angelmi Posted February 16, 2018 And now he has proposed to her, so new BB TAR couple engaged.
elizabethann Posted February 16, 2018 Where and when did the proposal happen? Did I miss something?
Tsylyst Posted February 17, 2018 It's on their social media. He proposed on some hiking trail above LA. Of course it was filmed from several angles for their social media channel. http://www.cbs.com/shows/big_brother/news/1008298/big-brother-19-showmance-jessica-and-cody-are-engaged-/?ftag=EOS-05-10aaf6i
angelmi Posted February 22, 2018 Surprise!! And without her eyelashes the whole time, but those stupid extensions!!
elizabethann Posted February 22, 2018 This finale made me very happy. The best part? Yale had the puzzle completed, but switched out a piece thus allowing Jody to win.
MrsGryn Posted February 22, 2018 I was hoping for a Team-Xtreme win but was fine with Cody and Jess. They had some lucky breaks but were surprisingly cohesive as a team that really doesn't know each other all that well. Other teams seemed to actually like them as people and I think this may have been Cody in his element: goal oriented and focused on the tasks at hand. I did like that he had tears in his eyes when talking about his daughter, though he ought be careful that he doesn't rust. Team Yale, man. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. And "Hen! HENNNNNN!" is going to hear about his failure for a long time. I really was annoyed with the way Evan was speaking to him during the episode, her condescending tone and that whole bullshit "I hear what you are saying but..." validating speech bullshit. That's just a modern way to say "I don't give a fuck what you say or think." It's rude and it does the exact opposite of what you think it does: it belittles the very person it is directed toward. Wow. I have issues.
copssister Posted February 22, 2018 I'm dying to know whether production told Yale that Henry had the puzzle completed before Jess, but then changed it. Because if they found out at the watch party for the finale last night, I hope there were cameras there to capture the reaction! Good for Jody - hope they have a lovely life together.....away from reality TV cameras.
gforce Posted February 22, 2018 I'm rather happy for Cody and Jess. They raced well and seemed to get along swimmingly. More power to them.
Shannon Posted February 22, 2018 Meh... When Henry had it and then lost it, I knew who was going to win. I don't know how Henry was suppose to think with Evan yelling constantly, she was ridiculous. I didn't really want anyone else to win, so yeah, meh. I'll be surprised if they disappear into a normal life, but I hope they do.
Jade Posted February 22, 2018 I feel so sorry for Henry... being stuck with Evan (one of the most annoying people on the planet) for this whole race. He seems like such a nice guy. And, he clearly has the patience of a saint. Cody and Jessica were an oddly likable team... and really fun to watch. Even my honey (who hates all things reality tv) said he thought they were a cute couple. He even CHOSE to watch the finale last night because he wanted to watch them win. (Having no idea at all who they were, he picked them to win early in the season.)
Kyara Posted February 23, 2018 You don't have issues, Mrs. Gryn. Or, if you do, then I have them too. The way Evan speaks to Henry is pretty awful in exactly the way you describe. I don't know why he puts up with that crap, but he's clearly too nice for his own good. I wanted to smack the shit out of her with all that screeching during the puzzle. How does she expect anyone to concentrate? I was happy to see Cody and Jess win. I sure hated them on BB, but ended up liking them just fine on TAR. They made an excellent team that encouraged each other, remained level-headed, and was kind to citizens of the countries they visited.
AVorlon Posted February 23, 2018 I too thought Cody and Jessica did a great job on this race. I don't think they're going to disappear into oblivion, though, I think a win like this makes them into something like BB royalty, and I'm sure FUG will find a way to bring them back in some capacity, even if it's only to host a comp. . gforce Posted February 23, 2018 Oh, you know she will. Successful BB romances are like crack to FUG and we haven’t seen the last of them unless they really want to shed the limelight. Cody doesn’t strike me as someone who gets off on that, but the right amount of money might do it. I agree about Evan. Notice when Henry asked her to be quiet during that final challenge and she turned around in a frustrated huff. Ugh.
Tsylyst Posted February 23, 2018 They have their own YouTube channel about their life together, so I'm thinking they don't mind the spotlight. Of course, I assume most of that is Jessica's doing. I could very much imagine her coming back solo for a vet BB season to prove herself without Cody.
