When we left off, we were discussing the likelihood of a CT win. Carry on!

The fact that anybody believed, at any point, that Will wanted to leave rather than staying, just proves how dumb these people are.

Then, various hammies, like Ericka, James, and Dani actually "teamed up" with Tool Town. How stupid are these people? Putting their trust in Will? Did they all have lobotomies before they went into the house?
Teaming up with Tool Town instead of voting them out... yeah, there's a plan! So they help Tool Town with the numbers, then they walk out the door. One after the other. Like brainless lemmings.

Exactly. It hurts to watch so many be so dumb! Dumb dumb dumb. They had the advantage of watching how each of these hamsters played in a previous season--a huge advantage! Instead of having that information inform their strategy, they ignored it when it came to Will.

I agree Kaystar's stupid "target floaters" strategy was at fault, but so was Janelle's "believe whatever Will tells me as I kiss my friends goodbye" strategy and Danielle's "believe the Legion of Doom is real" strategy and Erika's "believe Mike Booger likes me" strategy. Mostly I'm really disappointed in the remaining women--no independent thinking, a need for a man's attentions--who are these twits, and why are they on this show again?

Those who played in season 2 were definitely better players because they recognized the obvious "power of two," as they called it, and worked to evict at least one of a every pair.

Sad thing is, if Will HAD gone home in the first week or two, we might have had a much more interesting game finding out who people like Nakomis or Alison might end up allied with. Chill Town as a pair playing the whole way through--two guys with a strong outside relationship already in place--isn't nearly as interesting to me as the new relationships formed during the show.

Exactly.

This whole season has been pretty much a waste, IMO. I'm glad I didn't plunk down good money for the live feeds (not that I had time to watch anyway).

Bah!
swsa
I just don't know if I have the heart to keep on watching. It's gotten to the point now where I'm openly hoping the producers will start cheating and telling Janelle in the DR, all the shit Will's saying about her. Or that they'll force Erika and Janelle into a room together with no interruptions. Watching them continue to get played is just painful. And I came in this season with Will as my #1 favorite and will be leaving it early hoping that anyone but him wins it. It just feels like the emotional manipulation came along with too much cruelty this year and I can't even take watching him anymore.

And man, Janelle is going to have a breakdown when this season ends. She's going to be utterly humiliated. And watching that train heading right towards her while she's completely oblivious? Ouch. It's like Diane x 1000.

Boogie and Will came in as a team. Everyone else had loose connections but there were no other solid-honest-to-god teams. They did not hide this. They did not deny the fact that everything they said was a lie. The fact that a group of seasoned veterans of the game let them stay, time after time, says that all of them were either stupid or they were placated somehow behind the scenes to allow the two "stars" to hang out for good ratings. Someone, not just Will & Boogie, had all of the hamsters convinced that CT was just there for TV exposure and had no ambitions one way or the other to win.

Cynical. True. But I also think a great deal of the actual evictions and comps were scripted and rehersed to death. They weigh future gigs with CBS vs the remote chance of winning a rigged game and toed the corporate line when told to do so. They are paid actors ... employed by CBS. They all signed contracts.

For awhile there, they were discussing bonuses for meeting certain goals in the "game".

It is for exactly this reason, that I have not enjoyed this season at all. This year, the game just seems joyless. I am already looking forward to next season, if there even is one. Bring on the newbies!!!

I said for weeks that Will was using Janie and that she was oblivious to it. I actually no longer think that is 100% the case.

I do think he is mostly using her and it doesn't surprise me at all. However, Will is in serious denial if he thinks he can pretend it was all game and that Erin will take him back like nothing happened. He crossed the line with Janie on more than one occassion and I hope Erin dumps him for it.

I also think that Janie was completely snowed by Will until the Howie eviction. The problem is that I think Janie somehow convinced herself she could beat Will in a final 2 vote. I want to say she isn't stupid enough to fall for this "split the banana bread" plan. But I do think she believes that winning all those competitions is going to carry her favor with the jury. So she decided that if Will was going to protect her, she would let him and then she would beat him in the end. I just think she's very, very wrong.

Janie v. Will

Janie gets George and Howie.
Will gets Mike, Erika, James and Dani.

No need to even think about who Marci will vote for.

The good news is that I don't think Janie will be 100% heartbroken over the good doctor (though she might be boyfriendless when she gets out) but I do think she'll feel like a fool for thinking she could beat him.
Alise
Thinking about it all since my fave HG got evicted last night, I wondered how the game strategies could have been different from her point of view.

First, because S6 were in power the first month and they looked to Kaysar as the Messiah (with the exception of James), the rest of the HG's didn't have alot they could do except with their votes. James tried desperately to nom CT in the 3rd week, but S6 wore him down and instead of putting up Boogie to go against Will he put up Jase (a move that was pushed by Janie and Kaysar).

Then Dani was HOH, and I agree with her thought process, that the biggest block (S6) that were allied, needed to be broken up. At this point she needed CT's votes to get rid of one of the members of S6, though I think actually aligning with them was a mistake. You have to know that Will's idea for the alliance was to keep tabs on Dani because he knew that she was hands down the only person who a)he couldnt control with mind games and b) she'd kick his ass out the door the first minute she realized he was in any way a threat to get her out right away and c) she was as good a player as he was, but didn't have a real alliance (he had Boogie and Erika). He also knew she was very loyal to her alliances and used that.

Janie regains control as HOH and instead of doing the smart thing for her alliance (as it was), she continues along the floater theme, and because Will needs Dani to stay to keep Janie on target, he begins to push Janie to take out those who may be loyal to Dani or Janie in anyway (Marci, James, and Howie (who really liked Dani and felt she was honest and wouldnt lie to him). By doing this he has accomplished two things, Dani's allies and Janie's are gone. Dani realized too late that she needed to get him gone (she said to Erika during the week Marci left that Will was way too powerful for their own good), but never regained the chance to do anything about it.

She needed a 'Jason' from outside S6 while keeping James along as a second parachute (much like in S3 with Jason and Lisa). Nakomis or Jase were her best bets, and had she approached either before the show, she might have been able to do something.

I just don't see how she could have played it any differently without as she puts it 'a team', and as a result we have the four most boring people left in that house. Will's trying to ditch Janie, Boogie is trying to keep Erika at arm's length and Janie and Erike barely speak. Oh whoopee.

When I saw Dani on Housecalls this morning she seemed so relaxed I was glad for her. Never mind Will saying she was the best player 'never to win' the game, to me she will always be the best player to ever set foot in that house during 7 seasons.

Beehoppy
I agree, as per usual, merlynn.

Janie views the game differently than most. To her it is a large competition made up of numerous smaller competitions. And the goal is to win most of the little ones and then you'll win the big one. She's not a strategist.

She giggles all the time about how bad "the boys," and in particular Will, are at comps. I know she honestly believes she can beat anyone in the house based on that. Just hold up her Veto medals and HOH baskets and say "too bad, so sad." to who ever is sitting next to her. But most of the rest of the hammies are going to vote on strategy over comp dominance I think. Save George, Howie and Marci-the only votes she is likely to get.

For that reason no one else would be foolish enough to take Will to F2. Save for Boogie, but he is a Butt Monkey and that is his job.
merlynn
Well I posted before that I think Dani could have done things differently but it would have taken what no one in that house wanted to do for four weeks - stick your neck out.

She should have pushed for a Mike nomination with James in week 3. James needed someone to push him into doing what he wanted. Instead, all he got was the Sovs plan to get out Jase. That was not in his best interest and he knew it. That was Dani's "get Lisa to vote Amy back in" moment and she missed it.

Then she could have stepped up with the "define and dismiss" competition. She never once rung in. At the very least, she could have taken Janie out. But she and every other idiot (Erika took out George!) were content to throw it and let S6 continue their reign.

Forming an alliance with CT was just the stupid mistake on top of all other stupid mistakes. But everyone else in the house made the same stupid mistakes she did. That's why we're looking at a CT win in the most predictable season ever.

I was just wondering if anyone had any news on Hurricane John and if they've evacuated. I told my friend I need to turn on the Weather Channel and watch for a group of guys clutching a robe, a light saber and a doll.

*snort* I would've paid double for live sequester feeds...Marcy was probably maniacle, Howie enthralled and James probably had to be tranquilized due to anxiety overload and yelling at the other two. Ah, good times.

Word. Whoever thought up Allstars (Will?) should be fired, I really hope they're renewed and able to get their crap together for a decent S8.

For once I'm hoping it is rigged for Janie, anyone, but Booger.

Dani has her faults, but I love her anyway. Of the three women in that house toward the end (so many were gone so soon), she had the self-determinism and cajoles the other two lack. She's an independent, strategic thinker, and wasn't letting her hormones dictate her gameplay. Which is why Will needed to get her out when he did. He has always managed to be one step ahead, which is why I believe Will is the master of the game.

I saw that same cruel streak in S2, when he did the same crap to Nicole ("You know you're in love with me"), which is why I never rooted for him. I think he's been less cruel this year, and I kind of want him to win because he deserves it and the rest have all played so stupidly. In S2, Nicole nearly had a mental breakdown over it. Janelle is much stronger. I think she'll be over Will within a week. Both she and Will are self-absorbed people, and Janelle changes men almost as often as she changes her clothes. She came in with a boyfriend, just like last year (and got one on the show last year, which lasted five minutes outside the house). She didn't need another boyfriend this year. She should know better than to fall for Will's flattery and other crap. I'm sure she's heard it all before.

I worry more about Erika, who had a pre-existing relationship with the Booger outside the house. She just came off of a five-year relationship, and hasn't really had time to completely get over it. Booger screwing her over could be devastating for her.

I wish Alison had lasted longer. I think she would have been happy to go after Chill Town.

As for beating Will in F2, fuggedaboudit! Will, the one player who I always believed could never, ever get to the end this season, the only former winner, in the final 2?? He's so winning this game again, and hats off to him. I am in awe--and maye a little fear. Guy should be doing more than injecting botox in past-their-prime D-list actresses--he should be a stealth weapon for the CIA!

One of the reasons you seldom see me recap strategizing is because I have believed all along that it was directed at the behest of the DR and thus completely bogus. I am generaly more interested in everything they do and say when they are not "playing the game".

So many times I'd see them go off on an interesting strategy tangent and then realign right back where they started after a few sessions in the DR. At that point I decided the entire strategy thing was retarded. Easier to just ask BB for the script.
swsa
In the first few weeks, I started to wonder about the DR influencing things in oblique ways...when people were called in to vote, in what order, who got to talk to the HoH's last before nominations, etc. But in the last few weeks, yeah, I'm starting to get more suspicious as it almost feels like Will is using the DR as his private conference room.
flintejae
I am so upset at Will. HE opened the doors for Janelle to come onto him - she thought he liked her and now he's flipped it on her like she's the crazy psycho!

I have lost ALL respect for him. I want him gone.

Fortunately for Janelle, she'll be going back home to Minnesota to pick up her dog. Her mom and family can give her a soft place to land for awhile. Additionally, she does have a job she likes and she can be talked into looking forward to that.

Note: Interesting how long some of the the "Producer Picks" lasted on the show: Will, Boogie, C-George, and Danielle.

Here's random question I thought of last night while the girls were getting ready for the hot tub...who will pose for Playboy first - Erika or Janelle?
Sardonic
Once upon a time, a wise man once said the following:

"Dana is not smart in the way she plays. Her brains are in her panties and she’s got the sex appeal of a buzzard’s crotch."

Jack's prophetic words carried on to the All-Stars season, where both of the women in the final four, regrettably, have their brains in their panties, and it remains to be seen if Mike has one in the first place.

At this point, I think the person that deserves to win this thing is Will, or the person willing to take Will down. If Janelle had the sense to take Will out, she would deserve the win. But she's not going to do that. Erika has already pissed away the game... she has no chance to beat Will, not a very likely chance against Boogie, and a very, very slim chance against Janelle. Perhaps if she took Will down, she could win the respect of the jury.

At this point, it looks very much like either Will is going to win this, or worst case scenario, Erika survives the week, wins HOH, boots Will, and takes Boogie to the end and loses to him. And Boogie winning instead of Will is kind of like Amber winning instead of Rob... it's a moot point, really.

With Will, I don't feel bad for anyone that's fallen for what he's selling. They all knew quite well he was a snake, and I think most of his victims (like, say, DANIELLE) should have been smart enough to not fall for it. It's like the woman who says "I know his first seven wives died mysteriously, but I look forward to being wife #8 because it'll be different this time." Will and Boogie played one thing well, though: bring the two women with Daddy issues into the final four, and either way, both Drews have their Diane.
swsa
I do feel bad for Janelle with Will just because I honestly didn't think he had this kind of gameplay in him either. The way he manipulated her in week 4? Or how he got her to put Marcellas up? No problem. That's typical Will and she was dumb to fall for it. But in the last week or so it really took a turn towards the personal and creepy. And I do have issues with that. And the thing is, it really will work. Janelle will never vote him out, I think largely because she'd think that would make her look mean or heartless. Little does she know.

Will, OTOH, I think will seriously contemplate tossing Janelle if she doesn't win veto. It actually wouldn't help his game all that much since Janelle would take him to F2 and Erika never would. But I think he wants to vote her out just to make sure his girlfriend and everyone knows how badly he was playing her this entire time.

It's possible, but I don't think Will would ever choose integrity and his real-life relationship over money and the chance rub his second BB win in everyone's face. He just isn't configured that way.

Word, Sardonic. Will's openly stated and shown that he is a liar and a manipulator, and it was foolish of any of the hamsters to think otherwise. If he pulls off the win, he absolutely deserves it, IMO, and I won't feel sorry for any of the rest of them.

It would be awesome if George got to be the next colonel. I thought there was a resemblance between them. Or if he just did KFC commercials, that would be good too.

When you compare this season to the Survivor All Star season, I'm surprised the hamsters didn't take aim their first shots at ChillTown. Richard Hatch was one of the first booted from Survivor that season because no one wanted him to win again. Of course, Richard did walk around naked all season, and there was that groin incident....

But this season of BB has been like one long high school semester, where the nerdy kids have voted the cool kids for Prom King instead of one of their own. With all the time in the world to strategize, I'm thinking they overthought their strategy.

Any idea how much money there is in "just" doing the commercials? George would end up the real winner of BB7! It's highly highly unlikely though... thank heaven!

And hell yeah, Will deserves to win! I fully expected him to be evicted in week two when CBS announced they were doing All-Stars this year. The fact that he made it past week three is amazing, and in my opinion he's made the entire season worth watching - again! Thank heaven Mike talked him into doing the show - yeah right, Will had to be "talked" into it? He deserves to win, and if he doesn't I'll be really surprised.

The whole reason I watched this season was because I remember in Season 2 going from hating every moment Will was on the screen to grudgingly admiring his manipulative skills, to out-and-out loving the fact that he told everyone to their faces that he would lie and stab them in the back and they would assist him by turning around so he wouldn't have to stretch to hit right between the shoulders. He'd hurt someone's feelings on purpose, then apologize for it and say he wouldn't do it again, but of course would almost immediately do or say exactly the same thing he said he wouldn't do or say. There's that old thing of fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me...fool me repeatedly and I deserve any and every thing I get, because I'm now an active and willing participant. Well, I wanted to see if the other hammies, worshippers at the altar of the Evil Dr., would be able to handle the Master. The results are in, y'all...the BB All-Star hammies danced, all right, but so far they've danced to Will's tune.

I truly hope that Janelle isn't really buying everthing that Will's feeding her, that she's playing along to get along for now but if she's not, and she really did drink the Koolaid, then she did it to herself. I don't think it will scar her for life...if her Big Daddy really is Ross Verba, then I would think there's not much Will can do that would rival Verba's activities.

The question for me now is whether Will is capable of allowing Booger to prove to the world that he's his equal and letting him win, should the veto competition change the current nominations. And as distasteful as it is to admit, the ButtMonkey did compete and did win some competitions, so he did do his part for the team.

Geesh. I can't believe I've actually put this much thought to the matter!

I have a question regarding this week's Veto. What happens if Will wins (I know, he won't bother, but let's pretend) and he uses it to take Janey off the mac? There wouldn't be anyone left to go up next to Erika, right? Or does the Veto power change when they are down to so few players?

OK, that was three questions. Anyway, I've only watched seasons 3 and 6, and I can't recall if this came up in either of them.

If they guaranteed anyone any kind of finishing spot, they'd be violating FCC rules, get slapped with hefty fines, and create a scandal I'm sure they don't want.

I think Janelle is getting a touch of returning Karma (not Carmen Electra). After conning men in her job, now she's being conned.

On Playboy, I don't think they care about either one.

If Will wins veto, it keeps him safe. No one comes off, or if they do, he goes up by default. If Scrubika or Janelle wins veto and either uses it, Will automatically goes up. Booger, of course, can do whatever he wants, except acquire a real personality, which is beyond the power of Veto.

I think that's spot on, Snooky. Janelle may camera talk in her DR's that she's playing the boys, but last night during the Thing and fruit discussion with Will in the SR, she started off by saying "Will, the DR asks me if you're playing me!".

Janelle is not good at masking her emotions, and she sounded genuinely worried and surprised, like the thought had never occurred to her before the DR brought it up. It's mind-boggling to fathom that she possibly isn't questioning Will's loyalty on her own, but empirical evidence suggests that she really doesn't have a clue.

Yesterday during one of the many times Scrubika was muttering to herself, she was leaning on the refrigerator moaning about the Diamond Power of Veto (which first surfaced her season - 4 - and was never seen again).

I don't know if she was moaning about it because she knows it's a Diamond Veto this time, or if she was just moaning about it because she hopes it isn't returning - but anyway - Diamond Veto allowed the winner to name their replacement/successor on the block ... so anyway - if that happened, and Janey or Scrubika won Veto, they'd have to replace themselves with little Willy.

It doesn't seem like Diamond Veto would make any sense at this point, since there really are no options as to who goes up. The only way I can see that it would be useful now was if it gave the Veto holder the right to choose from anyone including the HoH. That would be cool. Anyway, my point is, Erika is a dumbass.

Yeah, I cosign that - and yeah, Diamond Power doesn't make sense at this point in the game - which is why it makes sense that Dumbassika was muttering about it.

There won't be a veto ceremony. Whoever wins veto (excluding HoH) gets to evict a hamster. If the HoH wins, he can change nominations if he wants (but why would he), and whoever he saves gets to evict.

If Will wins the veto -- they've (W&B) already discussed this -- the noms will stay the same.

OK, so there has to be a Veto comp tonite, right? For Sunday's show they will show HOH, noms and veto. Tuesday we get another eviction. Thursday we get another eviction. Then next Sunday we get to see the roundtable of hate and next Tuesday the finale. Is my schedule right?

ETA: So after this Sunday are the next 3 shows live?

Not sure -- is the show really going to be over on the 12th?

ETA: who and show are not the same words.
Beehoppy
I think, and I may be wrong, that tomorrow's show will just be reactions to live show craziness and noms, probably some sequester stuff, Tuesday will be Veto and Veto ceremony, Thursday next eviction and start of 3 part HOH-endurance and then Sunday will be showing the full final HOH comp and eviction of #3. Finale will have round table of hate and voting.
Galatea
Bee -- I checked the Broadcast Recap from Thursday and it say's a live eviction on Tuesday then the final HOH comp. I also checked TitanTV.com and it shows the last show is Tuesday the 12th.
Beehoppy
Hmm. Do we know for sure there is a show next Sunday? Because if they do eviction Tuesday, Final 3 HOH stuff on Thursday, I can't see what else they could show between that and the Finale on the 12th.

Weird.

According to Yahoo! TV, we have four episodes left: 9/3, 9/5, 9/7, and 9/12. No show next Sunday (9/10); instead, they are showing the documentary "9/11".
Beehoppy
Curse those fuckers-they've already shortened the season by two weeks now they have to take away one of the few epsiodes we have left?! Why must they take away everything that matters to me?!?!? WHY GOD WHY?

I mean, uh . . .

Well, that makes sense then.

This is from my broadcast recap:

QUOTE
Next Sunday, we have the HOH competition and nominations. Then on Tuesday, more live fun, with a special live eviction episode aired live, and the live start of a battle to become the last HOH, held live! I can hardly wait.

Though I wrote this, I seem to recall chenbot mentioning a live VETO competition, but she definitely said Tuesday also had the beginning of the final HOH battle, which means by default another eviction. (I remember thinking wow, Tuesday has everything Thursday usually does). I do wonder about the veto, though. I probably just imagined her mentioning it, because she didn't say that much, and I was pretty much transcribing. Could be it's part of Tuesday's show, too.

ETA: Forgive all the blathering above--I still had the episode on my DVR, and my recap was accurate, no mention of veto at all.

ETA2:

I think it'll be close to this:
9/3: Booger wins HOH, and nominates Janelle/Erika
9/5: They show the veto ceremony (either taped or live), vote, and then evict someone live, with the HOH comp beginning (endurance)
9/7: They show the endurance HOH and results, then the final 3 becomes final 2, with the new HOH choosing who to go to the finals with.
9/12: The jury returns for the big vote.

Thanks for checking on that Snooky -- much appreciated. *hug*

I hope this isn't against the rules. I used to frequent this board a lot but got frustrated with the rules there, but there are still a few people I like to visit with now and again...anyways found this apparently this is Janie's Mom

NOOOO Banana Bread, (because I will be in her ear first out of the house, where she will hear the whole truth and nothing but the truth)
Final 2 will give her the majority of the sequester votes. For how many times she has been played by these two, she needs to WIN!! I feel she deserves to win!
So please send your prayers up to the "real" Big Daddy in the sky!!

Yeah, I know it's crazy but:

Does anyone actually think that Erika would come through on her promise to take Janelle (and not Boogie) to the final two?

Janelle could win against Erika or Boogie, but I think she would have a better time against Erika.
Galatea
Well when it comes to the jury -- who would vote for Erika and Janey?

Howie -- Janey
Marci --
James --
Danielle -- Janey (if she truly meant what she said about not voting for Erika)
CG -- Janey
Will --
Boogie --

The remaining 4 -- I am not sure I honestly don't know who Will and Boogie would vote for because they're not playing that they'd both be in the jury house. So your guess is as good as mine.
Beehoppy
James will vote for Janelle. It will allow him to assuage his ego that he was eat by the best. Plus he has to respect at leat most of her Veto wins, if not the doll one. And he always saw Erika as furniture. I think Erika is the only one left who would nopt get his vote against Janey.

Will will likely vote for Janelle to-he thinks she's the best player, she will be more likely to share the banana bread than a pissed of/played Erika, and it will be Doog TV.

Boogie-is tough to call-whatever Master tells him to do.

Marci-even tougher-maybe Janelle because she would make the more aesthetically pleasing winner.

But James and Will would give her four.

I think there's no way Erika would take Janey to F2. I figure she'd handle it just like she did with Dani, and say "I can't beat you, I had to do what was best for me. Please vote for me anyway."

Really I don't think any of them would take Janey to F2. If Booger wins, he will take his Master. If Erika stays and wins, she will take Booger. If Will stays and wins, he will take Booger (for the banana bread, if for no other reason). Janey should just try to figure out who she has the better chance of beating for final HoH, and boot the other person. Since we know Erika will do well on the endurance part, she should get rid of Erika now while she has the chance.
merlynn
But Erika is Janie's best chance to win against in the end. She'll lose to Will - anyone would. She might lose to Mike. I think she should boot Will now but I don't think she'll do it. I also think that might cost her the game.
