Heh, thanks, Tsy. As always, you are apparently the only one who can count to 300 and open a new thread when it's needed.
There was a question in the previous thread about donations. I'm pleased to announce that we are open for business now, so anyone who is able to donate to Fisty's care and feeding can do so by clicking the Donations link at the top of the page. Fisty thanks you!

Hee! I was so pleased when I got the emial tonight. Ready for another season with y'all.
Don't know much what to say, that I haven't said already.
The school year was really great. Unbelievable kids. First year in my entire career that I didn't write ONE SINGLE disciplinary referral. Well, I wrote one, but it was for eating beef jerky in class- I hardly think that counts, do you? Honestly, I have never had such an amazing year with kids. they were ready and willing to learn, and if I could have kept up with the paperwork, they would have done massive amounts of work every week without complaint. They seem to really care about learning and imporving their skills- even the ones that don't care about grades. So tell that to anyone who is worried about the younger generation... there are some terrific ones out there, too. I'm not starry eyed enough to think this trend will continue forever, but I sure am going to enjoy it now!
That's pretty much it. That and gardening (for endangered insects and wetlands speicies), classic cars (1970s chevelle and corvette), hell's kitchen, cops and other shows (I love white trash TV) and of course...
HAMSTER TIME! *dances* ...break it down now...

Giving famewhores the finger for 5 years. Tee hee.
Hi Y'all! You may have read that I'm no longer on staff, but I may show up here and there. I'll be undertaking yet another international move right in time for the season, so chances are I'll need to invest my time and energy into that (hallo, Munchen!) moreso than the famewhores.
This year has been NUTS. Tons of travel - Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Canada, Austria; Crazy ups and downs at work and severly cutting back on my job to take on freelance translating; A boy, who was merely a distraction during last season, but for whom I'm now relocating to Germany. So there you have it! I'll try to pop in here and there but don't think I'll have much opportunity to watch feeds or the shows...

And buffy, what is that in your avatar? Is that the new fast food place where you're working??

Buffy's avatar looks suspiciously like a Waffle House to me. I think she's pimping our heroine Julia from Hell's Kitchen. (Go Julia!!!!)
I'm afraid to see where this "stick comparison" discussion is going to wind up.

OH MY GOD! I'm so excited (and I just can't hide it!)
Big Brother! Under 2 weeks! My show that I love to hate is back!
And now...the bad news. I won't be able to watch the feeds this year. My computer has been crashing for the past few months any time I try to watch any kind of streaming video. This is season is going to be fucking HORRIBLE (errr....even more horrible than normal, that is) without the feeds.
Thankfully I have you guys to get me through it. It won't be the same, but it'll hopefully be enough for me to get a fix.

I'm somewhat of a computer geek, what kind of symptoms does it have? Does it crash at other times, only when you watch video? Is it an old computer or is it fairly new?
fazzle
Jun 20 2007, 09:28 PM
Older computer. Probably about 3-4 years. It crashes on basically everything streaming (video, audio, some flash shit.)
Then sometimes, it gets into a continuous cycle of rebooting before it's booted all the way up.

I'm back for more torture excitement with another season! I haven't decided if I'll get the feeds this year, but one thing is for sure: it's time for me to finish watching the 6 or 7 episodes of 24 that are still on my DVR, along with a ton of other crap, to make room for the Chenbot and the Hamster crew. I'm with
Snooky! As far as PC reformatting goes, I would almost consider using some disk imaging product like this (
http://www.symantec.com/home_homeoffice/pr...mp;pvid=ghost12, although there are a number of similar products) to allow an easy restore once in a while by making an backup image once you have all your drivers and software already loaded. Then a clean system is literally minutes away.

Not sure where to put this, but since I haven't posted in here before...
I just got home from
Pride Toronto where I'm pretty sure I passed within 3 ft of BB3 Marcie while I was walking around the gaybourhood with friends.
I had absolutely no compulsion to speak to him, even to confirm whether or not it was him. It's not that I actually dislike Marcie; I think I just don't care after last season's All Star craptacular.
My first thought was: "ooo... Hamstertime.net posting." My second was: "Too bad it isn't James (BB6) or Nurse Will (BB5) instead."
Live feeds will be a budget issue unless the right promo comes along. There's no resurrecting my XP laptop, so live show chat will be a challenge from my bedroom desktop Mac.

I just wanted to say how much I miss this board. I go on a few other message boards for Lost and a couple of other shows. On those boards people are so mean and nasty to each other, no respect at all. I love Hamster Time it makes my BB experience so much better. I have been reading this board for three years, I believe, and I am so happy we are getting ready for a new season.
