ET Canada interviewed the pre-F3 jury and polled who theyd vote for: NO ONE raised a hand for the bros! BWAHAHAHA (tho in F2, Nikki being Nikki would vote the bros over Tim) but sadly only Joel likes Cass as winner. Maddy may be the most dull and dour bittercakes BB contest evah!

WED Recapsule:: PoV: bros, unused; Evicted: Cass—DAMMIT because…

Canadian viewers get Ramseys jury vote. The F3 answered 3 viewer questions: Why should you win over the others? What was your biggest lie? What would winning mean to you?

Kelsey and the bros invoked playing honestly (Kelsey because she was caught in one so she stopped; the bros because they measured their words and thus never had to lie") and seemed to really believe they did (as far as they define playing honestly), so both are UGH! for me. They so want to believe that they are the good people who deserve to win, even in their DRs.

So despite what he did to Joel, I may be voting for the Aussie (Tasmanian?) devil who knows and admits hes no angel.

I’m guessing the top viewer vote getter of the F2 gets the viewer jury vote.

-----
FINALE Recapsule:: HoH1/3 (physical): bros; HoH2/3 (comps history quiz): Kelsey (Tim forfeited—UGH!); HoH3/3 (jury member a/b quiz): Kelsey; evicted: Tim

Really, Tim?!?!? Forfeiting because you didnt bother to memorize/study house history? I hope Cass bitch slaps you.

Live jury questioning:: Kelsey came across meh but genuine; bros full of their delusional sense of honesty and integrity (made me dry heave).

Ha! Mitch’s voting comment: “Congrats to both of you I guess. Sometimes dumb luck can win this game.” Just about sums up most of my feelings about this finale.

Ramsey cast Canada’s (viewers) vote.

Jace and the girl from BB-Italy in the audience, mentioned but not interviewed.

Canada (viewers): bros (WTF?!?!?)
Mitch: bros (huh)
Raul: Kelsey
Maddy: bros
Jared: Kelsey
Nikki: bros
Joel: bros
Cass: bros
Tim: bros

OMFOGG!

Bros (Phil): “I just pee’d”
Bros (Nick): “We were estranged but this experience brought us closer than ever”

GET OFF MY SCREEN! They’ll plague me as previous winners in seasons to come.

I solely blame Tim’s behaviour and decisions since the F5 PoV for this season’s outcome. After protesting how much he wanted to win it, he should have just fallen on the F4 eviction sword and given Cass a chance in the F3. But no, he stayed only to basically self-evict by not studying and forfeiting.

Such a disappointing end.  I can't believe the delusional brothers won; they're going to continue to believe that they played a perfect, honest, game.  Even worse, they got Canada's vote - their heads are going to be quite swelled.  I'd like to know how many votes Tim got in Canada Votes.  I want to believe that he got an overwhelming majority and they just didn't count because he didn't make final two.

Tim, are you kidding?  I get that the last question was rough if you hadn't studied...however, he had 20 minutes to guess and check and still beat Kelsey.  I know he didn't know the time...but, still.  That may have actually been a competition Cass could have won.

I don't know that I blame Tim's decisions.  The sad fact is that Cass sucked at winning comps while Tim and Joel weren't much better.  There comes a time when you have to win competitions - especially if you're in a three person alliance, which had been revealed.  While I dislike the bros they did a good job of winning comps at the end.  By final five it was known Joel/Tim/Cass were working together...Kelsey and the bros had little choice but to work together - and by winning comps the bros were able to oust the trio.  I guess I do blame Tim as he's the one who revealed the alliance to Kelsey and the Bros.

I have to think that Tim won Canada's vote and because he had ruined all hope of winning by giving up, the vote went to the second place vote getters the bros. And in a lesser of two evils decision, they were the right choice in the end.  Can't believe Kelsey was so delusional to think she had played a good game that deserved the final win over them.

Kelsey and the bros are now free to read all the negative comments by the viewers.

I think so, too, bobane, as I probably would have dry heaved a bit more if Kelsey had won.

Good point, chrysana. Tim outing the ThreekShow was definitely the self-sabotaged beginning of the spiralling end of the games of Joel, Cass, and Tim. Joel may have been able to play a more subtle F5 week between the two pairs. But yeah, the whole comp-winner-will-mess-someone’s-game thing was a factor.

Bwahahaha re: how Tim maintained a perma-tan via Global TV’s The Morning Show:: Cass’s self-tanner-orange palms.

Tim, Kelsey, and the bros got interviewed first. Tim mentioned that he was wrestling with going for the win or giving it to a Canadian since the start of the season… so WHY couldn’t he have given it to a Canadian Persian princess?!?!? UGH! And why does he have to come across as still so likeable? Kelsey and the bros were predictably vanilla (sorry for insulting vanilla).

Ramsey re: representing Canada’s viewer vote:: the bros deserved the viewer vote BUT too bad they never owned up their lies—BURN!

Cass re: strategy regrets:: she likes how she played and wouldn’t have changed a thing she did

Mitch re: his PoV appeal “remove the cancer from the house” speech:: it was strategy to attempt to advance his game and not anything he personally held against people

Nikki and Tim want to see more of Canada beyond the BBCAN house walls. Tim: the outdoor interview was the first he’s seen of other Canadians (tho technically, that happened during the live finale). Nikki got a stuffed pug from a pre-teen fan.

Hopefully Global TV posts these The Morning Show segments to YouTube

Besides any additional commentary in this thread, that’s a wrap in Canada. Great production value, decent drama, disappointing whiners… I mean, “winners”

BBCAN post-finale interviews from Global TV’s The Morning Show (videos don’t seem to be geo-locked)

It’s a really short excerpt, but Mitch’s house cancer speech clip is a must see.

BBCAN winners (bros—UGH!) interview on Entertainment Tonight Canada (video also doesn’t seem to be geo-locked)

The Brothers did deserve the win over Kelsey, who seemed to think that Bitter Whine is a strategy.   They never did get nominated for eviction, and I don't think the show ever broadcast a scene where they were up for consideration.

Tim's exit was honorable, but he probably should have decided that at F5 over F3.

I was really impressed at the production value of everything for BBCanada.  The house, the contests, the alcohol consumption, the FOTH audience area.    How does CBS not have enough money to upgrade it's show?

As far as the house, part of it is that the set was built only four years ago. They haven't yet hit a point where they need to retrofit everything around something built over a decade ago. For US to get a better set, I feel they would need to just completely build a new one. As far as the cheapness of the comps and everything, I'd blame FUG. If she ever leaves, we might get a few extra bucks spent on shit.

dc20: I forget when BBUS/CBS got the second story of the house, but the whole thing is definitely due for a refresh. I also wonder how much the backyards (both US and CDA) can get expanded (i.e. which walls move) for the comp builds because a lot of comp sets have been HUGE! I also suspect FUG hires art directors who match her (lack of) taste.

Just caught the re-run of the BBCAN Side Show which originally aired on extended cable right before the finale.

Cass was interviewed. Much commiserating that she was no longer in the game. Also, S1 Peter got called out about his initial pre-season assessment of Cass.

Arisa asked Peter and S3 Sarah who would win each F2 iteration::

Tim vs Kelsey: Tim(P), Kelsey(S)

Tim vs Bros: Both picked Tim

Bros vs Kelsey: Arisa snarked in a whiney voice “I have integrity! I am loyal!” Sarah said Kelsey could argue that she had the brothers around her finger (didn’t happen, doubt Kelsey even considered it, probably due to her “integrity” and “loyalty”). Both picked Kelsey (didn’t happen because she thought promoting herself as a good loyal person of integrity would appeal to the jury and avoided mentioning anything that actually had to do with the game)

Then Sarah added a proviso: if the bros win, can we petition Nick to get 98%? BWAHAHAHA, yeah ’coz damn! Phil was definitely the whinier and least strategic of the two.

The non-jury evictees were asked to comment on the F3. Shari thought the bros did an awesome job flying under the radar to the end and not communicating their strategy to anyone, tho I happen to think that was just default block-headed non-game (as Mitch opined: sometimes dumb luck can win the game) and not an intentional “strategy” as the brothers keep saying in their post-win interviews. Arisa asked whether loyalty and “morals” would factor with the jury, and Ramsey didn’t think so with this jury (tho considering Raul and Jared voted for Kelsey, I think they were the exceptions and out-liars)

Ooo… interesting production tidbit from realityblurred.com comparing The differences between Big Brother Canada and USA:

BB Canada’s competition producer Trevor Boris has come up with some really fun and innovative comps (as well as voicing their occasional mascot comic Marsha the Moose), and I’m pleased to say he’ll be joining [BB USA’s competition producer Heath Luman]’s team this year.

So Grodner HAS been paying attention. Imagine that. I’m hoping they don’t sideline the new Canadian on staff.

The article goes into behind-the-scenes BBCAN stuff that I wasn’t aware of, but I would disagree with the opinion that BBCAN’s season 3 and 4 were inferior to 1 and 2.

I would say the order from best to worst would be 3,1,2,4.

Cast and outcome-wise, I’d agree, g, tho seasons 1 and 2 are about even for me. A Cass or Joel win would have saved season 4 for me, and I still blame Tim for handing F2 to Kelsey and the bros during his F5 ego-driven freak out.

Comp production has been strong since season 1, with even the more basic comps very polished, hardly kitchy when campy, and they keep trying to outdo their high points.

And while arguably over-the-top, the eye-popping house decor themes of seasons 3 (steam punk) and 4 (luxury casino hotel) were really cleanly executed and visually consistent.
