10 minutes ago, I was still getting sent to the backup board. DNS propagating is a strange animal to be sure.

FYI, choice of web browser shouldn't affect where you're sent. However, people may need to clear their browser caches (IE/Windows: "Delete Internet Files" or something like that) before their browser can get the new DNS redirection.

ETA: I wasn't sure what IceMan meant by not being forwarded to the forum until I tried it.

On the old servers, www.hamstertime.net would automajically forward to actual board/forum directory at www.hamstertime.net/ht/

The current servers aren't doing that yet, so I'm assuming the web root directory and/or the "DefaultHomePage" file (index.html) on the current server hasn't been aliased to redirect to '/ht/' yet. I only got in originally coz I used a bookmark with the '/ht/' at the end of the URL.

One the upside, Fisty's favicon.ico shows up the the address bar.

Okay, I'm able to get back in, finally, by using Firefox instead of my AOL browser (which keeps bouncing me back to the backup board, even tho I cleared my cache, etc.). But so far if I use Firefox, it appears I can access and post here again. YAY!

I *think* I'm mostly all here now, via the Firefox transporter.

Accessing this board through AOL was still problematic ... for instance, I could read pages 1,2, and 4 of this thread, but the link to page 3 bounced me back to the Backup Board.

I felt like Moses .... I could SEE the Promised Land, but could not cross over.

Is that too many analogies, and too divergent (Old Testament / Star Trek) for a HT post?
