I noted that TAR is not on the roster (so far anyway) of the shows that CBS has announced have been renewed for the Fall season.

I was sorry to see the Asian couple depart so early. I thought the guy might be interesting to get to know, and the girl was my major eye-candy. Too bad they were so incompetent. On the other end of the scale, the gay police officer and his female firefighter partner were pretty impressive, at least in this first leg. They never got lost, and had great upper body strength to do the rowing challenge.

 

Some of the teams seem to be totally dysfunctional, so I think it would be good if they could swap partners, as long as everyone agreed. Of course, this thing has already been filmed, so they won't be taking suggestions from the viewers.

I still haven't watched it. I just can't seem to care enough to push the "play" button on the DVR remote.

 

The ratings were not great either, by CBS standards anyway.

Hit the "play" button, folks. It's not better than other seasons, but it's not worse, either. You can always play "guess who the lesbians are" and do a shot whenever you get one right. (No offense intended).

 

That may not be enough booze, so take a shot whenever someone says "go, go, go.",

I've also not pressed PLAY yet on this one. I'm not even sure I watched any the last season. I do love my Phil and The Race, but the gimmick casting (kicked off with the "social media stars" edition) has driven me away for most of the last few seasons.

I did enjoy it more than I thought it would. Other than the unknown partner thing, which was cleverly sorted in the beginning, it was a fairly normal episode.

I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would! Even the unknown partner thing is actually kinda interesting, the way they did it, and could be fun to watch unfold and grow. Or implode.

Indeed, Scott (I think his name is) got up there despite his desperate fear of heights and got the thing done. First time too, if I remember right. Really, I was wondering if Shamir even *had* balls.
