Thanks, starryeyes, for posting that schedule. So in my town, Thursday's show will be on at 2:07 a.m. *sobs* If this is the wrong thread to post this in, please move it.
From reading the boards, some people will be getting the show at the regular time. <bites fist> If there is a way, or a special thread, for those people who feel generous and can tear their eyes away from watching a double eviction and post what is happening so that I can read about it before Friday, I would worship the ground you walk on forever.
Err, does this mean that I have to bribe the awesome and wonderful mods here to make this work?

I'm thinking a safe nom for her might be Erica and Booger. Will would vote for Booger to stay, George would vote for Erica to stay and Janie would have to break the tie, voting out Erica most likely.
I think if noms were Erika and Mike after Veto, Janie could get away with breaking a tie that would send Mike packing. Her problem with going after Mike is doing it in a way that ensures he goes OR he has no idea she was gunning for him if he stays.
So the Erika/Mike nom makes sense. If they even have time to question her during all those competitions, she can just say she wants to make sure Erika is the one to go. Then if she gets a chance to evict Mike at the end of the hour - do it. Will can't say much after he evicted Howie on her. Hell, he might even have to step up and win a competition for himself.
Yes it puts her at risk because she can't compete for HoH, but anyone who doesn't win that HoH can be nominated so Veto is extreamly important in that competition anyway.
The funny thing about this Thursday is that Mike and Will want to throw it to Janie and she might want to throw it herself so it should be interesting to see if BB just sets up a crapshoot so George can go ahead and win.
Doesn't look like I'm going to see it this Thursday and I don't plan on staying up til 2:30 am so I guess I'll check things out here to hopefully get the highlights.

I've been reading the live feed recaps and knew that Erika was going to nominate Danielle, however, after seeing the show last night, I am more in awe of Will than ever. Erika obviously felt horrible about putting Danielle up, but she did it anyway. And thought it was her idea!! Man, that Will has some kind of superpowers. Was it The Shadow who could do that, or some other superhero?
And while I'm here, I just have to say that I love this forum! Of course all the recappers are wonderful, but even here in the analysis forum, all the sniping and snarking are at the houseguests' expense, not other posters. And that's the way it should be. I love you guys!

I hope this is the right forum to ask this. What is the real name of "Big Daddy" (Janelle's boyfriend). I know I saw it somewhere on this board, but I can't find it now. Thanks y'all!
Janelle's Mr. Delicious is reportedly Ross Verba who was picked up by Detroit this year. He previously played for Green Bay and Cleveland. Sat out last year.

Any guesses as to whether CG would put up Boogie or Janelle with Will? He said he couldn't put up Janelle before, but Erika and Danielle (particularly) seem to have been subtly working him off of his "Can't nominate a popular person" stance.
Also, it isn't beyond Boogie to make "his big move" this week, thinking that he has Will and Erika to cover him should he put up Janey and CG. Even without HOH next week, he would probably be fine.
Seeing that the competitions are for immediate eviction, I think that W and B would change their minds and compete (since their strength is manipulation and they would have no time to change any winner's mind).
While I would like to see Janey win HOH, I am wondering what her odds are if she doesn't win. I think every other person in the house would put her up on Thursday if she did not win.

Aug 30 2006, 11:31 AM
I don't know what Janelle's chances really are, WickedTong. I don't think Will would put her up, but Booger would put up her and George, probably. I don't think George will nominate her. I have hope he'll go after Chill Town. Wouldn't it be ironic if George of all people got rid of Will!?!?
I'm really, really torn on whether to wait for the West Coast broadcast to watch it unfold, or read moment-by-moment recap postings and then tune in to the live feeds, as usual. There's never been a show like this one, so it's a tough call. Do I want to be spoiled? Do I want to be surprised? Why don't I live on the East Coast anymore? Why? WHY??

Aug 30 2006, 11:40 AM
Wikedtong, I'm in total agreement with you except that I don't think George would put up Janelle. His allegiance seems to be with her at this point. The only way Booger is going to go is if Janelle wins HOH and puts him and Erika up. Will will vote out E. CG will vote out Booger leaving Janelle to break the tie. If she TRULY wants to win, she will get Booger out of this game. Will will be forced to work only with her if she does that.
Thank you, Aurora!! I knew his name and couldn't think of it or find it anywhere.

Hamsters who stayed true to themselves: Janelle, Howie, Will
Hamsters who are shattered beyond all recognition: James, Danielle, Scrubika

Hamsters who were useless: Marcy (hah), Diane
Hamsters who hid in a vase: Alison

Not discussing Alison in a serious convo - evah. But do you truly believe James was shattered? If ever there was a man more suited to hosting his own game show (on a cable channel because network audiences are in no way prepared for that level of mean) it's James. if he works it right and has a decent agaent and keeps far away from CT, James has a great future ahead of him.
There's a town in S. Central Florida nalled Nakomis, BTW. Kinda interesting trivia. She needs to stay away from TV and stick to actual art. Nakomis is by far my favorite hands down.
I want to see footage of Howie driving Marcellas insane in sequester.
And to get completely off subject - is
Hurricane John about to douche the hell out of them? Are they in Cabo San Lucas on the Baja or are they in California? I'm guessing the Baja which puts them in peril. Cat 4??? I want to watch.

He had quite the temper - true. Chen called him on just a fraction of the mean things he said. Frankly, I prefer the overtly mean to the sneaky cruel like Will. I can see why James would not appeal to a lot of people, but he was entertaining as all hell to me.

Despite his ability to throw temper tantrums, I found James entertaining a lot of the time. I also don't think he's going to have problems moving on with his life. James might look back on his experience in the house and think "if only I had done....." but I don't think he'll be Marci level bitter about it.
I don't think James will be any worse off once the game is done. Dani seems like she is going to need the help of AA and I think Erika is going to be humiliated once she gets a good idea of what Mike thinks about her. Those are the two I think are really headed for post-game breakdowns.

Yep. We agree. And of all of them I feel bad for those two. I'm doubtful Erika can take another relationship (even if it was fake she
seems to consider Boogie a friend) blow. She may stop eating completely. Interesting, isn't it? She and Dani are completely weird about food and alcohol and are potentially the most fragile.

48hr VT 01/1800z 22.8n 109.5w 120 kt
72hr VT 02/1800z 24.0n 112.5w 105 kt
And the coordinates for Cabo San Lucas are 22.88° N 109.90° W so...I would NOT want to be there, especially with a Cat 4 storm with possibilities for strengthening...but I would want to watch the Marcy-James-Howie drama in evacuating...

What is wrong with these people? I was catching up on the LF recaps and these people are whiny as hell (except Will & Janelle.) I mean, Janelle had one bad night after Howie was evicted and went out so badly, but she's pretty much kept her cool throughout. And I think that was a cumulation of Kaysar, Marcellas & Howie being voted out in succession. But Boogie & Danielle bitching about everything must be a sign they're mentally breaking down. You'd think they know what's happening & what's going on. Granted, Boogie was kicked out IN WEEK 4 (does that make you an All Star?) but Danielle made it to final 2. She's knows what time it is!! I don't think I could do it but they knew what to expect. Whiny bitches!!!

I would swap in Marci for James on the Shattered Beyond All Recognition List.
BB3 Marci to me was fun and snarky. He invented the mid afternoon water frolics, was hilarious with Boo and a hoot with Amy up until the end. That Marci earned himself a place as the company man for BB with a not too shabby C list entertainment career.
But BB7 Marci? He was pissy and bitter and mean. He sulked and whined and bitched He was like a giant black cloud hanging over the house and he carried that cloud straight into sequester.
Not only will he not get any new gigs anytime soon, I doubt we'll see him back on Housecalls.
Y'all know I'm a James fan. He was quick and funny (for a hamster), and even showed a glimmer of an ability to laugh at himself, what can I say? Take him out of the BB pressure cooker and I think he'll be just fine.

There is one overriding reason to spoil yourself for the outcome on Thursdays even if you live on the West Coast ( like I do): If there is an extended endurance HoH competition you will miss the best and most exciting parts of it if you wait to watch the West Coast broadcast. By the time you scurry to the feeds to see the outcome, it might be over and you will have missed the whining and cajoling and deal-making.
I admit, YouTube has changed the face of feed watching, but it's always best to be there when it happens.
BTW, I think it's likely that this upcoming double eviction night will lead into an endurance competition. That way they can show Dani's eviction, the second eviction, and lead into the endurance challenge to pump up the watching numbers for Sunday's broadcast.

I am all for this, and I am no James fan. My god, they have Bunky in there and he is...let's say George could challenge him for wit and banter. He would be examining the game, rather than the personalities in the way that Marcellas does. And frankly, I can't bear to see Marcellus on any screen ever again.
I watched the James' Housecalls this evening as the hammies were boring; he seemed really to take it as a game and to love the competition. He was glad to get out by "better players". I have a new , um, lack of disdain? for him. He also looks really buff for some reason. He will vote for the best player, not even ruling out Janelle, depending who she is sitting next to.

I posted earlier, UPN is supposed to be showing it at the regular time.

I think this may be a network/affiliate thing. I just checked my DVD (NYC- Time Warner) and my UPN is not scheduled to play/record BB, CBS is and the football game is on NBC.
Since it seems like there is a lot of confusion (at least on my part), I would like to ask the mods to set up a separate thread for Thursday show. I would hate to go the this thread and see a question and answer it only to spoil someone else.
I know I have difficulty getting into chat (i.e, I can't), so that may not be the answer for all of us, and even if it is, chat might be crowded.

He (James) will vote for the best player, not even ruling out Janelle, depending who she is sitting next to.
And this is why Janie needs to get Will out of the house. She'd get James's vote against Erika, George, or Mike. His vote could end up being important to her win. Besides, I think if she took Will out, he'd also be a vote for her if she was up against Erika or George.

Are you serious? He went off whining and lisping about a girl who stole his dolly. He is smarmy and unlikeable, in my opinion, he doesn't have a shot in hell of being a full time television personality
Often those full-time television personalities really ARE smarmy and unlikeable...but that's in real life; they somehow transcend their personae and show their other faces to all of us and the press. He just needs to keep his fake face on camera and then be smarmy and unlikeable to his camera people, coworkers, assistants, etc.

And the coordinates for Cabo San Lucas are 22.88° N 109.90° W so...I would NOT want to be there, especially with a Cat 4 storm with possibilities for strengthening...but I would want to watch the Marcy-James-Howie drama in evacuating...
I heard an interview yesterday on NPR. A woman from Ireland was visiting Cabo. She said they had winds "like we've never seen in Ireland." They weren't warned of any dangerous weather, but she and her party packed up and moved on to Mexico City because they were uneasy. I assume it was a real-time interview.

Y'all know I'm a James fan. He was quick and funny (for a hamster), and even showed a glimmer of an ability to laugh at himself, what can I say? Take him out of the BB pressure cooker and I think he'll be just fine.
I seem to be on a roll; rarely post and now I'm hogging the screen! Anyway, James might be "just fine" out of the house, but where's his success? What education does he have? What job skills and experience? What's he doing with his life...pursuing over-the-hill-fame-whoredom? While he's out of the pressure cooker, he needs to seek a life coach...oh, on television, of course. New cable series, "James Finds Himself--and a Job!"
