ahab1013 Posted July 16, 2013 I just wrote something then erased it because I had an epiphany, well its an epiphany wrapped in a conspiracy...an epiphspiracy! We've all bitched about wanting to have an all-new cast, FUG definitely likes her returning players, so what if this dreck is her way of saying 'See, we need the veterans because at least they are known commodities'. After suffering through this group we might be begging for another All-Stars season.
issycat Posted July 16, 2013 I was reading that farce of a Facebook fan page of Aaryn and one commenter said that on BB UK, the producers address racial comments with contestants directly and then boot them if they don't change. Is this true? Do you think it would be better f FUG would intercede with Aaryn and give her a chance to modify? It's probably too late now anyway.
Mekias Posted July 16, 2013 (edited) I know on Big Brother 8 in the UK, Emily was joking with 2 other girls (a black girl & an indian girl) and called the black girl the N word. There was no malice in it but it caused a controversy and she got kicked out. No warning or anything. I know I would never say that word. I guess I grew up in a time where no one said it and it never entered my vocabulary. But I can see where younger people can think it's not a big deal. As a result of that word being reclaimed by rappers, it's now prevelant in almost every form of pop culture. Young people could easily end up using it just due to shear repetition and not even knowing it's history. I think that's what happened with Emily (who was only 20 or so at the time). I thought it was unfortunate that they kicked her out for that but this was right after an Indian woman was bullied and had her race made fun of in the previous Celebrity Big Brother a few months before. I don't remember any recent issues with racial comments so I'm not sure if they've developed some better kind of system. Shannon Posted July 16, 2013 The low class and racism of this cast in no way makes me wish for another season of yet more has-beens from previous seasons. It's not like there are only two choices, what they need and have always needed is better casting. Obviously FUG and whats-her-name caster are not good at their jobs. brafish Posted July 16, 2013 (edited) The problem with casting shows like this is that most sane people wouldn't do it. I'd love to give it a shot, but the reality is that I've got a job where I can't just get up and leave for 3 months. Also, I'd probably be too boring. That leaves actors, bartenders, models, housewives, teachers, retirees and pizza boys. You're picking from the people who have nothing to lose or no sense. How did Helen end up on this show anyway? autumnescove Posted July 16, 2013 (edited) Well, I'm bringing myself up as a bad Hamster Watcher. I officially award myself a demerit.Last night at 2:29 am I was so ensconced in watching GinaMarie start to go bratty ballistic over the hiding of her binky shady fuck Shrine that I completely missed something a bit more interesting.Howie's full frontal nudity schlong shot. Like, WTF is wrong with me that my eyes would be so focused on the back of G-M's nasty ass hair rats nest and not see a Chippendales calendar shot being unveiled? How many demerits before I lose my recap privileges? hefgypsy Posted July 17, 2013 Jeremy pleading for his life to Helen And Elissa. IF they buy it and keep him I hope they get put up and are out next week with a double eviction. These girls are really stupid if they let him stay.
