-loud praying is that she never seems to pray for her daughter much. She prays for POV's but concern for her kid never seems to wander into her head unless she thinks it's beneficial to play the "I'm such a good mom" card. I don't believe she thinks about her kid much at all.

I have an idea for a new reality show that I think would be awesome. It would be called Amber Finds Out What America Really Thinks of Her.. What do you think?

As far as her newfound addiction goes, sadly, I've been around many a Meth user and each and everyone "turned" to God when they didn't have a fix. They'd preach, proclaim and carry on. They were good people and those people over there were going to hell, and they were good parents, it didn't matter that they hadn't seen or paid said child any support. They were good people DAMMIT!
