I don't know if anyone watches General Hospital but it hit me as I was watching tonight's GH: Night Shift episode that Eric reminds me so much of Spinelli. Not in looks, but in personality. They're both spazzy, chattery, dorktastic, a little socially awkward, and walk a fine line between endearing and annoying. And they both have huge crushes on pretty blonde girls who are their BFF, although the sunny Jessica is nothing like the always crabby Lulu.

I'm loving our Hamster!! More than any other houseguest to date, I think he's there more for the sheer love of the game than just famewhoring. I don't think anyone else in that house could pull off playing his game combined with our game as smoothly as he has. Our twitchy, nerdy little hammie is doing NYC proud!

I'm with you, Haunted Rain. I want to like him because I think he's playing the best game in the house. And I have moments where I enjoy him. He's a blast when he hangs out with Jessica, and I even think he's pretty fun with Jen. But he is absolutely revolting to me when he's with Dick, and unfortunately that's a lot of the time. I do think it's partially an act and an attempt to morph his personality to the company he keeps, but then I wonder whether it's the Jess funtime guy who's the fake or the Dick shit-talking buddy who's an act.

He's just pretty vile, and the ease with which he jumps onto these bandwagons kind of freaks me out. The amount of hate he's leveled at Dani, Joe, Zach, and now Nick, just doesn't seem to be totally planned and rational gameplay to me. He becomes too unhinged. And if any of these houseguests start comparing notes, he's gonna be in deep shit.

Okay, the bolded part kind of amuses me because I have a feeling his conscience may be getting to him in that he's been doing exactly that to Nick for the past couple of days.

This kind of makes me laugh; mostly because he is not, what I would consider, an intimidating guy. Some of the girls probably outweigh him, and Jen has already kicked his ass at wrestling. I just don't see him taking, let's say, Nick out.

It's kinda' like being threatened by a 98 pound weakling; you just bust up in his face.

As for his Zach comment, I'm with you. I am not going to give him a pass on this behaviour other than to say that he seems to be the type of person that doesn't think before he speaks. His mouth is about 5 seconds ahead of his brain. Also, I think that BB puts people in a situation whereby HG's act in ways that they would not regularly act in real life (except DICK! I think we are seeing the real DICK!.) They give them absolutely nothing to do. They are bored to tears. As a result, they turn to that age old sport of bashing other HG's.

I would hope that if he gets confronted with this statement, that he would be truly remorseful.

For me, this is different than Dustin's "desparate child fucker." He seems to be the type of person that is more calculating. There seems to some venom behind his statement.

It's a shame, because I really like the way he is playing the America's hamster part. I think that he could pretty much get away with anything while blaming somebody else.

I completely understand what y'all are saying about Eric, but I think the reason I don't hate him yet (but completely reserve the right to change my mind at any point in the future) is what ff174 said. That is, I think Eric does have diarhea of the mouth, and he says a lot of things before he speaks. I think it's all part of his trying to be funny schtick. So, some offensive things slip from his mouth, that for some reason, I really don't think that he means.

I'm no psychologist or anything, but I think if someone asked him if he really means that he thinks Zach is a child molester, he'd probably say no, and maybe apologize. Yet, I think if someone asked Dustin the same thing, Dustin might try to defend his statements as being true. Eric just doesn't seem as Jenuinely malicious. Dustin is starting to come across as if "pompous arrogant control freak libelous asshole" is his true to life MO.

Like I said, I reserve the right to change my opinion on Eric as the game goes on. But, right now, not that I'm giving him a pass, but I just have this "gut feeling" that he's not really a malicious nerd herding type in real life.

Dustin, on the other hand, seems like this is how he might really operate, and I just get a really sickening vibe of maliciousness from him. And, I don't think I have any particular reason to be pre-biased against either one of them because, as of earlier this week, they were both in my top favorite houseguests category. Yet for some reason my instincts are giving me really negative vibes in regards to Dustin, but not so much with Eric. Not sure why. I suppose time will tell as the game goes on.

Obviously they won't be able to bring back any players this season because they know about Eric being America's Player. But what happens once the evicted house guests are going to sequester and Eric's still in the house? Do they not uncloak them when Julie chats with them after the eviction? That's no fun. I want to see Jen's reaction to the mustard. And I want to see Dick when they tell him Jen wasn't the second vote to keep Kail. These people will be voting, so they can't expose him.

And probably there won't be any field trips to events around LA this season either for fear someone in the crowd would yell out that Eric's playing for us. There's some speculation right now that they were rushed into the house because of a plane with a banner. What's to stop someone from flying over with a banner saying Eric's AP?

He is one of my favs. He can be a little mouthy and cruel at times, but no more than most other Hg's that I have loved in the past(Janie included.) I just worry about him getting shit faced and spilling more info (like mustardgate) to people. I am on board with him as long as he stays out of the God Squad.

I just loved the fact that Eric didn't jump on board the "Dick is violent and is a danger to people's safety" train. He said Dicks behavior is unacceptable but Kail & Jen are getting carried away. Erick is trying to manipulate everybody.

First he encourages Dick to attack people.
Then he tells the people that Dick attacks not to worry, he'll step in if need be.
Then he says don't use the words "verbal abuse."
Then he tells Jen just hang in there, I want to team up with you.
Then he tells Dick not to worry about what BB said, he'll be fine.

May make him a good player (if he doesn't keep spreading himself too thin) but I really dislike him.

But, strategy is all ABOUT that...deflecting the focus away from yourself to your own betterment. It may be distasteful, but strategically, it's smart...unless he (as suspected) spreads himself too thinly, a la Nick.

I'm starting to get a little concerned for America's Hamster. There is a slow fraction happening between the late night folks. It seems like Eric, Jessica and Jameka are going one way, Dustin and Amber are heading another and Dick and Dani are going there own way. The only that concerns me is that Eric could be pegged as the ringleader of that group and if so, I'm guessing he goes out. I'm pretty sure Dustin and Amber will stick with one of the two groups but I don't know which one.

Eric seems to do a lot of scheming with people although he tries to make it appear like he's letting other people bounce things off him. I think once there is a divide, he will appear the ringleader.

I think I read that Eric went to Jen about helping her out. I'm not sure how serious he was but it would interesting to see Dick's reaction if something like that happened.

This guy is good - he's managed to get Dani to call of her dog, get the use of the HOH for conferences, shore up his standing and vote with Jess, and set the stage for a comeback victory. He may not do it but if he does this might surpass RWJames for getting Jen to get Kaysar out instead of RWJames (which was a monumental performance that I would have never believed he could rescue himself from)

It's impressive. I'm still wondering if Jess is being honest with him or not but it sure seems like it.

Ok Eric is pissing me off a bit. A couple of times now Jess has had tears in her eyes as it seems Eric is veering into telling her how much he likes her, etc. and dumbass turns left and talks more game! Just tell her you like her, you really, really like her, that's all you need to do!!! Sheesh!!

I still have to wonder if the DR told him (and they probably have psychoanalysed these people to death) how to approach this in a way that would appeal to these people. But even IF that's the case, he is implementing it very well. I really do think a lot of it is genuine, which is probably making it a lot easier. I bet that if he survives, his approach to play will be a lot different.
