Tsylyst Posted July 7, 2022 Backstage Boss and Backstage Pass explanations: Backstage Boss Pooch drew the Backstage Boss ticket, which means he is safe for the week but he can't compete in any comps and does not get a vote in the first eviction. He also had to give Backstage Passes to three of the other houseguests. Backstage Passes Pooch chose the first players out of two of the night's comps and also chose someone from the third comp (since there wasn't a "first out" of that one): Paloma, Alyssa and Brittany. These players also can't play in comps or vote in the first eviction, BUT they are not safe for the week -- meaning they are extra vulnerable because they can't win veto for themselves if nominated. America gets to vote to save one of the players with a Backstage Pass. Voting will be open at https://www.cbs.com/shows/big_brother/vote/# through 9 a.m. Pacific on July 14. copssister Posted July 7, 2022 (edited) Pooch was put in quite a pickle to choose after being isolated from all the other hammies during the first 90 mins. Until he proves himself to be a jerk, I kinda feel for him. That being said, a good political move would have been to change up who he picked for the third by selecting a male for the random selection from the "no one out first" comp. Picking a third woman to put at risk was a tad douchey. Edited to add: Those PortaPotties explosive splashes were some of the best BB slimes I've ever seen. Kudos to Production! Magpie Posted July 7, 2022 I'm giving him a pass on picking a third woman, since he had zero time to contemplate and didn't know squat about any of these people.
venkman7 Posted July 9, 2022 Was it just my recording or did they skip the 4th group entering the house? The 3rd got divvied up, went to commercial and then came back to everyone being in and the games starting.

angelmi Posted July 12, 2022 (edited) This season already had the media with their treatment of Taylor, CBS says they reminded them America is watching and had the usual preshow HR training every job gives them about prejudice, but I think it sad we had extreme last year and back to this now. angelmi Posted July 13, 2022 (edited) Yes I wanted to love this season but so much problems already, just saw the articles about Turner being a bully to his family and his last job, then saw another about Pooch getting a girl pregnant and dumped her and won’t claim the baby, his past social media has a lot of horrible things. NBC Today show and TMZ posting about the treatment of Taylor, then about Palomas medical condition, the found another about Jasmine, Ameerah are also mean girls. Twice I heard Daniel saying he is not a believer, the. Taylor said she is not either, that is going to go over well with Julie and her religious ways. copssister Posted July 13, 2022 (edited) I've remained rather quiet while reading the social media outrage on the treatment of Taylor.....but just can't any longer. I've been watching the feeds here and there, but watched a good portion right after the move-in. Taylor is not an innocent woman being scorned by the house for no good reason. She was boastful at best most of the time she was on the feeds in those early days. She pranced around, looking in mirrors at every chance, and gleefully played a game of dress-up where she modeled what she referred to as her "finale look". Perhaps the PC term would be "image-conscious", but this one is straight up materialistic and has little desire to actually know the people she's living with. We've seen this type in the past, season after season, but she's living and breathing every negative stereotype there is about beauty pageant contestants. The house didn't alienate her - her words and actions did so. Paloma is being made out to be a mean girl when Taylor overheard Paloma making catty comments about her (Taylor). Paloma didn't lie in the content of what she was sharing - Taylor just didn't like hearing the perspective of how others were viewing her behaviors. Rather than confront the room where Paloma was speaking - calling her out for what she was saying to others, Taylor isolated herself and cried to the cameras. I know this isn't a popular opinion, but social media is calling basic shit-talking "microaggressions" as if Paloma only shared those negative perspectives about Taylor because she's darker skinned than Paloma. Enough already - sometimes a woman being catty is just that - a woman being catty. Edited July 13, 2022 by copssister
Rose Lynn Posted July 13, 2022 I watched a bunch of the early hours. And, I can say that all of the above is true. This sounds like a lot of re-writing history after a few visits to the diary room and their behind the scenes spin for ratings. Also, Taylor was very mean to Indy on multiple occasions for her size (both to Indy directly and by way of mean girl talk to others). Taylor definitely engaged in her own fair share of mean girl talk in those early days. So, Taylor is no innocent.

Twitter posts a lot of nonsense that is not true, and entertainment media posts dramatic nonsense for clicks. What goes on outside the house, fiction or no, really isn't relevant to what goes on inside the house. I'm enjoying the season and ignoring the toxic social media theatrics. And let's not bring religion into it, please. That's one of the topics we don't do on HT.
Bebos Posted July 14, 2022 I read this morning that Paloma is gone. No one has any details of the reason yet.
Magpie Posted July 14, 2022 There have been no official announcements re: Paloma as far as I know. Twitter repeating what someone who is not CBS tweets is not confirmation. We will find out tonight, I'm sure.
