I'm confused about one of the rules. I've heard that people can use the DOR and just leave whenever they want to, but they'd give up their stipend and such. But, I've also heard breach of contract. Which one, can someone splain to me? Thanks.

DOR is when they just want to leave. It's voluntary.

Breach of contract is if they are forced to leave, as in if they just decided on day to REFUSE to ever wear a mic again. It's basically a legal out to allow BB to boot a HG.

Now, WTF is with this easyoven bakeoff crap? Another BORING comp.

Has anyone here seen the Ted Nuggent reality show? Now Ted knows how to run some freakin comps.

One comp had the players running headlong towards a speeding truck. They could jump out of the way whenever they wanted, but the further they ran the more money the won. The first guy just never got out of the way. Bounced off the windsheild and was left quivering on the ground. Rushed to a hopsital and out of the game.

Another had them all doing a shot of tequila, one of which had ipicac (vomit inducing liquid) in it. When you puked, you were out. Brilliant.

He even had them tattoo 'PROPERTY OF TED NUGGENT' on their asses to get imunity. 2 took him up on the deal.

Plus they lived in a shack, were pretty much always on slop, had to do semi-hard labor (deer gutting, trash dump cleaning, etc), were allowed to get crazy drunk, and Ted bitched and yelled at them non-stop. It was GREAT!

BB should hire him as a competition consultant.

First - muchos gracias for the HL post. If Castro gets res'd I'm hacking the WoW site and reintroducing the plague.

2nd LOVED the Ted Nugent Comps. Those people clearly did not have agents. We should cross promote Miami Ink to BB and see if the Tattoo thing would fly. Have a text comp at a $1 per suggested Tattoo and draw a winner.

Regarding the food comp, are they all working together to win food for the whole house, or are they in two teams? I'm confused since it seems like they're working together, but some of them are in blue chef hats and some are in red.

Re: Prom Voting

I hope the majority of voters choose Janey as "most gullible," to send her a message.

Someone needs to tell her to stop spilling stuff to CT and James. This seems the only way to do it.

(I don't think it would send as strong a message to vote Howie most gullible. People already tell him he is.)

P.S. Did anyone read about the girl who hung herself because she couldn't watch BBUK? Very sad...

I did, and I also voted Booger as "most likely to die alone." And I REALLY hope he wins that one.
Alise
The whole prom thing is rather silly. As Janelle is most popular on the web, we all know she's going to win all the pretty shiny things.

I called Arnold Shapiro Productons(1-818-655-6869) this morning and talked to someone there about what's going on, and the perceptions they're allowing to infiltrate the show. The woman told me they can't even begin to keep up with the emails they've received.

Gawd, I sound as whiny as Marci, but this whole stupid thing just pisses me off royally.

Oh she might win some catagories, but I don't know if they will be all the good ones. I don't see her winning "most likely to go to heaven" or "most likely to win a noble peace prize." Heck, I can't even see her winning "most likely to succeed." How can anyone not vote for Will on that one?

On the other hand, I did vote for her for most gullible, biggest flirt, and most likely to max out her credit cards. The last one might not be true since she seems to make good money, but $100 on a bottle of shampoo? Girl does not have good spending habits.

As far as queen or king, I'm not sure it matters if Janie wins now that she has this HoH. The message said the winner would have an advantage in the next HoH contest, but if Janie can't compete - does it matter?

I too voted Booger most likely to die alone.

Here's to hoping I get my wish.

One thing that I didn't like was that they showed the video, on The Early Show, of Janey's "knife attack" stories. However, they neglected to show her admitting, later, that she made stuff up and completely exaggerated for dramatic effect.

Janey certainly isn't a saint, but CBS surely should present all the available info and let fans make their own judgements as to whether or not she was exaggerating the stories or, later, trying to cover up her drunken truths.

Also, CBS/BB neglected to show Erika & Boogie's SSA meetings, Janey's initial figuring out of James, Kaysar's eventual uncovering of the James/Dani plot, Erika's telling everyone she had their backs and so much more. I realize they only have so much time, but they could take out some of the filler like Chill Town's proud mommas. This is the first year that I have seen such a vast difference between the feeds and television portrayals.

I voted the same way. Plus the Smoking Gun shoplifting charge screams "poor money management." I hope Gullible sends her a message--that'd be interesting to see it play out. I voted Booger as Die Alone, George as "Go to Heaven," Dani as World Dictator (or whatever), Marcellus as Most Annoying, Will to Succeed, and Howie as Class Clown, Erika as Furniture and Nobel Peace Prize, and that's all I can remember.

The British tabloids are the most trashy in the world. BB is HUGE over there (the houseguests regularly make the FRONT PAGE of papers) and since it's a hot topic, they take any story and try and put BB into it.
Read this article from a more reputable site, and you will find that there is no mention of BB whatsoever. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england...ies/4780827.stm

I gave George class clown and worst dressed since that seems to be what he's going for.

I gave Howie go to heaven and Nobel Peace Prize. When he's not womanizing and Hurricane Howie, he really does seem like a good soul. Of course I would have given those to Kaysar if he was still there.

I think I also voted Booger die alone and Erika as furniture.

I think I voted James best looking (shut up!). Will isn't as good looking as he used to be, I never found Howie that attractive, and Janie is too fake for me to vote for her.

I voted Will life of the party, most likely to succeed, most intelligent, most likely to break hearts, and most likely to take over the world (looks like I voted for him a lot).

Besides most gullible, biggest flirt, and most likely to max out her credit cards, I believe I also gave Janie most stuck up. Sorry.

I gave Marci the biggest whiner and most likely to use a vodoo doll (I loved this one). I might have also given him most annoying - can't remember.

Not sure who I gave best dressed.

Prolonged flames right now in the house, post-Jun's comment:

Getting brutal, no respect for the judges (after Will's cut down of Nicole).

Am wondering if they are doing a penalty nom or such. I don't know anything of their history but found his response acrimonious and petulant. Does anyone have an idea if this stemmed from something other than general unpleasantness?

Our voting is remarkably similar, I think. Will as smartest, most likely to take over the world and most likely to succeed. Janelle as best looking, gullible, credit card deficient and best dressed. Boogie most likely to die alone. I didn't have a slot for Georgie at all. Howie as life of the party, worst dressed and peace prize winner (BUSTO aside). Marcy as stuck up and whiner. Erika as furniture.
Doom Song
My votes:
Class Clown - Will
Best Looking - Danielle (I can't help it, I think she's gorgeous.)
Most Likely to Take Over the World - James (because he's sold his soul to the Republican party)
Most Likely to Succeed - Will (he's done it in the game once; he's the most professional outside)
ML to go to Heaven - George
Most Intelligent - Will
Best Dressed - Marcellas (in and out of the bathrobe, actually.)
Life of the Party - Will
ML to Win a Nobel Peace Price - god, none of them. Maybe Kaysar, but he's not an option. I voted for George.
Biggest Flirt - Janelle
Most Annoying - Booger
ML to Max out Credit Cards - Erika (it's a "desperate vibe" thing)
ML to Die Alone - Howie
ML to Break Hearts - Will (He's already broken Kaysar's...)
ML to be Mistaken for Furniture - Erika (Not even because she "blends" into the background, but more because she actually looks like a rickety wicker chair. With two lumpy cushions.)
ML to use a voodoo doll - James
Worst Dressed - Booger (I will never forgive the leather basketball jersey.)
Most Gullible - Janelle
Most Stuck Up - Marcellas
Biggest Whiner - Marcellas

Will was way the hell over the line in his comment to Nicole. He drove her completely bat shit crazy in their season and the last two days with them in the house Nicole went into the worst crying jag in the history of crying Jags. They completely despise each other. She spent two days alternating between crying, banging on the walls, shuddering sobs in the bed and Will trying to talk her down from the ledge. But ... since he was the one that drove her crazy in the first place ... I am amazed BB would put the two of them in the same state together much less in the BB house again.

Would they ding Will for his comments? I doubt it. They probably got a lecture and are reshooting the scene off the Internet cameras to get it right.

It seems like bittercakes aren't only being served in the Big Brother house! But I just want to add my two cents to this HoH "controversy". I'll admit that I'm a HUGE Janelle fan and as much as I want her to win, I want it to be fair and square. I'd rather see her get evicted than have her win because it was "rigged" for her. That being said...

1) People are right when they say that BB falls under the catergory of "gameshow". And being that it is a gameshow they MUST follow strict FCC guidelines regarding such.

2) Don't believe for a minute that CBS just took Howie's, James', or even Booger's word that the buttons weren't working properly. I think it's a pretty fair assumption that after the HoH comp concluded, CBS had people out there testing the buttons to make sure the timing and lighting in all boothes were correct (and you can bet your ass that there's footage of this taking place though we aren't allowed to see it). Obviously they weren't working right, and since they weren't, then the competition's validity as a whole was compromised. And yes, even if it's just Howie's button that didn't work you can't just start from there, here's why:

3) The competition is supposed to tell us who got questions right, wrong, and who rang in last. But what it doesn't tell us is who rang in second to last (at least we the viewer don't know). Which means that for all we know Erica could've been last except that Howie's button didn't work, so she escapes. In other words, one faulty button affects the whole chain. So again, the competition as a whole is compromised.

4) Because of 2) and 3), you must have a redo with all the houseguests allowed to play.

There it is folks.

If Erika goes this week because of this mix-up, and Janelle would be a you-know-what to put her up, I just hope it blows up in her baby-doll face big time. I used to LOVE Janelle. Not anymore and I totally think this is so unfair. CO-HOH with Erika - would have been GREAT teevee and saved everybody's face.

I feel the same. I know technically it was the right thing to do, but I can't help feeling annoyed that Janey is HOH AGAIN. I'm certainly getting sick of her. If official Co-HOH doesn't satisfy, Janey could make a smart move and invite Erika to effectively be co-HOH with her this week, and together they could decide on noms. Like Chill Town. Unfortunately, Janie is not the most likely to win the Nobel Peace Prize, and she prefers to have "enemies" to battle against.

What I really hate is the demonization Janelle engages in to try to turn her opponents into the new Nerd Herd. Dani, Erika, and Marcellus are not Nerd Herders, they're all stars! It's such a petty, mean-spirited way to play. Also, not smart. Janey could take this opportunity to build a bridge and form some new allies, but instead she'd rather hide out in the HOH and bitch about how horrible the "Float Herd" is. Just because she came in without a solid obvious alliance, Dani is NOT a floater--never has been, never will be.

And, again, she's going after two women.

I completely agree. It's ironic that she is trying to play the other side off as the nerd herd. In reality, Janelle is the one acting petty, bitchy, and self entitled this year. It's her game and anyone who dares go up against the good people (her, Kaysar and Howie) must be evil! She wasn't like that last year. The immense popularity has totally gotten to her head. She acts more and more like Ivette and April as each day goes by. Sorry Janey doll, this year YOU are the nerd herd.

Boogie proposed to Krista on the season two live finale episode. This year, the whole thing was planned out way before they got in the house. The first time it was so stupid it was funny, this time around it's just stupid.

I'm actually totally fine with the HOH going from Erika to Janelle. I think they absolutely had to redo the comp (legally), the person who won it, won it--nothing to be done about that. And the fact is, if anyone besides Janelle or Howie get the coup d'etat, then Janelle's HOH will have been for nothing anyway. Her noms will change, *she* could go up (do we know the rules on this yet?), and that would be rad, if only for the change-up. After all, what do we live for on this show if not for hamster torture and drama?

Then again, these people are disgusting and boring and I'm sick of them, so I kind of don't care what happens to them. HOH today, gone tomorrow--all the same to me.

People say James is playing for second place, but Janie is too. At this point I don't think she has a chance of getting a vote from Marci, Dani, or Erika.

Against Howie: she loses because James and/or George will vote for Howie.
Against Will: she loses with Howie probably being her only vote.
Against Mike: she loses because Will votes for his best friend.
Against James: actually her best chance but I think CT will vote for him or split their votes.

So she'd probably have a much better chance of winning against one of the people she wants evicted.

On to the Coup clue:

Wikiviki: I too think the fly is suppose to mean "watching" like a "fly on the wall". But I think the phrase is probably "Do you like to watch?"

I am hoping that the two clues are clues from two entire different concepts, and not clues to just one concept. (the cloning concept). Which leads to DNA. Which leads to Do Not Assume.

I hope, I hope, I hope Dani is wrong. Otherwise, she will never shut up about it.

Capt. Savem is, in my opinion, completely right in his analysis of the HOH competition. Nothing else could be done other than a complete re-do. I can understand how Erika and her allies feel cheated and probably always will but it doesn't change the fact CBS and the BB producers have to do what's fair and what's legal or otherwise they are going to be open to lawsuits from Howie and everyone else in the comp past that point. Howie wasn't the only one who had problems with the buzzers. As it is, they covered themselves by stopping down and re-doing the comp. Erika might be able to get some sort of settlement, quietly after the game is well over.

But Janelle and S6 were doing the same thing. Janelle especially was ready to go on a rampage because one of the Float Herd dared to nominate her. It's all pot/kettle stuff, and I don't see Janey being any better or worse than the rest. She also snarked on Dani and her Misfit alliance spending time in the HOH together--something she does a LOT when she's HOH, hiding out in the HOH room. She WANTS there to be a new Nerd Herd, and she makes no effort to bridge the divide with fellow players, unlike Dani, who received even Chicken George's stamp of approval. Janey could hardly bring herself to talk directly to him for the first two weeks, he was so beneath her.

The day they started in on Janey (behind her back of course) that she's a 'whore' because of what she does for a living...while these people left their families to make money on a television show in which they humilate themselves?? But Janey's the whore???

Personally I'd like to see Janelle and Will as the final two. To me they are the best players of the game, different in the way they approach it, but also similar in the way I think they look at it....

I never heard Dani or Erika call Janey a whore. Dani called her a con artist, though. Which I happen to agree with. And she called her a vixen. She's also said a lot of nice things about her. Will, master manipulator that he is, is the one who really pulled from Janelle the details of her questionable profession. I also don't compare going on a reality show to being a prostitute, or a con artist for that matter.

And Janey is also on the show, so bashing everyone else for doing the show makes no sense to me.

As for the coup d'etat question, if you look at the wording of the question, Julie asked for a "well-known phrase that applies to the Big Brother game", which isn't the same as a phrase specific to the BB house, or a phrase that's used every week. It sounds more like a phrase people use in regular life that happens to also apply to the game. Otherwise, Julie might have said a "well-known Big Brother phrase," or "a phrase that you hear often in the Big Brother house."

In which case, "Do Not Assume" is an excellent guess, and "You Are the New Head of Household" isn't. Just throwing that out there.

Ideas for the clues...
Sheep: ewe, lamb, lamb to the slaughter, mutton, mutton chop, chopping block, friend-sheep, fiend-sheep, follower, wool, wooly, wool over your eyes, clone, DNA, Do Not Assume, Dolly, Hello Dolly, Barbra Streisand... maybe I'm getting a little off track. What's the other one?

Fly: fly under the radar, fly on the wall, insect, bug, you (ewe) bug me, maggot, larvae...

I've got it!

Big Brother: "Ewe gotta larvae it."

Shut up. I've got a migraine. I think it's easier to think of common BB phrases, and work backwards. What were the phrases used in the POV comp that Booger won that one time? I bet it's one of those, or close to it.
ZGeist
another thought about the coup d'etat clues..maybe they are putting the clues in reverse order to where they fall in the phrase:

blank blank blank fly sheep

blank blank blank eye ewe

blank blank blank see/watch you

so maybe it's something like:

we are always watching you
we can always see you

remember that in the POV ceremony with phrases, the phrases were spelled backward

In reality, Janelle is the one acting petty, bitchy, and self entitled this year.

Really?? She's the only one acting that way huh??
Danielle isn't acting "self-entitled" to the phone call from home?
James isn't acting "bitchy" that he was playing for the team but everyone else was for themselves? (as i Roll my eyes at James' troll-logic)
Marcellus isn't "petty" about..well EVERYTHING

All these people act petty, bitchy and self-entitled. They lie, backstab, and lie about backstabbing. The act out, act up, and pretty much act like children. All of that is part of the game, part of being 'on TV' and trying to make something of it.

None of that do I mind.

What I mind, and what makes me loathe someone like Danielle and James is that they are self-righteous about everything. Only 'they' are playing for the right reasons, only 'they' do things the right way...blah blah...hold me while I hork! I was making a comparison to the nerd herd. And, yes, IMO Janelle is all about the petty, bitchy, entitlement displayed in exactly the same way the nerd herd did last year. And, I've already said that I could care less about Dani's alleged self righteousness. She is extremely centered in comparison to Janelle's behavior. She does not call Janelle names just because she does something she doesn't want her to do. She does not display behavior that says, "it's my game and nobody else's." Janelle does. over and over and over again. Janelle's ego is causing her downfall and the irony of behaving exactly like last year's nerd herd. Just because she was last year's sweetheart, does not mean she can act like a total bitch and not have anyone notice.

Edited to ask: Are you two recently divorced? None of my business of course but ... I sense issues there.

What a bizarre question. But, uh, no, we are not. I've never met her or read a post by her before in my life. But, mostly, I'm a big homo, so that's not gonna happen.

You two (and you know who you are) have made your points, let's not keep harping on the same thing over and over again, okey dokey? My eyes are glazing over and that's going to turn me into Short Tempered Mod.

Back on the marriage proposal topic, I disagree that the kiss after is "proof" of a real relationship outside of the house. I could kiss Boogie like that with no prior practice. It wasn't exactly passion-filled.

Well, sure, but then you'd need to cleanse your lips in bleach and acid and that's just no fun.

OMFG, MAGGIE'S BACK IN THE HOUSE, DOOM!

Hahaha. Anyway, "sheep = mutton" somehow makes sense to me, just because of Coup D'etat being a French phrase, and mutton is a French dish. Like others have said, "sheep = ewe" can produce ANYTHING, and with the fly it's like, wtf? I dunno.
Snooky
For a phrase that "applies" to the BB house, how about "The inmates are running the asylum!" See, the sheep, see, is a reference to Silence of the Lambs, and see, there was an asylum in the book and movie, and see, therefore the sheep represents "asylum."

I think Boogtard's proposal was LAME-O. It wasn't even DOOG TV!! Who wants to get proposed to -- even faux proposed to -- in a communal bathroom? Seriously, what a 'tard.

AGH! Nate! Noooooooooo!!!!!eleven

I am LIKING the "Silence of the Lambs" train of thought, Snooky. Especially if it involves any of these losers being chucked down a well.

Are the sheep and the fly the only clues so far? How many do they get? What do other people think they are? Someone call Robert Langdon!
