MrsGryn
Talk about the America's vote, how you are voting and why and all that entails here. Disucssions of Eric should only involve his role as America's Hamster, not his personality, effing or otherwise.
uaintjak
AmERICa should vote to dump Carol. Why? Because if we wanted another topiary or bush in the house, there are plenty to choose from in the backyard. Amber? She gives us tears and asks god to help her win vetoes. That shit is comedy gold, yo.
MrsGryn
I vote for him to evict Amber because anything(one) that annoys Jessica as much as her voice annoys me is good enough.
Magpie
I voted for him to evict Amber because 1) letting him vote for Carol is too easy, since that's the way the house is leaning, and 2) Amber is hell to recap with that motormouth of hers.

Oh, and I like MrsG's reason, too!
Just Kimmie
I cannot stand her red-faced, weepy, sad sack DR's frought with pretzel logic ("I'd never put Kail on the block...she's a mommy!") any longer. Vote her out, Eric....NOW.
michal
I voted for him to vote out Amber cause I love seeing how far her lip sticks out and I want to see how she looks when they all get akward around her cause they're voting her out. She is an EXCELLENT pouter and makes me laugh when she's all puffy faced & red eyed. As long as Jen is still in the house to add her drama then Amber can go.
uaintjak
Dudes. And Dudettes. If we dump Amber now...who will entertain us later? Carol will end up a puppet of Mrs Robinson, and then what? THEN WHAT? I ask you.

Let's keep in mind...this batch of hammies is boring. as. shit. And Carol is the dullest of them all.

I'm fightin for ya Dustin! Uh, I mean, Amber!
Just Kimmie
Well, hubbie is hoping for a Carol-Jessica cat fight (woof!...I mean, rrrear!)...so, what could I do?
tinkerjack
I want him to vote Amber, as it looks, it will make everyone wonder who voted Amber and shake it up a little, since they all think it will be unanimous Carol
Shannon
I can't stand her praying and thinking she should win and that some deity will do it for her, out damn Amber! Besides I want to see her stupid face when she's voted out...then she'll know her deity wants her to work for a living like the rest of the world.
Sophy
I cast all 10 of my online votes for Eric to evict Amber (I am too cheap to text any votes).

My reasoning:

1. Like Shannon, I am sick of the praying, as if Amber is more deserving to win than anyone else, and of course God is on her side. Yeah, right ... Poor God. As if she has time for these fools.

2. The house is leaning toward voting out Carol (the last I heard, tho they keep switching it up and I haven't caught up yet on recaps tonite, so who the hell knows). Eric wants to vote with the house. Having to vote for Amber would mess that up, and make for DOOG TV!

3. I want Carol to stay, not so much because I like her, but more to piss off Jessica, and because I can't stand the sight or sound of Amber. Plus it'll make Dustin cry.

eta: heeeheehee we know we shouldn't post drunk but I agree with #1 on #2 the tide has now turned among the Mrs Robinson crew so I am so against them getting the upper hand cuz I want drama & #3 would love to see $5 get pissed off & to see Dustbin cry

Good enough for me.

Although I'm not really voting. I wouldn't give CBS the satisfaction.

Now if we had to choose who he should punch, I'd be so there.
simone
I voted for Eric to vote out Carol. Yes, I know, the vanilla vote.

Amber is annoying, but Dick is in a quasi-alliance with her and for the sake of interesting tv, I want Amber and Dick to stick around for awhile.

I don't want to see another Kail sheep with Carol and a predictable ending to this show. I would like to see Dick give her a little bit of competition.

Dick is at least interesting and will call Kail out on her plans. OK, he may do a bad job of it and be too obvious but he'll be entertaining for awhile. I jumped ahead in my thoughts. I think if Amber goes, then Dick won't be far behind.

Edited to add: Dick reminds me of Howie in some ways. Ok, much cruder ways. He doesn't shut up talking strategy when he should but he isn't afraid to stir things up a little. Now I'm rambling.
Towanda
I voted to get Amber out. She does not entertain me. I'm sick of her Mom sympathy thing. I'm sick of her disgusting medical/menstrual stories, and I'm sick of hearing how good and true and wonderful she is (hurl). And earlier in the week she had kind of an entitlement thing going on which bugs me so much. She is NewMaggie to me now - nuff said.

Plus I don't want Jessica to gloat about it.

Anders44Leafs
I voted to get rid of Amber too. I want to shake up the perception of a landslide on Carol, I hate her Mommies Unite thing, and I am sick of hearing how much she loves Dustin.
Keith
I'm a vote to get rid of Amber.

1. It annoys me when the hammies think God wants them to win.

2. Since everybody appears to be voting for Carol, I hate unanimous votes. I think Eric can keep a secret and pretend he voted for Carol. So, I want things to be shaken up a little bit. The Mrs. Robinson alliance is too cocky. And, I think a vote for Amber might cause things to be a little more interesting, at least in the short term because everybody will be wondering why. If Carol goes on Thursday, I want her to have at least one vote, because I think the unanimous votes are pretty crushing, and I hate that the house acts like sheep. Over the years, many of my favorite hammies get voted out because everybody is a freakin' sheep. It's one of the things that I hate about these shows.

3. In the long term, I don't think Amber is going to be much of a powerhouse. I don't think Carol is either. But, I don't see any long term drama, or anything interesting out of keeping either of them. So, it's kind of a moot point.

4. I like Carol more than I like Amber.

5. Anything to keep Jessica annoyed is good in my book.
king erbil
I don't know about you, but it looked to me like the producers were doing everything in their power to convince America to keep Carol around...

Instead of sullen, anti-social, bitchface Carol, all the clips we saw last night were of resilient Carol - her recruiting allies and insisting that she was going to fight to stay in the house. Quite a change from the first several days after being nominated when she was all but ready to pack it in. Even if her newly-found motivation for staying was a simple one (outlasting her rival Jessica), at least it was something that most people could identify with.

As for Amber, we got to see several sides of her personality: sobbing Amber (repeatedly), nympho Amber (in bed with Nick), crazy Amber (expecting God to help her win the Veto competition) and pathetic Amber (the Veto competition itself). We got nothing about friendly Amber or compassionate Amber or the Amber who has already formed strong bonds with several of her housemates.

Personally, I could take or leave either one of them. The only thing that makes me want to see Carol go home is because Amber has befriended several of the houseguests I like the best and I think that she could be a useful ally to them.

Now I can completely understand the producers' desire to make it look like the vote is going to be a close one, especially since there was talk of an 11-0 shutout during the early part of the week. But it's looking more and more like this vote will be a close one and that Eric's vote could even be the deciding factor. With that being the case, I think it was both unfair and uncool of the producers to show both Amber and Carol the way that they did last night.
KatJam
I sent all my 10 votes Amber's way. The whole "Are you there God, it's me, Amber" thing pushed me right over the edge.
insideout
i also voted for Amber to go. I think Eric will do it if it's his assignment. I think he'll think the vote is a slam dunk for amber to stay, which makes me hope that it ends up being the swing vote.

even a 10-1 would probably set amber off (and eric could pin it on Jen anyways..) so yeah. I agree Amber was only shown crying last night.. but she was doing it in several different outfits which sort of does reflect that she's in there crying a lot (and that it wasn't all just one DR session)
Minxy
Anything that will piss Je$$ica off is good with me. I just want that smug look smacked off her squeaky little rodent face.
Magpie
I hope CBS is going to tell us what the vote results are instead of waiting till tomorrow night's show for us to find out. I just checked the CBS site, and nada.
lurker
I voted for Amber, ten times at cbs.com. She just makes me insane, like no one else ever had a hard life. If God is on her side why'd he/she put Amber through all that?

Also she talks too much about her period, and it's graphic. We shouldn't have to recap that! Any hope, however slim, of her taking her ginormous forehead and foul chitchat outta the house makes me smile.
ff174
I refuse to give CBS the satisfaction by voting on their site.

This is tough one. Anyone who holds their boyfriend's dick while they pee deserves to voted out on GP. However, Amber promises more drama. More crying. More meltdowns.

I'm guessing Eric will go into vote and he will have the envelope with America's choice. He will open it then and that's when we will find out how America voted. But I believe he doesn't have to do what America says. But If I remember correctly, he gets a prize if he does do what America says.
Ellecious
10 votes for Amber, and I thought I'd be the only one...
Magpie
I bet you're right, jerrye25, and BB will keep the vote secret till we see Eric in the DR.

He gets $10,000 for every 5 tasks he completes, so if he votes other than how we told him to, he just doesn't get credit for this task. It's kind of interesting, because Eric has to decide on each task whether he wants to go for the money if he thinks the task will hurt his chances to stay in the house.

I voted the same for the same reasons.
ihearthammies
I think it would be better if Eric was able to get his task early enough to campaign for people to vote his way. Then we would have even more of a chance of "our voices being heard." Hear that CBS? Do you hear it?
insideout
i believe he will have enough time when the task comes for us to tell eric "who to target for nomination"

which makes it all the better if eric ever won HoH.

eric's going to have a lot of insight as to who the public favors in the house... wonder if he'll use it in his own strategy (alligning with the side he realizes we like)?
Towanda
I'm not sure he'll be around long enough to vote our way after a few weeks. He's not winning any friends with his refusal to commit to vote one way or the other till he finds out what America wants. He would be better off making a tentative commitment to someone and then deciding whether or not to go against that and blame any wayward votes on some unsuspecting scapegoat.
Keith
I agree. This is what I don't get. It's so easy in the early stages of the game, to vote one way and deny it. Nobody is ever going to know, so I don't know why people don't use this to their advantage.

It seems so obvious to me, but it's never done! (except by Will Kirby)

I agree, inkyL. TOTALLY the new Maggie. Urgh, she makes me cringe just listening to her. Besides, she's frikkin' ugly. I hate her pulling the mom card, talking like God is her personal manservant, and her trashy talk.

I think Eric will survive fine, even if it goes against the house, because he's twitchy and weird anyway.

ETA: I also hate how AmBORE sits on the couch with her feet up and her knees wide open, giving us a poor feedsters a full-on crotch shot.

...I liked that Snooky

I sat there dumbfounded when she started here whole"God is testing me" thing.I said oh hell another freaking wackjob.

I kinda liked her at first. But she is fast getting on my nerves. I think she is starting to wear on Dustin's nerves too.

I have always known at this point in the show who I liked, this year I swear they all suck. Except Dick.
karolm
My ten votes went to Amber.

It seems like it has been a really long week.
PuffTrinket
I'm even disappointed in America's hamster. He came across great on TV, but on the feeds, he doesn't sem motivated by ANYTHING- certainly not motivated for us, and not even motivated by self-interest.

I had a spark of interest for about five mintues, then it faded.

I am afraid that this may become the summer I lose interest in BB. *gasps* PLEASE, producers DO SOMETHING. And DON'T do more DOOGTV stuff, do something real.

That's what's bugging me- the entire cast and crew, including "our hamster" have blatantly embraced DOOGTV, and that's all they are interested in. Now it's not just for 3 network shows a week, but for three hours a day, too. Look, I know it's only going to be actor/model/personality/celebrity wannabe types willing to do the show, but the more obvvious it becomes, the more boring it is. Maybe All-Stars was a bad idea. It wrecked the concept. There's really nothing real or immediate about any of it now that there are manufactured "stars."

Look, why not make a contest of some kind and let a few hamster watchers actually communicate with Eric, instead of this thin little multiple choice thing. Go ahead and hand pick them, I don't care about that, but let Eric have an internet chat in the DR.

I don't know, but something has to happen.
siandam
I was excited by the whole America's Choice hamster. A chance to actually have some say in this damn game. But then I got to know potty mouth Eric and I don't particularly like him and don't think he's gonna stick around very long.

But then I also realize that "America" is voting. Which would be fine if HT was "America", or I was "America", but we are not. "America" tends to vote the opposite of me. "America" tends to be idiots. I am preparing to be disappointed with "America's" vote.

You are SO right. It seems the vast majority of us here at HT are like-minded in how we think the show should go...but the rest of 'America' (whomever they may be) tend to go in a different direction.

Could it be that the producers AREN'T catering to us here at HT?? WTF is up with THAT??

I demand justice!
Shannon
I'm not forgetting that America was great when it kept giving everything to Jedi Jani LOL that was sweet to see the Maggie Slugs get bitch slapped over and over. So maybe, just maybe American hates Ambore too. Please!
MrsGryn
Ooo, good point Shannon!
svetlana
I consider myself a pretty big Big Brother fan and I don't understand how I did not know that we could tell F'NEric who to evict! I voted for him to tell the story but I missed this vote. I am sooooooooo mad. I am really slackin' this summer!
Magpie
It's supposedly after every show, so check the CBS site tonight!
Just Kimmie
Well, I am ZERO for TWO on voting with the majority so far!!

Does that make me smart or D-U-M???

All right kids...who are ya voting for tonite??

Jen's HOH, so I gotta go with Jessica all the way!!

Look at Just Kimmie, making me merge her posts! - Gryn
Sophy
I still loathe Ambore, but America appears to love her (stupid America!) .... so rather than waste votes on her, I'll go with Jessica too, just to get poor Carol some justice.
'Tis Me, KR
:: searching for the silver lining ::

Well, at least the house *might* get exciting now that Jen is HOH. Let's hope.

I'm voting for Jessica because I'm tired of hearing her screechy voice. That's enough reason for me.

YES! The Carol revenge thing is just a side benefit. Too bad they won't both spend time together in sequester!!

I threw a few votes her way too Magpie. The rest were for Danielle and that cocky squeaky idiot Jesica.
