Tsylyst

Some new "extinction" twist (maybe a separate beach/island) with new and returning survivors.

Returnees are:

AUBRY BRACCO
Survivor: Kaoh Rong (Runner-up)
Survivor: Game Changers (5th place)

DAVID WRIGHT
Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X (4th place)

KELLEY WENTWORTH
Survivor: San Juan del Sur — Blood vs. Water (14th place)
Survivor: Cambodia — Second Chance (4th place)

JOE ANGLIM
Survivor: Worlds Apart (10th place)
Survivor: Cambodia — Second Chance (8th place)

I'm wondering in what ways "extinction island" will differ from "exile island".  Appears to be the same concept just recycled to align with the name of the season.

They really need to stop trying to make these people happen at this point. I mean, Joe is alway at least a bit of fun, but I'm not wanting to see any of them play again. Actually, I have no clue who David is, so that tells me I really am not wanting to see him.

I only remembered Aubrey, and that was only because I really liked her.  I remembered (vaguely) David and Joe once I saw their pictures.  I remembered Wentworth's name, but drew a blank at her picture.

I will always be happy to see Joe.  ha!

I also don't really mind seeing returnees -- even hated ones, sometimes... but yes, I like best, the seasons like the one we just had, to discover a new crop of people.  But to me at least it's also kinda fun to see more experienced players playing.

Oh, I wish.

I was thinking though that if this theme doesn’t involve cloning departed survivors using the blood samples from Island mosquitoes, it’s a huge opportunity lost.

Hot dog!  Can't wait for those... checked out the bios on your link, and can't wait for the snark to start here!

I can't wait for the premiere.... CBB was kinda "meh", yes -- especially as it wore on... but it gave me something to distract myself from certain things and a break, and I can't wait for Survivor to start up and be something to look forward to.  Last season was pretty good (to me anyway) and here's hoping this season will be too!

Dalton Ross is so great for Survivor coverage. Usually some fun contemporaneous tweets, too.

I can see why you're only a "fraction of the way" through that, Tsy!  Holy Moses, that's one in-depth behind-the-scenes!

I haven't gotten nearly all the way through either, but marked it so i can read some more later on breaks.  I've always wondered (a) how they get all the shots they do (camera shots, of course, ha!) and especially (b) how they never-ever accidentally get another camera man in a shot.  I loved that picture with all the camera guys hiding on the boat!

I was kinda disappointed to find out that tonight's premiere is only one hour... I really enjoy the two-hour premieres.  Plus was looking for something to occupy about that much time tonight!

They usually totally bloat shows like "World's Best" or whatever they're calling that, anyway, since that's on for the two hours after Survivor tonight... I mean, probably only about 30 to 45 minute of that will be actual performances.  I haven't had time to watch that, but according to my friend who is, much of the time will probably be the judges over-reacting.  She said, "You kind of expect that from RuPaul, but not Drew.... "  That and dragging out revealing the results as long as humanly possible.

Reem complained that they would have to "climb Mt. Everest" every day to get food. Why can't they make camp between the nearest fresh water and wherever they found the rice? Wouldn't that make more sense than schlepping up and down the hill all the time?
