I don't get how they know the fly is a clue. Don't flies naturally gravitate to porta-a-potties? Did BB tell them "Go look in the poop house"? And are they sure the fly is what they were meant to see?? It makes no SENSE to me! Maybe the toilet paper was the clue. Or the hole? I mean, what exactly did BB tell them? Anyone know?

How did a ''fly'' get to be a clue? Was it a large stuffed fly like you'd win at a carneval? Or just a random housefly buzzing around the portapotty?

From bostonrox in the wrong thread.
Good morning all. This is my first post and is likely being placed in the wrong thread but what the heck. My Coup guess "You have been eliminated from the Big Brother House". You = Ewe, Eliminated = Buzzer. It makes sense to me.
bostonrox, I like this a lot! I read it and immediately thought that perhaps the fly wasn't the clue at all, but the fly was there to point to the porta-potty in the backyard... Isn't the fly inside of it? There's your "elimination" reference, and it makes a hell of a lot more sense to me than Dani's DNA guess. The fly strikes me as a red herring for some reason.
I thought it was really odd that they'd have a porta-potty out there for such a short lockdown. Maybe? Maybe not? I'm digging the riddle, regardless. It's a hell of a lot more engaging than anything these hammies are going to offer up anytime soon, I'm certain.
This original post by bostonrox is getting some mileage.Rock on.

Hi, ManeAndTail! Great minds... Nothing "flies" over our heads!
On the CBS prom poll, I originally put the obvious people with the obvious answers (Marcy annoying, Will intelligent). Wouldn't it be funnier to flip it and put opposite answers? I think these categories might be in an upcoming competition, and I'd LOVE to see it screw with their heads. How would James react if he were labeled "most gullible" by America? Or Howie "most intelligent"? Or Booger "most good-looking"? (Oh, ew, he'd probably believe it, too!!). Not that there's any way for us to do it (because there are too many combinations to make a real statement), but it'd be hilarious to see them obsessing over a category they don't think they fit. Especially James, and you know he would (obsess, I mean).

Like a 'fly' on my wall Snooky.. you know what I'm thinking.. *wink*
Question two..what is this buzzer I heard briefly mentioned on the live feeds? Was that an actual clue? Would that make the 'fly' the 3rd clue?
Question Three..does anyone know if they are really going to announce the promcourt most likely to's? Wouldnt that tip Janie off (or not given her gameplay this year) if James wins most likely to die alone.. or wasn't there also one about trust? Not that I would mind them getting a good ole dose of yes America still loves the S6ers and hates you guys.. but some of them seem a wee bit 'helpful' to those who trust blindly in the house.
Oh yea, it was Janie being the most gullable one.. hopefully, she 'gets it'.. but alas it will peobably just induce more bemoaning from the rootbeerfloats.

Ok, I think I've figured out the clues.
They refer to the houseguests themselves.
As in...
Howie, you would fuck a sheep.
Marcellas, ewe need to get over yourself.
Booger, you resemble shit so much, you attract flies.
Scrubika, if you don't eat something, you're going to look Ethiopian, with the flies on your face.
Will, you are the fly to Booger's shit.
Janelle, you are following Will like a lamb to the slaughter.
Danielle, ewe need to shut the fuck up.
James, ewe think your shit doesn't stink.
Kitchen George, you are as intellectually stimulating as a fly or a sheep.

Someone said in the last discussion thread that perhaps they are giving clues backwards and I think this makes sense too.
Also, so was it a real fly that they think was a clue? Or was it a rubber fly, that would probably be a clue?
If so, I agree that:
Big Brother is watching ewe (you).
is a good guess because it is the shows theme and it is a fairly common statement (especially now).
The only problem is that it seems too easy. But, then again remember how the hammies had to be practically spoon fed to get the combo. to the gym last year?
It may need to be easy.

BTW...my choice for the phrase is "You (ewe) have been voted OUT of the big brother HOUSE"
The out and house coming from another name for the porta potty.....those as old as I am might remember their grandparents having outhouses for relieving purposes. The fly wasn't a clue but leading to a clue.....a clue to a clue.
That sounds plausible. I like it. I think that's a good point about the fly not being a clue but leading to a clue.
Which made me think of "You (ewe) are the new head of household." Other people already mentioned "You are the new head of household" as the phrase as one commonly used, and I was thinking about it more. Port-a-potty could be an outhouse but also maybe referring to a "head." The words "coup d'etat" weren't mentioned to the hamsters. Isn't that throwing over whoever is currently in power and taking over? Meaning a new head of household.
Just my thoughts.

Some people have guessed "You are the new head of household." Supposedly, the 'ewe' had a basket and it's been thought this may have symbolized an HoH basket. I didn't see one, but I will re-watch. Still, I think that the basket thing may be a stretch.

The winner of the coup will be informed on Thursday, I believe. All the clues will have to be delivered by then. They can use the coup power for the next three weeks.
Just my two cents: no way is "Do not assume" the correct answer. Dani was overthinking. I'm positive the sheep means "ewe" because of the ribbon.
Since the coup means that the coup winner can take over HOH, I'm thinking the phrase is, "You are the new Head of Household."

From reading the recaps from last night it seems like Erika submitted the same answer as Dani. You would think they would have asked the DR when the winner was going to be revealled because this doesn't seem very bright. I still don't think that answer is right.
It seems like James has also submitted an answer (unless he is lying). I read people talking about his answer being "Pull the wool over someone's eyes". I guess that's a good answer, but I don't think it's right either.
I wonder why they aren't waiting for more clues. I understand they want to be first, but waiting for the second clue doesn't seem like such a bad idea at this point.
Regarding the second clue: It seems the fly was not a clue now? Do you think BB would just tell them when they are giving them a second clue so there isn't any guessing on what's a clue and what isn't?
With those three out and Janie and Howie acting like the power is no big deal, I wonder if Will is going to be the one to figure this out. It would be amusing if George got it though.

I don't think the porta potty in and of itself is a clue. They went inside during outside lockdown and saw a fly decoration inside it, which is where the fly clue came from. They were first given the porta potty during the long lockdown last week when the beds were removed, just to shut them up because they always bitch about having to go to the bathroom while on outside lockdown.
If Erika gave the same answer as Dani in the DR, that makes absolutely no sense because the first one that's right gets it. Did she really do that?
I still think the wording of "a common phrase that applies to the BB house" is important. I don't believe it'll be a BB-specific phrase because of that. Unless BB's writers are all craptastic, the wording definitely points to a phrase common outside here in the real world. I'd like to compare it to the wording of the veto comp where they had to guess the common BB phrases spelled backward.

That is so evil yet brilliant, Haunted. The other hammies would go absolutely bat-shit crazy - particularly James who has the biggest hate for KG. Can you imagine all the talk that would generate in the house. Hammies would be speculating that George is playing them in the DR, that he has just been playing dumb, etc.
The only down-side is that I'm guessing the extended voting list is going to be part of an HOH or some other competition and if we could actually get a campaign together that would vote George for everything, BB would just chunk it and the Hammies would never actually know what we voted.

I was thinking that Dani's treatment of the Coup challenge may not be all that bad of a strategy.
Step 1: Make an educated guess.
Step 2: Convince everyone else that your guess is the right one.
Step 3: Convince others that they either need to use your guess so that, should you get knocked out of the game before the Coup is awarded, they can be rewarded (for your brilliance), or to just not bother.
Step 4: Wait for the answer.
If people do refrain from guessing, it keeps someone else from getting the power. It won't save her if her guess is wrong, but she won't be knocked out of the game due to someone else getting it.
On other issues...
I'm not so surprised that Will is trying to convince Janey to that James is a traitor. I actually thought MarSelfish would do it, because, if done correctly, it would put him way off Howie and Janey's radar and would put him in a better position with Dani if Janey and Howie took out James.
It does make sense for Will to want James out. James is playing as sneakily as CT. In a head-to-head battle in the final two, I don't know that either Boog or Will could beat him.

But hey, he's got me on the cholesterol. If you think about it, it is quite liberating. He feels free to judge and make nasty assessments without knowing us and I can do so freely with him as a result. I haven't freed myself up that way with Georgie, whom I would smack in the head with a mackeral in person after an hour.
Say what you like about Dani (as if anyone here doesn't) but she has so much confidence that she can run to the diary room after seeing a sheep and make a guess.
I was thinking that Janey can win against Marcy and James only if she makes it to the end (if Dani, Marcy, Erica and George stick with their guns and hold people accountable for lying). Any chance the jury could be America? This IS Allstars. Baby.

As much as I would like someone like George to win the Coup, it would be interesting if Janie or Howie won it. Would they be short-sighted and try to use it to get Dani out this week (assuming the Veto holder isn't immune) or save it for when they could use it to save themselves?

Edited because I just skimmed through most of the Will/James/Mike/Janie stuff. I love that Janie and James had words. I love that Will has her not trusting James but at the same time telling her they need him. It's a masterful way to preserve two strong alliances and stay at the center of them.
I'm also impressed with James. He has words with Janie, tells her to put up CT as pawns and then immediately goes and tells CT to go work her. He looks like he hates CT all the while working with them. Amazing.
I wonder if Will or James will ever try to expose the other or if there is honor among thieves and they'll just laugh about it at the end.
