So, they can't do something physical like volleyball, and they can't do something mental, like putting a puzzle together. I was hoping for some eye candy here, but I doubt that they'll be around long enough for me to figure out which one is which. .

They're doing a bang-up job of proving how smart pro cheerleaders really are.

U-Turning a team that you know was hours ahead of you? Genius-level thinking.

Except, if they are in the race when the next U-turn comes up, they can't use it. Of course, the chances that they will be in the race longer than the next two weeks are slim and none. And, slim has left the building.

At least they have some spunk, and unlike Lou Grant, I like the spunk. They won't win this thing, but at least it seems like they're enjoying themselves, and not wallowing around in self-pity while complaining about each other.

I really didn't have a problem with it. Whoever was riding the bike made it sound like someone grabbed the balloon net causing the balloons escape. It really wasn't because of anything she did.

Plus, the whole setting seemed a little unsafe. It was night and they were all riding a rickety bike across a bridge with a bunch of crazy drivers weaving in and out of traffic. I wonder if the producers wanted to move everything along before one of the racers ended up in the drink.

I think you're right about the producers wanting to move things along since it was not her fault. But we've seen in the past where someone has been sent back to repeat a task if they don't do it perfectly or deliver exactly what they were supposed to.

I don't think it would have stuck out so badly if the editors hadn't used that as the dramatic-out for the commercial break. They way they did it with the tense music built up a sense of "oh no, what will Tiffany do now!?", and then it had no pay off.

They do that a lot on this show, but it was really obvious and felt like a letdown this time. Maybe because this was one of the few times in this entire season where it seemed like someone's actual performance in a task would affect the outcome of a leg (as opposed to their inability to read a clue or their shitty transportation).

Most of the tasks this season have been pretty passive and "we'll just complete this and move on to the next" straight-forward. There hasn't been much challenge in the sense of figuring out a complex problem or doing some big brave stunt. They bungee jumped, but that's pretty tame by Race standards. In this episode they had to, what? Ride a bike and then walk a mile or two? Teams got to the Pit Stop in exactly the order they left the last one, with about the same times between them as they had before.

It's no wonder the editors are stretching to make things seem dramatic.
