The Amazing Race - Season 30

Jessica and Cody are officially on the next season which starts filming on October 1st. So, considering how Big Brother showmances usually pan out, about halfway through Italy, we should see the break-up.

Oh I do want to see Cody crying while she drags him to the end.

Jump on that showmance while it's still hot, I suppose.  They were apparently very popular with a segment of the BB viewers, but I don't know who that was. 

I'm surprised they're just now starting to film it.  I figured they already had one season in the can, just waiting for one of the new fall shows to fail miserably.  As it is, it sounds like this season will be ready right about the time Survivor ends.

As a couple, they don't do much for me. As individuals, he amused me in his non-interest in putting on a "show" in the DR and she could have been an All-Star-level BB player if she hadn't decided to make googoo eyes at Cody instead. The pair of them on TAR could be funny, especially when they lose their passports and he tries to step to Phil at the mat for not letting them check in.

I have no interest in showmances and didn't have any interest in theirs, but I thought that as individuals, they were two of the most entertaining and interesting hammies in the BB house. I think they'll be an amusing TAR team, and I will probably start watching the show again just to see them. Cody has a lot of entertainment potential steamrolling his way through the TAR countries and stoically putting up with various indignities, and I think Jessica has learned her lesson and will apply her smarts to the game this time around.

For me, Jess is Rachel-ish without the annoying whining/laughter.  Cody is a uber stoic. logical Herman.  Forget the romance aspect of it, I like them as a team because they actually compliment each other's abilities.  They make each other better people by being together.  I can't wait to watch her lose her shit when she does a water challenge and her weave comes out.  He's going to lose his mind when he's forced to learn that Russian dance.  

I'd also like to see Mark & Elena run that race - to see how the 2 BB showmances do against each other.

Whether they crash and burn and split up in a horrible argument, or really work together and are awesome, I'm sure they'll make it interesting!

Here's an Inquisitor article which gathered several Twitter spoiler photos from the race's start.  All I will say here is that Jessica must have picked out their matching shorts.  Oy.....I think she bought them both the same size!

I see they have matching hats now, too.  Jessica probably shouldn't be wearing shorts. I never noticed it before, but her knees look like those of a 90 year old woman.

Wouldn't it be funny if after they marry, at the reception, Jessica pulled off her fake head and she really is a 90 year old woman.

She may have picked out her shorts to match his, but those are the green Marines "silkies" shorts he wore in the house all the time – but usually as underwear I thought.
