From his original CBS.com bio:

Age: 50

Current Residence: Miami, Fla.

Occupation: Swimsuit Photographer

Personal Claim to Fame: Adopting and raising my family of 12 marmoset monkeys.
Inspiration in Life: Muhammad Ali. He changed the face of boxing and perhaps sports in general. He is the most recognized athlete on the planet and an outspoken social activist who crossed the racial limits.

Hobbies: Studying monkeys, swimming, walking in nature with my dogs and working in exotic locations.

Pet Peeves: People that constantly text while I’m having a conversation with them, bad drivers and women with manly hands.

3 Words to Describe You: Adventurous, determined and entertaining.

SURVIVOR Contestant You Are Most Like: If I were to be totally honest I’d have to say I relate to no one. I’m Troy Robertson, I’m like nobody else!

Reason for Being on SURVIVOR: I need this challenge for myself more than you will ever know! I want to know “how” and “who” I am in a major competition like this. This show is all I have thought about and concentrated on in the past 11 years!!! I need to know dreams come true.

Why You Think You’ll “Survive” SURVIVOR: I’m a true outdoorsman. I can make a fire with two sticks. I am a swimmer and a natural born leader. I have the ability to make people the best they can be. I have great animal instincts and swim like a dolphin.

Why You Think You Will Be the Sole SURVIVOR: I believe it’s my destiny. Truthfully, because I believe 100% that Survivor was created for me. I’ve been waiting 10 years and nothing will stop me! I have the skills and energy for every single category played on Survivor. There is not a single person on this planet more suited for this adventure!

He was an asshole, right?

He goes by Troyzan, is there really any question to his asshole level? His pet peeve is women with manly hands. Huh. But his mullet is okay? I'm thinking his mullet would be easier to fix than a woman's hands.

I remember that he only went by Troyzan because someone else was calling himself Tarzan and he threw a hissy fit over it. Also, if memory serves me correctly, the actual Tarzan was much more entertaining.

Troyzan's updated bio for Survivor 34. Because if you can't get Phillip PinkPanties, Troyzan is your next best get:

Age: 54
Hometown: Miami, FL
Previously played on: Season 24: One World, Finished 8th & Jury Member

How have you changed since the last time you played?
I’m mentally stronger and more prepared to be a social person around my tribe in camp life and the game, in general. I’m more aware that most castaways play this as a “game” and don't play it as real life, so I must adapt to that way of thinking.

What skills do you bring to Survivor that will make you a useful member of the group and what skills have you been learning since you last played?
I've always been 100-percent a team player. And, I also think of myself as a great motivator with the people I'm around. I like taking the leader role in a low-key way.

I’ve lived my life as an adventure and I’m extremely in touch with nature. I’ve been a jungle boy my whole life so fishing, fire-making, and shelter-building come very easily to me.

Also, I've been re-watching past Survivor seasons to pick up any clues I missed the first time around. I work my best to stay young at heart.

What are you most proud of from the last time?
I’m proud that I stayed true to myself. You pretty much saw 100-percent of me! I'm happy that everyone watching, including my tribe mates, got to see all my emotions. Whether I was laughing, smiling, carefree, kind-hearted, ecstatic, sympathetic, happy, sad, angry, irritated, heart-broke, or you name it… you got to see it all. All of Troyzan!

I'm also pretty proud of that fact that my rant of “This is MY ISLAND!” is considered one of the 10 most memorable moments in Survivor history. I'll look back years from now and still laugh at that moment!

What, if anything, do you most regret?
I regret that I didn’t confront my enemies face to face more. I also would have called out Kim Spradlin (eventual winner of Survivor: One World) in front of the entire tribe daily!

I was putting too much thought into winning challenges as opposed to letting the tribe see the obvious plan Kim had. My mistake.

How will you play differently this time?
I’ve realized this is an “outwit” game more than anything else. I’ll try to keep the bullseye off my back by not showing ALL my cards, like the last time I played.

And, at all costs, ALWAYS in ALL ways keep a person around who’s a bigger target than myself. Keep your friends close and kiss your enemies!

He did not come across as batshit crazy so far. In fact, he seemed fairly normal. Perhaps it was just because he was up against Tony the Llama? I don't know but we'll see how this plays out.
