Tsylyst Posted June 27, 2013 Added to the Show FAQ: 8. What is the Most Valuable Player and how does it work? Introduced in BB15, the Most Valuable Player is selected each week through a vote by America. That player is informed in secret and makes a third nomination for eviction in secret. They are not obligated to reveal themselves. They are informed of their MVP status right before the Veto competition each week.

ff174 Posted June 27, 2013 While this whole "America Votes" thing has a loophole you can drive a truck through, I got to say that FUG got part of it right: Whoever is the MVP will be told in secret, and make their selection in secret. That is going to make a lot of very, very paranoid hammies. Making paranoid hammies is the same as hammie torture ... which I am all for. I am very impressed with this new group. dave24 Posted June 27, 2013 (edited) Edit: Oops! I must've heard wrong. I thought the MVP nominated before the ceremony, not the competition. Still exciting nonetheless. Edited June 27, 2013 by dave24
jerrye25 Posted June 27, 2013 I like the idea of the MVP but I hate that America votes. It's always a popularity contest. The same set of people will win it throughout the year.
Tsylyst Posted June 27, 2013 Yeah...the group of people called "whoever FUG wants".
uaintjak Posted June 27, 2013 Am I the only one who kept thinking "What a trainwreck all these people are!"? I'm so excited.
nixiechick Posted June 27, 2013 Oh no, there's more than our normal share of secret childhood trauma lurking in this group. You can see it in the eyes.
ff174 Posted June 27, 2013 Yeah...the group of people called "whoever FUG wants". That is the loophole I was referring to. FUG has manipulated the gave on one too many occasions. Once she finds her new boy toy, that person is golden. Hopefully, they institute a rule that says you can't be MVP two times in a row ... or three.
UCantMakeThisStuffUP Posted June 27, 2013 I am so hoping that the MVP twist will effect the backdoor part of the game, which is so overused that you KNOW whose going each and every week.
angelmi Posted June 27, 2013 The free pass card for no have not, sweet. The humper on the popsicle was gross, was she the same one who thought she was the cutest there? So ready for the feeds to start, can't wait to see how CBS.com works. And tonight's TV Guide channel for BBAD. The Talk's show was stupid as usual, but was excited to get the sneak peek of the house. The edits on tonight's show really makes you hate each and every one.
kenyabirdy Posted June 27, 2013 Has the first comp ever lasted over 3 hours?
dave24 Posted June 27, 2013 Well, I guess all that of 100 Days of Summer was scrapped (or not meant literally) considering Julie said they'd be in the house for the next 90 days. Has the first comp ever lasted over 3 hours? That was surprising. On one hand it's refreshing to have HGs that are clearly competitive but on the other.... why did so many think it was a good idea to look intimidating this early? IceManNYR Posted June 27, 2013 10min to 12am ET and CBS has the feeds off so we can't tell in advance if they are going to work ok. "They are informed of their MVP status right before the Veto competition each week." Did Julie say when the MVP is going to make the third nomination and when the house is told? Tsylyst Posted June 27, 2013 No, she didn't say that. ETA: The Have-Not room has airplane seats for beds. Ha!
