Recap August 22nd, 2006:
Previously on BB7, George nominated James and Erica, but because God hates me, James won POV and Howie had to go up instead. Then Howie went out…evidently because he wanted to watch the Super Bowl. Then Mike Boogie won HOH, I guess it’s because he wanted to watch the Super Bowl.
My only day without a Chenbot, how will I cope.
Anyway, James tells us that he was disappointed to see Howie go out that way because Howie is a trustworthy person and he trusted Chilltown and that was why he left. Janelle tells us that people that she thought were her friends are really her enemies. We get to see Boogie throw that thing that he threw. I’m still not sure what it was but man is that orange hat ugly. Here’s what I don’t understand. Doesn’t he have friends that are close enough to him that say, “Dude, that is an ugly hat, you probably should stop wearing it.”
Day 51
Boogie tells us how Big Brother is a game where people lie. He tells Erica how he is a sore loser and Erica says, “Howie is a sore loser?” and Boogie says and he bailed out and Erica says, “Andy bailed out?” And Boogie says, “over Macho Grande” And Erica says “no, I don’t think I’ll ever be over Macho Grande.” Wait, I veered into Airplane II, sorry about that. Anyway, Will tells us, “Howie thought he was safe, you know why he thought that, because I told him he was safe.” He says, “If anyone tells you they can play the Big Brother game without lying, they are lying.” Why is it when people I like lie, it’s okay, but when asses like Boogie lie, I get upset? I guess I’m a hypocrite. Oh well.
George sits at the kitchen table amazed that he’s the one who took out Howie. Hamsters are laughing as they realize that the student of the Jedi alliance took out the master. I love that when I type Jedi, Word’s spell check wants me to capitalize it, but when I type God with a small G, it’s okay. My computer is an atheist.
Erica tells Danielle how that was typical Howie, going out like a buffoon. I’m not sure where she gets that. Danielle says how he went out so ugly, but that’s not necessarily true. You know who went out ugly…Allison, that bitch eats, sleeps and drinks ugly. They share a laugh on how Erica is still there. Erica tells us that it’s good Howie’s gone cause he’s not in her alliance and he was constantly in her face. Again, something I don’t realize, but keep trying to convince yourself that Mike Boogie is a better person, whatever makes you sleep better at night. Erica walks over to the wall of words and points out “Bringing forth anger and feelings of disgust.” Come on, a little overdramatic aren’t we?
James and Janelle share a hug in another room. Janelle is surprised how they lied to them and James says that that’s what Chilltown does. Janelle says how she hates them. She tells us how she has no more room for error, she trusts no one and that includes James. James tells us that shares some of the responsibility that has Howie and Janelle hurt in their own way. Of course, he doesn’t say that he’s at all sorry for it, just responsible. I wonder what will happen with him after this game is over. I wonder if Janelle, Kayser and Howie will still accept him as a friend. He’s now turned on them two times and he’s said some pretty bad stuff about Janelle.
We get to see a flashback of Boogie winning HOH. He tells us in the diary room, “Yo, Big Brother, I hope that HOH room is nice and chilly because chill town is in the building.” Ugh, what a tool. I keep expecting him to break out with, “Alright stop, collaborate and listen, Boogie’s back with my brand new invention. Something grabs a hold of me nightly, flow like a harpoon daily and nightly. If there was a problem, yo I’ll solve it. Check out the hook while DJ revolves it.”
** jerrye25 holds his head in shame as he didn’t have to look up the words to Ice Ice Baby, he new them off the top of his head **
Danielle tells us how she excited she is that he won HOH. Will tells us how HOH is the worst thing that can happen to you. He’s not happy that they won HOH because now they are the biggest most obvious target in the house. By the way, the coup d’etat power is officially gone since he didn’t use it. Janelle tells us how she’s taking punch after punch since she’s the only one left in the house from the original alliance.
It’s time for the Janelle crying show. First, she’s crying as James tries to comfort her. He wants to know the real reason that she’s crying. She thinks it’s all her fault. But James says it’s not, she only gets one vote. Next, she’s seen out on the patio with her head in her hands. It’s George’s turn to comfort her. He tells her how he respects her game, he says she beautiful, intelligent, glowing personality, great smile and deep down, she cares for people. He says she has everything. Next, it’s back on a bed still crying and it’s dumb Mike Boogie’s turn. He says how he thought the world of Howie and he’s disappointed with how he (get it, how he…Howie) acted. Janelle interrupts him (Thank God) and says she feels the entire house is against her. He tells her not to feel that way (even if it’s true). Will’s turn now. He asks her “Who’s the princess of Big Brother.” After prodding a little, she answers, “me?” He says yep and wants her to tell him why. He finally says it’s because she’s beautiful and smart and fun and sexy. She says she doesn’t feel very cute right now and Will agrees, “Right now, you’re kind of a mess.” He says with a laugh. We get Janelle is diary room telling us how the crying is part of a strategy. She wants to appear weak and like she doesn’t have any fight left in her to try to take the heat off of her.
She finally takes Will aside and wants to know why he didn’t tell her they were getting rid of Howie. He tells her because he didn’t want her to tell Howie. He didn’t want her to get mad. She claims she wouldn’t have. Will tries to smooth things over by apologizing to her. He said from now on, all lines of communication are open with him and he hopes she’ll someday forgive him. He tells us that he did feel bad, all of her friends had been evicted and he want to console her. He said she’s a great competitor and a warrior. He wants to take her from this dark spot she’s in and rebuild her faster, stronger and more loyal so she can attack James. He tells her that he and Boogie are together and that James is with Danielle and Erica. He tells her that James is the strongest of that alliance and that she can join chilltown if she wants.
My favorite part of the episode. Stupid Mike Boogie comes out of HOH and yells, “Alright, who wants to see my HOH room?” Nothing. Nothing from no one and BB even adds that record scratching to a halt thing. Boogie says, “Nobody…cool.” Eventually Will talks Janelle and James into seeing it. The rest of the house is there also. We get a glimpse of BB2 and the bikini photo of Boogie.
Everyone leaves (in record time, probably) and Will stays back. Boogie runs his plan across Will. He wants to nominate Janelle and James. Will says if one of them wins POV, send the other home. Will tells us that there’s a crack in the Legion of Doom and it started from the inside and he’s responsible for that crack. He says he doesn’t trust James. He knows James is in an alliance with everyone else in the house. Boogie says that they should Janelle that everyone wants her out, including James and then they help her win POV. He says that no one in their right mind would think that they are trying to help her so in case she doesn’t win, they just evict her and that’s it. Will agrees.
Can someone please tell me how Megan Mullaly just won best supporting actress in a comedy? Is this one of those, give them the emmy cause the show is over type thing? What a bunch of crap. Cheryl Hines may be annoying on Celebrity Poker Show but she’s funny on Curb. Sorry, I’m also watching the emmys while I type this.
Anyway, Boogie tells us that his nominations reflect what he thinks is the best way to set them up to come down the home stretch. Just then James comes in. Boogie tells him that he plans up putting up him and Janelle. Will says he’s safe because they have the numbers and James ignores the people who have been playing the game the hardest and lying the most in the house.
Commercials – nothing excited happens.
George and Janelle in giant orange room talking. George continues his cheer Janelle up by asking how she’s doing. She says she’s doing fine but she’s pretty sure she’s being nominated. She continues her own little pity party by saying that she’s lost her alliance one by one and one of them is even her own fault. She talks about losing Marcellus how she trusted everyone and they told her they would vote own Erica. George asks her if everyone promised her that? She says yep, every one of them. George is surprised by this. George proposes an alliance with her. She agrees, although it seemed reluctant. George tells us that he’s not sure who he’s aligned with. He’s not sure what his relationship with Erica is but he’s happy that he can talk with Janelle. Janelle tells us that she’s pretty happy she can talk to George and trust him. She says she’s not that good at playing by herself so it’s nice she has someone to talk to. They hug.
There’s way too much hugging in this game. After every talk, every nomination, every POV and after every eviction. It’s really amazing what people will do and say so people won’t dislike them for fearing of being evicted. Will is really the only who doesn’t do it. It’s like he’s really not afraid to be evicted. It’s like this one episode of the A-Team, Children of Jamestown I think it was called, where the boys and Amy get captured. And she’s scared but they tell her that she has to accept death in order to get by. They already have and that’s why they can go on these dangerous missions every week or so.
Will joins Janelle outside while she smokes (so disappointing). She tells him that if she goes, James and Danielle will go after Chilltown. Will knows and tells her that’s why they need her. She offers up help if they need it even if they did backstab her. Will says, “I didn’t backstab you, I stabbed you in the front.” Janelle says, “Very funny” as will laughs, then she says, “Not funny.” as Will apologizes. She runs through the list of things she did for him and says he still lied to her by voting out Marcellus. He agrees to everyone. She wants to know what he’s gonna do in return. He says Yes, they are gonna get rid of James.
Leslie Jordan just won and Emmy for best guest appearance in a comedy. He’s one of those Hey, it’s that guy guys. I’ve seen him all over the place, but didn’t know his name. He’s funny. Check him out on IMDB, you’ll remember him after that.
Oh yeah, two emmy chances for Arrested Development and they lost them both. I don’t get it, easily the funniest show in a while and no one watched it. Why is that?
Anyway, back to Will. He spills the beans about Janelle getting nominated but not going home. Will says he owes her. He back in diary room telling us how he’s building the perfect monster, a fembot named Janelle. It would have been funnier if he said Chenbot
Janelle now to HOH with Boogie. Will comes in with her. Boogie reveals he will nominated Janelle and James, give a big speech about S6. He says they will help her to win veto.
Nomination time. Danielle tells us that she is hoping that Boogie sticks with Legion of Doom and puts up Janelle. James tells us that him and Janelle have accepted the fact that they will nominated. He recaps the plan for us. Hey assface, I’m the recapper here. He says he doesn’t believe Janelle when she says the fight is gone. Janelle says she’s trying to make people think the fight is gone but it’s not true. Boogie tells us that these nominations are good for chilltown and that they are more than just a one week thing. They are to set them up for the rest of the game. Before the keys get pulled, Boogie tells everyone that the decision was easy. Danielle’s key is first, followed by George, next is Erica and last is Will’s. James and Janelle are up. Boogie says he said from Day 1, he’s going after season 6 and since there are two left, his decision was easy. James tells us that he feels safe. He tells us that he’s trusting Danielle, Boogie and Will each week and that’s part of being of team. Part of being a team?????? You were part of team at the beginning this year and last year and look what happened. You have no clue what it’s like to be a part of a team. Janelle says she’s not completely disappointed about being nominated because she feels safe. She says she has to trust chilltown right now.
Whoa, Dick Clark just got a standing ovation at the Emmys. I can’t listen to him speak. It’s so cringe worthy and disappointing. It’s like when I watched Michael J Fox on Inside the Actor’s Studio. He’s one of my favorites all-time and during the interview he did all that shaking. It was tough to watch. Hey at least they just introduced Barry Manilow to sing. I’ve always been a Manilow fan.
Commercials – McDonalds snack wrap commercial. I’ve been living off those things for the last week or so. They’re tasty.
Janelle and James in a spidery room talking about nominations. She asks him if he’s okay. He said he is, he knew it was coming. She lays (or is it lies) down in the bed next to him and says how it sucks. Then she immediately gets up and walks away. She puts on her tiara and says she should have worn it at the nomination ceremony. James tells her that she seems like she’s in a better mood. She says she’s still depressed. She says she can’t talk about it or she’ll start crying again. She says she feels like she wants to go home. James tells us that he thinks Janelle is starting to realize she’s been trusting the wrong people and it’s because of her that Howie and Marcellus are gone. Listen, you can say what you want when you’re talking to each other, but when you’re in the diary room, tell the truth, quit being an ass. This is what James should have said. Maybe she’s starting to realize that most everyone here is going after her and her only remaining alliance member has been lying to her for about 5 weeks.
Whoa, Barry Manilow just won an Emmy for his show, Barry Manilow music and passion. Hey did you know that music and passion were always the passion at the Copa? Oh and by the way, Evangeline Lilly is most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen on television. (I had to follow the Manilow thing with the Lilly thing to reinforce to you and myself that I’m not gay)
Janelle says that there is nothing that makes her want to stay. James says not even a million dollars? Janelle thinks about it and says no.
Time for veto players to be picked. Boogie gets houseguest choice and picks Will. Janelle picks Danielle. Janelle wasn’t happy about grabbing Danielle’s ball. She felt if she won, she would save James. James picked next, he picked Erica.
Janelle is back upstairs in HOH to make sure everything is still planned. Boogie says it’s basically 3 on 3 for veto. They said they will do what they can to help her win. Will tells us that Janelle has to win because she’s a bigger target than chilltown. He should have channeled Val Kilmer and said, “It’s a moral imperative.” Hey trivia buffs, what movie is that from? Janelle tells us that’s she very suspicious of them. She says that if she’s still here, she will be going after them.
Commercials – Nothing exciting
Veto competition starts. It’s another odd little setup. It’s an island forest type thing that looks like something out of Lost. It goes like this. Six people kneel in front of giant head statue. It’s mouth opens up. The giant head statue asks them a question and they have to search the island for little voodoo dolls that have the initial of a former hamster on it. They have to root around in the grass, trees and bushes that BB setup. But there’s musical chairs type twist thrown into it. There are six people but only five places to kneel so whoever is the last person to find the voodoo doll is eliminated. Whoever is standing at the end wins. As George explaining it, Janelle turns and gives a little wink to Boogie.
First Question from Deep Voiced Big Head Statue – “Bring me the person that Kayser nominated along with Diane.” They run around looking for the N doll for Nakomis. James comes back first, next is Janelle. Will tells us that as soon as the game began he realized it was time to throw another competition. During the game he stops and asks Boogie who he’s looking for. He says that he doesn’t want people to know he’s throwing it, he just wants people to think he’s terrible at competitions. Boogie is next to kneel. Will is next. Will is dressed like one of those old guys who comes to play basketball with the young kids. He has a green shirt over what appears to be a black long sleeve shirt along with black shorts and his white socks are pulled up to his knees. Erica and Danielle are still looking. Finally Erica finds one and comes back over to kneel. One by one DVBHS asks who they brought back. When the five get it right, Danielle is out and they throw their dolls in the fiery red mouth of DVBHS.
Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are doing something on the Emmys, not sure what. I just know that I love Colbert. He is hilarious. Colbert is now complaining that he lost to Manilow. Turns out they are doing Emmy for best Reality show. Why is BB never nominated. Amazing Race wins again, fourth in a row.
Second question – When Janelle used the veto to save herself, who took her place on the chopping block. Boogie tells us that it was Kayser. Janelle is first back to kneel, Erica is next immediately followed by James. Will tells us that with just him and Boogie still looking, he didn’t care who found it. Boogie is first, Will is out.
Third question – Bring me the houseguest who was evicted by a 9-0 vote. Boogie, obviously helping Janelle here, tells Erica that it was Jase. But then Boogie finds one while he’s standing near Janelle, he puts it back on the ground face up so Janelle will easily find it. Erica is first back, then Janelle, then James. Boogie is out. Now Janelle is by herself against James and Erica.
Fourth question - From the veto competition hosted by BB2 Nicole, bring me the first all star eliminated. Immediately Janelle and James run to the same place. I’ve put the Tivo on slow motion for this one. Janelle seems to reach down on the ground first and James runs into her and tackles her to the ground. It appears they are reaching for the same one. She seems to fall backwards into his lap and accidentally kicks him in the hand (hee hee). They seem to go diving for another one. It’s like they both missed the one they wanted, fought over the wrong one, then went after another one. James jumped into her again going for it but she got away from him. Janelle tells us that she fell to the ground with James and they were both yanking on it (gross). She calls him a jerk as she gets up. According to her, they both reached for different ones that happened to be side by side. After they got up, they both looked at the one they had and she realized she had the right one and he had the wrong one. James says to her, “Janelle you shouldn’t have kicked me, I owe you one for that.” Are you listening Sarah? James tells us how she took the doll from him and physically assaulted him. He holds his hand or finger out and says he is harmed. It’s a little harmed, but it’s a harm. She looks back at him, flips him the bird and says, “Look, I just broke a nail.” Erica finds one and comes running back. James is out and like normal, he’s out gracefully. He tells anyone that will listen, “She took it right out of my hand…and kicked me.” He continues, “I had the right doll, she had the wrong doll, we both grabbed the wrong one, I grabbed the right one and she pulled the right one out of my hand.” Long pause. “I’m not gonna hit her just cause she was jumping on me.” The fact that he actually has to say out loud, “I’m not gonna hit her.” makes me wonder about his temper. Erica and Janelle wish each other (fake) good luck and shake hands.
Erica tells us that she really really needs to win this veto competition because she wants the nominations to stay intact because Janelle needs to go home.
Final Question – Bring me the houseguest evicted by a 7-1 vote. They take off and start looking. Janelle finds the doll back and wins the competition.
George is happy, he puts the veto around her neck. James in the diary room says, “This bitch took the doll out of my hand. Intentionally removing the doll from my hand is described as assault in the outside world.” What the hell could you possibly be talking about? More hugs all around for Janelle until she gets to James. As she’s attempting her hug, she says, “Don’t be mad at me.” He puts his hand up to stop her and says, “No Janelle, that’s poor sportsmanship.” Another one he got wrong. Wouldn’t poor sportsmanship be to not be a poor sport when you lose? I mean it’s right there in the words Poor and Sport. Janelle tells us that she can’t believe that just happened. He’s mad and they fought over a freaking doll.
Commercials – Nothing exciting. Supernova is next. I guess because I’m such a big INXS fan, I liked the first one. But I watched exactly one episode of this one. Tommy Lee makes James look like a rocket scientist.
We’re back. Veto comp is over and the hammies are filtering back into the house. James goes walking in first and just walks away from everyone. What a baby. Will asks Janelle what happened out there. As Janelle explains it, Big Brother gives a slow motion replay from a different camera angle. They even annotate to which doll is which. It actually proved that Janelle was correct the whole time. James takes Danielle into the spidery room and explains it to her. He tells Danielle that she grabbed the H and he grabbed the M then she took it from him. BB again gives the top camera angle and the annotations to show that he was wrong. He claims to have grabbed the H, but looking at the replay, he never had it, Janelle never took it from him, she had it the whole time. Back to Janelle, Erica and Will in the kitchen. Will says she kicked but Janelle doesn’t think so. So BB gives us slow motion replay that shows she did kick him right in the hand. He should probably have her arrested for assault and battery of an asshole.
In the diary room, Will says, “It’s James contention that he and Janelle came to a doll at the exact same time and Janelle kicked him and bit him and punched him in the face and pulled one of his eyes out then she went and got some pliers and yanked out one of his wisdom teeth. The way I saw it, she just whooped his ass.”
Up in HOH, Will comes in and him and Boogie proceed to dance around and are really happy that Janelle won cause now they can get rid of James. Will, back in diary, tell us that “James thinks the show is fixed in Janelle’s favor. Well it is, I’m the one fixing it.” Up in HOH, they are still celebrating, talking about sending James home. Will tells Boogie if they set it up right, they can get Danielle going after Janelle and Janelle going after Erica and Danielle. But if it goes wrong, Erica and Danielle will win HOH and put them up. Erica comes to the door and they have to act pissed. Boogie goes into the bathroom. She came in and Will tells him how pissed Boogie is. Erica apologizes to him and he says, “I’m just gonna go work out, I just, I…if you guys wanna talk, we’ll have time.” And he leaves the room. I remember seeing him do a cameo on Yes, Dear. His acting was terrible then to. “I’m beside myself.” he says as he leaves the room. He tells us that he’s very satisfied with his acting performance. Erica asks Will what he’s gonna do. Will says it has to be George, he’s certainly not gonna put you or Danielle up. Will tells Erica that it would be a good idea if she pretended to be scared. Erica puts up some scenarios but Will says, “What do you think about putting up George, but still sending home James.” Erica loves that idea and says, “James gotta go.”
Time for veto ceremony. Janelle tells us that she’s worried that if she vetoes herself, Boogie will probably put up George and she doesn’t want that. James tells us that if Janelle goes off, then Erica or George goes up and that’s not so good for him. Janelle tries to fake everyone out by saying, “I’ve decided not………..to remain on the chopping block.” Boogie gets up to make a replacement. He puts up “the worst dressed man in the history of television.” So I guess he put himself up, wow, a surprise. Wait, I guess he was talking about George. George goes over and takes his seat.
James tells us that he still feels safe with Boogie head of household. Boogie says, “With James, much like Howie, there might a freight train heading in his direction.” Yeah, a lipless freight train. Okay, that’s the last lips joke I make in this recap. George tells us that Boogie had no choice to put him up. George says always expect to go up and go home so you’re not surprised when you do.
Who will go home? Who will win HOH? Who are you? Who Who, Who Who? I really wanna know.
Wait, I just flipped over and saw the Office won something. Probably best comedy. I love that show. I have this little TV crush on Jenna Fischer (for fun I’ve attached a link to her character's myspace page) and Rainn Wilson is freaking hilarious. 24 wins for best drama. I’ve only ever watched one episode of that show. I don’t get the appeal. Finally one last commercials update. I know it’s on NBC, but the Emmys just ended and they’re showing a commercial for that Heroes show. It’s neat to see Jess on a show again. I liked him on GG.
