bttrcup Posted October 4, 2005 If they really are shuffling the tribes I doubt it's because they want Stephanie to win, and more about NOT wanting another lop-sided season. It was interesting once to see one tribe dominate, but to have this season be an exact repeat of last season would not be good!
GoGo Girl Posted October 6, 2005 It is so good to see someone else *not* cheerleading for Steph! I don't know...I generally don't want people to succeed beyond my accomplishments so maybe that's why I'm not in Steph's corner. Girl's had her day in the sun already. ladyjane Posted October 7, 2005 (edited) Jeff Probst Leaving Survivor? No Peachy, say it aint true.... NOOOOO! Edited October 7, 2005 by ladyjane
copssister Posted October 7, 2005 No Peachy, say it aint true.... NOOOOO! Peachy's contract (assuming it's the original one) is probably pretty lean in the compensation category. Heck, he was hosting Rock 'n Roll Jeopardy before Survivor. He's probably just laying down the challenge for Burnett to cough up more cash. However, I'd help Peachy load up his backpack if Burnett could convince Anderson Cooper to quit CNN. Awwww, I miss The Mole.
gforce Posted October 7, 2005 It's interesting to note that Jeff is still with Julie - maybe it IS possible to find true love on a reality show.... I could understand him being away all the time would be a pain if you wanted a family. That being said, Survivor just wouldn't be Survivor without him. ladyjane Posted October 7, 2005 I read more about Jeff possibly leaving the show, but I agree with copsister about a bid for more money. Another site had the interview where he talked about his contract being for 2 years at a time, so he is obligated to do the next survivor (12) by contract anyway, he also said they only had to ask him to do another Survivor contract. I dont think he is quite ready to leave this gravy train. His contract is always almost over..... I have seen news articles about Julie being on site with Peachy, and I dont for one minute believe that he is really "roughing it" on location. Kraft does travel dont they? And really, isnt Survivor 40 days long? twice a year on average? And maybe he has to do cover shots for an additional week or so? So really, I would estimate that he is on location for maybe 3 months of the year, and, of course, while there is traveling needed to promote the show, there are nice Hotels practically everywhere! I bet the Hiltons would gladly take Peachy in for a slice of the Survivor pie. Hi, My name is Jeff Probst, and after a hard day of shooting on location in some really amazing places, I like to hang my torch at the local Hilton. The best place to survive in style.....A Hilton Hotel! And how many jobs can you schlep your main squeeze along to? He could take the kids he says he wants to start with Julie and take the show on the road. I think he could probably afford a Nanny, come to think of it, I would love to see a Nanny 911 call to the Survivors - you've been very, very naughty! She could teach them all sorts of outdoor manners and hygiene tips.
rappy Posted October 8, 2005 Bless you Peachy, for telling Steph that bad luck isn't chasing her so much as she's the cause of it. Loved it. Never leave me, Peachster, never leave! Dude, Gary's lips? Yech. As for farmer boy, I find him exceptionally creepy. Like, 20 dead bodies in my barn creepy. Margaret isn't going to win it, but she's by far my favourite. buffyvol Posted October 8, 2005 (edited) Hi, My name is Jeff Probst, and after a hard day of shooting on location in some really amazing places, I like to hang my torch at the local Hilton. The best place to survive in style.....A Hilton Hotel! I don't know, I'd bet Julie wouldn't want Peachy anywhere near a "Hilton". Especially since Paris and Paris are broken up now. I was really rooting for those crazy kids. Awww! Look! We're not the only ones that worship at the Alter of Lydia! It's a link to a thread at SurvivorSucks. buffyvol Posted October 21, 2005 DOUBLE POST! So ban me You know, If Judd were young and HOT I'd like him for drinking too much beer. As it is, he's just mice on the cornbread. He needs to shut his pie hole. And Man up! or Bust a Wedge! That sounds SOOOO DIRTY! Still loving Queen Lydia's hair. It's the real Survivor. I'm hoping it gets its own Pringle. "Which Survivor had hair almost as good as Sandra's?"
ladyjane Posted October 21, 2005 (edited) I really thought that Rafe would go for geek solidarity and save Brian. Did I miss the love between Gary and Rafe somehow? I was blown away, didnt see that coming. perhaps I am getting too old.... And Amy - I cant wait to see how she hurts herself next! Bobby John - caveman freak..... I think Steph wants to keep Jud around cause he is a HUGE target, but a powerful ally (for now).... ETA: Did anyone else get the dry heaves watching Bobby John use his festering sores as fish bait??!!!?????!! I was absolutely appalled! buffyvol Posted November 4, 2005 Oh! How the mighty have fallen! 3 weeks since the last post about Survivor? I blame it all on Steph. I would have loved to see her not make the jury, and I'm really rooting for Lydia's Hair to find that Idol and run the table. Mom hair Rawks!
MrsGryn Posted November 4, 2005 Why oh why didn't Rafe and Cindy switch sides and vote out Jamie? Bleeech. On the other hand, Bobby Jon rocked the whole show. We kept cheering him (though I'm glad Gary won immunity)
