Over on the CBS forum there are some jerks bragging about how they flooded the AP with votes for Dustin. Looks like it worked. It's well-known that you can vote more than 10 times online, I just didn't know anyone would care enough to exploit it.

I rarely vote at all, and when I do it's only once - but I think it's cool someone decided to shake things up in this way. Making Eric target the person who was instrumental in saving him from eviction last night is just brilliant!

Well, in a way that is similar to sending the banners to try to out him. He is still supposed to be "America's Player" so there's not much logic to trying to make yourself a target.

I love Dick and Dani assigning houseguests to characters but I only caught a couple. Dustin as the Queen (of course) and Jen as the Mean Flower ..... my picks are
Amber is the Hooka Smokin Caterpillar
Eric is the King (I loved that he was like 2 feet tall in the animated version)
Dick is the Mad Hatter
Dani is the Doormouse
Zach is the Cheshire Cat
anyone else??

In Dicks defense, if she called my mom a bitch, I would have done a lot worse than call her that. Dick and Dani ahave actually had some pretty good conversation for the last 3 hours that I have seen.

I'm really conflicted about what I see and hear with these folks sometimes. I keep thinking that no matter how stressful things got for me that I would never ever be capable of the hate-filled, spiteful language that is an everyday part of their conversation. But then I remember that in order to even become a housemate, you must already think pretty highly of yourself to want to be on the show and therefore be predisposed to that sort of behavior. Let's face it - they're all a bunch of hosers and fame-whores.
Was it just last night (or the night before) that Danielle was saying "I'm a very private perrrrsooooonnnnn!"? You must be joking. A truly private person would be appalled at the idea of living in a fishbowl.

Well, if you're a fan of America's hamster, keep in mind that asking Eric to try to get Dustin nominated actually provides him with some useful information while not really putting Eric in any jeopardy.
Eric can make a lame, half-assed push to get DustButt on the mac - no problem.
But, now Eric can also assume that we have sent him a message that DustButt is a threat to him, which he is. I'm sure Eric is already aware that DustButt is a threat to him, but our "message" to Eric may prompt him to delve deeper into the DustButt sitch and take his presence more seriously. DustButt is really Eric's biggest competition now.
On the rest of the hammies - sweet chicken! This is seriously the most detestable group of people ever assembled for entertainment purposes. Words fail to describe this group. It's a farce of criminally insane proportions or something like that. Sometimes it really is like Alice in Wonderland except with characters from Natural Born Killers or something.
I think there has been some debate about whether the LNC is really the new nerd herd. I think yes and no. What I think is that you have nerd herders on both sides. You've got some really despicable people in the Donato camp and you've got some really despicable people in the Lame Night Crew.
ETA: about what Roxy said about Dani. When I heard Dani saying she was a private person, all I could think about was her dumb live journal where she posted that letter she wrote to Chriiiis.
By the way, Chriiis, Dani is too young and too much demon for you. You're better off without her, Dude. Find a nice human girl and forget about the Donato Spawn.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that neither Dick nor Dani is leaving this week. Of course, this all comes down to the veto and someone (anyone) using it on either of the two. Eric already floated out there to put up Dustin to keep Jen and Zach on their side (little does he know), but then Dustin was receptive to it and agreed it would be best for Jess not to make any more enemies. Seems like Jess was on board with it as well.
If that plays out and Dani or Dick are removed, Dustin is put up and Dustin is toast. Jen, Zach and whichever of the Donatos is voting obviously take Dustin out. America will, in all likelihood, have Eric vote Dustin out over either Dani or Dick. I'm basing that theory on the fact that America already wanted him nominated over everyone else.
Dani and Dick stay this week. The LNC implodes. Dani and Dick shoot themselves in the foot somewhere down the line (again). And Jess, Jen and Zach are our final 3.
Or maybe that's just wishful thinking because I hate those three the least. In this group, that's really not saying much.

But weren't they all the LNC before this whole Nick thing happened? I thought it was Dustin, Jessica, Eric, Jameka, Amber, Danielle and Dick up in that room discussing who to put up in place of Jen. Just because Dick and Danielle don't
want to be the new Nerd Herd doesn't make it so.

If Dustin does end up on the mac as a "pond," I think that Eric would not vote him out. He doesn't necessarily have to follow what America votes for him to do.
If he were to vote out Dustin, he would immediately be fingered by Jess, Jameka and Amber as the culprit, and he would be an outcast. He wouldn't be able to switch to DICK! et al, because they surely wouldn't trust him after selling out his ex-alliance.
I think that, in this case, it would be smarter for Eric to give up completing one task for the safety of being with 4 alliance mates.

Clearly Dick's morning madness is an attempt to make sure Dani is safe this week if neither of them get off the block. I would LOVE for them to keep him and vote Daniele out. I can't imagine the powers that be would let him go on like this endlessly, they would have no footage for the shows other than one long beeeeeeeep interspersed with the reactions of the rest of the house.

I have to give huge props to Dustin, Amber and even Jameka this morning during the Attack of the DICKhead!, part 8.
Obviously, Jameka learned her lesson and refused to engage like she did last time.
Amber and Dustin did an excellent job of ignoring him.
Eric was a little wuss and took off.
Zach is a toadie, and seemed to take his side.
Dani is a little bitch. She could have put an end to it and didn't.
I am not a violent person. I have hit exactly one person in my life, and I was 10 at the time. Right now, I would be in the DR and giving them two options. Throw him out of the house, or I will go out there and kick his ass. Your choice. You lose one player now, or you will lose two ... one of them on a stretcher.

I'd say that the HOH group is sick and tired of DICK!'s rantings. He has been in their faces for 3 hours, and it must be getting a little tiresome by now. Dustin, Amber and Jameka did stay downstairs for the first hour of DICK!'s rantings and had had enough. Every time they do venture out, he starts spewing his vile crap over and over again.
As for the bashing of DICK!, what are they supposed to do? Talk about knitting and what a swell guy he is? As I wrote in an earlier post, the bashing of DICK! is nothing more than banding together in order to give each other strength and lighten the mood a little.
They signed up to play a backstabbing, scheming, and sometimes nasty game. They did not sign up for someone to invade their personal space and make physical threats and spew verbal abuse.
I know that if I were in the house, I would be there too; not because I was scared of him, but because I would be afraid that I would take a swing at him.
It's interesting who DICK! decides to go after: The women and people smaller than him. I remember that when he went at Nick, Nick stood up to him and DICK! backed off like the yellow, cowardly dog that he is. He also never went at Mike.
He is a bully. He goes after who he perceives as weak. It's not in the least bit charming and he is not even remotely entertaining.

Rainestay, I agree that Jen handled it remarkably well. However, back then, it seemed a little different. I didn't like it when he did it then, but I may be able to allow that some of it was "gameplay." Also, he would go at her for 10 or so minutes and leave her alone for a day or two.
It seems that today is a little different. He seems to be more threatening and vicious. The first part of his rantings lasted an hour during which some of the HG's just tried to ignore him (like Jen used to) even though he got right in their faces. They would hide out in the HOH, come back outside and he would immediately start in on them again.

Did anyone see, a few nights ago, when Zach was talking to Dick and Daniele about Eminem in "8 Mile?" D&D were too busy ridiculing Zach about thinking they would ever see such a movie to really get his message (and, honestly, I'm not sure where he was going with telling this to those two) but his point was all about how effective it was for Eminem's "character" to start rapping about his own flaws to throw off the other rapper guy.
How funny would it be if Dustin, Jameka, Amber and Eric used this as a defense? They could yell things at each other or yell things about themselves to each other in front of Dick. I don't think it would shut him up but I think it would throw him off.

I'm absolutely disgusted with the goings-on in the house. Primarily from Dick, but from the others as well. I don't see anyone coming out of the house untarnished by this vile, hateful and hurtful atmostphere that permeates the BB house.
I have no problem with 'nerd herd' mentality and people turning on one another, parranoying about everone, etc., heck, that's the fun that is the BB house! But it's this vile hate from Dick that is just so distasteful. I'm sure that when everyone goes home, they'll be so appalled by their own behaviour in the house. let alone Dick's.
Dick adds nothing to the game. I look at the other hammies and all I see are a collection of scared, angry, traumatized targets who are willing to throw each other under the bus to avoid the Wrath of Dick
I think that by the BB house condoning Dicks' behaviour, he has set the bar so low that everyone is reacting to his garbage by appealing to him at his own level. Yes, I understand that he wants to get himself evicted so that Dani is safe -- I suppose an attempt at showing parental concern or whatever. But there has to be a line that, as a human being, you simply don't cross and, for Dick, (and by extension the other HG's as well) it's so low it's almost nonexistent.
Remember when we were shocked by Howie's treatment of Yapril? How, even though she was mean and nasty, she didn't deserve the mean things coming out of Howie's mouth. Well, OMG look what we have here with Dick and his garbage - I don't know how BB can, in good conscience, let this continue.
I would absolutely LOVE to have Dani be evicted this week. I figure at this point Dick would be so incensed that he would end up resorting to some violence (hopefully only in the 'pushing and shoving' kind, IYKWIM) and getting booted outta there.
Just my 2 cents....

back then, it seemed a little different. I didn't like it when he did it then, but I may be able to allow that some of it was "gameplay." Also, he would go at her for 10 or so minutes and leave her alone for a day or two.
It seems that today is a little different. He seems to be more threatening and vicious
I watched the Jen rants back then and thought they were puerile, disgusting and mean-spirited, but Dick's rants this morning really freaked me out. It helps to actually see it--I know my recaps didn't come anywhere close to capturing the sheer horror of listening to this guy. He seriously sounded like someone who should be put in a straightjacket, hauled away, and put in a rubber room so he wouldn't hurt himself. He was manic, twitching around, hitting furniture, banging pots, swearing a mile a minute, chanting over and over--really bizarre and scary behavior. Nothing like the back and forth that Jen engaged in with him out by the hot tub. Even when he was alone, he continued blathering to himself, to the cameras, pacing back and forth. Freaky stuff.
I know I wouldn't trust that BB producers could get to me in time if he actually struck out--say with one of those pots he was banging. He got
thisclose in people's faces--when Jameka brushed his arm, because he wouldn't budge from his position at the counter--he got nasty over the fact she "touched" him.
You can't fight back with a guy like that--there is no technique that will work because he's descended into irrational behavior. I don't blame them a bit for going to the HOH and locking the door.
They're not acting like the nerd herd. They're being sensible human beings.

He's over the top now, because he has absolutely no power and no friends, and nothing to lose. Not even Zach and Jen were tolerating him today.
The longer the Trivia goes on, the more I wonder if we're missing something good, that involves him getting kicked out. POV wasn't shaping up to be a pleasant, sportsmanlike event.

I was just wondering the same thing, Cami, especially if the comp did involve the giant weapon-like croquet mallets. Not that I've seen anyone get physically violent in the house yet, but I can't say I would be totally surprised if someone freaked out.

I love long POV/HOH blackouts. We recappers get so paranoid as to what potentially is happening in the house.
My fantasy?? They come back to the feeds, blood and hammy fur is all over the place. And there is Jessica, pom poms in her hands, cackling maniacally over DICK's prostrate body.

Snooky I feel exactly the same way about it. It was disturbing. I think the more they didn't react or engage with him, the worse he got. Retreating to the safety of the HOH was the smartest thing they could have done in the situation. If they had stayed down there and Dick continued, someone would have lashed out physically at him and I really can't say that I would blame them.
