Another season has come and gone. Time for me to give some shout outs. I kinda' hate doing this, because I will be sure to forget someone. Let's just hand out a special thanks to anyone who dared to dip their tootsies into the Hot Tub of recapping here at HT.

 

As always, thanks to the amazing mods and admins for putting up with we recappers/posters. You do an amazing job of keeping us all in line, while still allowing some of us to bloviate a little more than we should.

 

Y'all are also marvelous recappers.

Beehoppy ... a recapper's recapper. 'nuff said.

 

Zgeist - Good to see you back, again. We missed you last year.

 

Sheenafury - A testament to the fact that all of you who have thought of recapping should just try it. I really liked the Rewind stuff. It really filled in a lot of the gaps.

 

Koolaid Kid - Another newby who added a lot of style to recapping.

 

RCToros, CycleRob, bedtime4bonzo, lurker, cubkip ... oh shit, I'll stop, right now. I know that I will forget someone.

Actually, I shouldn't say goodbye, but simply see you later! This season has been great fun, much more fun than poor Peen's season. As everyone else has said before me, thanks to the moderators, the administrators, the recappers and so on. Too many recappers for me to name, so let's just say, I lurve you all. Okay, I'll give a shout-out to two special "ladies" in CycleRob's heart (and if I knew how to highlight, I'd highlight your names for added impact): to BEEHOPPY, for serving as constant muse and inspiration, and for loving Dan even more than I did (Wild Mustangs rule!) Also to SNOOKY, who took me under her wing a bit when I was a newbie. Ah, the days when Snooky and I bonded over our loathing for Evil Dick. Good times!

 

Thanks again to all...till we meet again...

Damn, I hate this time of BB. After all the fun, people start wandering off and I actually have to find ways to entertain myself. It's just not faaaaaaaair!!

 

To the Admins and Mods, you guys are the best in the whole wide interwebnet.

 

To all the recappers, newbies and pros, you all make BB the fun mess it is every season. It's an honor to recap with you!

How to say goodbye? Do I give shout-outs and take a chance on missing someone that was great? Do I take the easy way out and say everyone was great (especially since it's the truth).

This season was exceptional! Thanks to all who made it so fun - recappers, of course; OT posters; chatters; and last but most important the admins and mods who glue it all together. I really mean that last one, though I'm a shameless kiss ass...it can't be easy to guide this ship - we love you all for it!

I gotta say that one of my favorite things, other than seeing my name in print, of course, is seeing people whose number of posts is under 100, whether their join date is this season or several seasons ago. I was a lurker long before I decloaked to post, but even though I felt like I knew everyone I was still a bit nervous about posting. Y'all made it easy and comfortable. Then I joined in chat for DWTS, and you were all so gracious and open and funny that it made me really want to try recapping and I was thrilled to get a computer that would support Real just in time for this season. I had a blast with the recapping I was able to do, and it has been such a rush to know that you folks who have kept me entertained for so many seasons, were in turn entertained by my contributions.

 

In the off season (as opposed to the offal season that was BB9) I've enjoyed discussing books and movies and other shows, too, so I encourage those of you who normally gravitate away from the site after the finale to stick around. After all, we have gorillas in Gabon on Survivor this season, Warren Sapp trying to dance on DWTS, and a former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader named Starr Spangler and her off-Broadway actor brother on TAR, so the potential for snark has not diminshed at all, just shifted gears. I for one am looking forward to seeing a big silverback let loose on a famewhore. Or at least chase Probst.

 

This season of BB has been so good that even the ancillary threads like Jerry Through History and Dan, Dan the Ficus Man is Responsible For threads have been just as funny as the recaps.

My wife dragged/bribed - threatened to cut me off last year if I didn't watch BB with her. I got into it and the CBS blog.....

 

Then this year I watched it cover to cover and along the way something wonderful happened - I saw a link to HT somewhere.

 

The rest is history - I was hooked by the talent and sheer genius of the recappers who made even the most mundane enjoyable. I actually got disappointed when BBAD came on and the recapping ended - many times the recapping was way more enjoyable than what was on the show.

 

Thank you all a great job - you made many of us very very happy day after day.

It's been said, but dang...like when Renny left and we all admitted to a tear or two? Like that.

 

I am really proud to be a member here. I truly hope the hammies read this site afterwards, because besides the fact we are frickin' hilarious, we are truth tellers as well. Like a really good court jester who makes the king laugh at his own foibles, I feel we serve to offer feedback to the "industry" about that which it hopes we would just swallow.

 

Oh, who am I kidding, I'd just love to think the old goat fucker would buy a clue before he buys the farm.

Thanks, recappers, for the laughs. Every one of you was reading my mind. This is the first season I went from start to finish logging onto HT once, twice, three, etc., times a day. I credit you with PooPeePaw GFJerry not winning ACJuror . . . thank OGG. (By the way, did you notice the camera caught him on a booger search?!?!?!?)

 

I now talk in HT-speak. People at work think I'm cra-zee (as Kee would say).
