CazBot Posted February 25, 2021 Anyone watching Tough as Nails? Do you know why Mikey Eyebrows had to go home?
Magpie Posted February 25, 2021 Maybe because he shoved that other guy into the water?
CazBot Posted February 25, 2021 HA! No answers this morning. Many articles all say the same thing https://www.republicworld.com/entertainment-news/web-series/what-happened-to-mikey-on-tough-and-nails-why-did-the-contestant-suddenly-leave-the-show.html

ShyLurkerGuy Posted October 23, 2021 (edited) Damn. I had such cozy memories of those early SYTYCD years, but now… Sigh… Cringe… https://www.thestar.com/news/investigations/2021/break-the-floor-dance-company-sexual-harassment-allegations.html [ETA read without subscription]: https://outline.com/https://www.thestar.com/news/investigations/2021/break-the-floor-dance-company-sexual-harassment-allegations.html I would never have expected #MeToo allegations against high profile SYTYCD competition alumni. It’s not as if the LGBTQ+ community needed post–Kevin-Spacey throwbacks to predatory tropes of the previous century, Nick Lazzarini and Travis Wall. If COVID didn’t permanently cancel SYTYCD, these allegation regarding their S1 champ and S2 runner up might be the final nail in the series’ coffin as far as network execs might be concerned. I’m not holding out hope for exoneration since the article has accounts of multiple incidents from multiple alleged targets stretching back over a decade. nixiechick Posted October 23, 2021 Can you cut and past the article? I really want to read it, but I can only see the first paragraph or so without subscribing. I loved SYTYCD for a while there, although I did lose interest in the last couple of seasons. I notice all the guys who were named pretty much didn't deny any of it, they just kept saying it wasn't unwanted and they apologize if anything they did made anyone feel uncomfortable. So basically, I'm guilty as charged, but I didn't mean for it to be skeevy for you.... my bad.

Tsylyst Posted December 8, 2021 Up next from CBS: Celebrity Survivor? https://www.tmz.com/2021/12/08/cbs-set-to-debut-survivor-like-show-featuring-celebrities/
Magpie Posted December 8, 2021 I wonder if they saw how popular "I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here" is in the UK and decided to follow suit, like has been done with other reality shows here? That show just started its 21st season.
Tsylyst Posted December 8, 2021 ABC and NBC both previously tried "I'm A Celebrity" for U.S. audiences and neither was all that popular if I recall correctly. I think I watched one episode and that was enough for me. But that was more than a decade ago, so maybe CBS thinks it will have better luck now.
