gunshyne Posted September 29, 2005 I agree with Rappy about The "This Just Might Be the Season...." part. My husband is a BIG BIG football fan ( in case anyone hasn't heard me rant about that damn fantasy football, that has HIM wanting the computer every night.) So when I heard that Jim , was a QB, I got him to come look. He had never heard of him or recognized him at all, Chris said "He must have sucked" Hee....Hee... But my husband is 26 so maybe he just doesn't remember him. But i am so sick of hearing him too, "I WAS a QB" yeah Jim the key word in that is WAS buddy, what an ego. I am not even getting on the Steph & Bobby John subject...I am not a big Stephanie fan (Don't kill me ya'll) but Bobby John is cute, Got to admit that. I was also thinking that if Survivor was only contracted for 12, maybe that is why they put Bobby John & Steph back so soon .... ROB C's crying butt said "give us time to miss them". I hope Survivor doesn't go anywhere because I have only been watching for little bit.

lifeonhold Posted September 30, 2005 I think this season is just fine so far. The first ep was interesting with all the puking and eyes rolling into the back of the head. I'm waiting for Margaret to turn into a Nurse Rachet. The location is interesting and I'm sure villians and heros will emerge. Some of the survivors are still formless personality-less blobs because they all look alike and act inane, but I do appreciate those who are starting to emerge. I like Farmer Brandon's commentary and still like Stephanie. Fishmonger Lydia reminds me of Sandra. Gary is kinda Lurch-like. I think the season is doing fine so far. After all, Maggot just won Big Brother.
MrsGryn Posted September 30, 2005 Shannon, it was Brianna from the...uh, Stephanie's team. Sorry, can't remember which is which. She was one of the cute brunettes. During the immunity challenge, which was VERY cool, she basically didn't participate much, while Amy, the Down East copper was hustling on a badly sprained ankle. Good riddance to the slackers. Oh, and I'm rooting for Gary "NFL" Hogeboom at this point, other than Steph and Bobby Jon, and the Man Up dude. But I'd give it to the howler monkey if possible. AAAAOoooOOOOoooooOOOOOoogggGGGHHH! buffyvol Posted September 30, 2005 I'd give it to the howler monkey if possible. AAAAOoooOOOOoooooOOOOOoogggGGGHHH! If the monkey is going to stick around awhile, he's gonna have to have a name. Since he bugged whatshisname so bad, How about Mime? Every season of every show has to have a Mime. Best "twist" EVAH!
gunshyne Posted September 30, 2005 Gary is kinda Lurch-like. Oh God he is. Lurch-Gary. I haven't got any favorites yet but I have had a few surprises after last nights competion. FIRST- was I was pleased to see Rafe being athletic. (In my mind I could picture Brandon in that net and that had me rolling) Second- Danni, What can i say other than I am glad to see A strong female out there, that can go up against THE STEPH. Third- Brianna, LOL I think that it is bad when you get evicted over the survivor with a sprained ankle, but she deserved it. Also I don't think Stephanie is going to last too long after Merge, She seems okay for now as long as her team keeps on with the "vote out the less athletic". But from what Jeff said, I bet the next challenge will be mental. But Stephanie can do all I believe. Stephanie might start rubbing people the wrong way, It looked like she was getting a little isolated from the others last night. I know I am in the minority here, Steph is starting to rub me the wrong way. I Loved her last season. I felt every bit of her hurt & frustration. But take away that & I think she is acting kinda spoiled & better than . She is starting to become .....god forbid a whiner.( I will get blasted I am sure) But nobody else thinks this? Or I don't know maybe it is just her Eyebrows......
MrsGryn Posted September 30, 2005 HowlerMonkey does need a name, but it can't be Mime because Mime's greatest accomplishment is to annoy without making a sound. Even though I love him, I'd name the howler monkey "Rupert". Or perhaps "Probst's Ex-Wife"? Hey, gunshyne, we don't blast people for having a difference of opinion! I still like Steph, but I can see what you're saying about the sense of entitlement. Since Bobby Jon isn't getting a lot of camera time, I'm guessing he lasts longer than she does. ladyjane Posted September 30, 2005 I wondered about Steph's sour grapes last night. I did hear superwoman cop say that they got 2 minutes to whine, bitch and complain, then get over it, so maybe the mystical editing gods put Stephs 2 minutes in....reaching......I really admired how she seemed to focus on positive rather than bittercakes last season, but maybe I have faulty memories due to the excessive bittercakes I endured reading the recaps of BB6....Dammint Maggot! YOu have tainted my reality POV!!! I also decided that I would rather be at the Steph camp also, rather than listen to that Howler Monkey monologue with play by play by the zookeeper. I am skeered for the nurse....it seems that since all the he-men vomiters have gotten better, they want to get rid of her...cause she drags them down and is bossy...boo hoo hoo..... You're probably right about Mime not being a good name for HowlerMonkey, but if you are suggesting Rupert, as in MY RUP!, you and I are gonna have to have words or something. Cuz I loves me some RUP! and I wont have him disparaged in any way! *throws empty Cherry Vanilla Diet Dr Pepper bottle at MrsG* Edited September 30, 2005 by buffyvol
shadylady98926 Posted September 30, 2005 Huh! For some odd reason I was calling the Howler Monkey "Ivette" last nite. Uh, no particular reason........ right! This season started off great, I hope it doesn't start fizzling and disappointing.....
MrsGryn Posted September 30, 2005 (edited) Man, Heewig goes to Arizona and Buffy flips out! *throws empty Warm Delights box back at Buffy* Seriously, I *love* Rupert. I always have, from the minute he said, "We're pirates. Pirates steal", and he gathered the shoes. My Rupert love has never diminished, and in fact I was finally turned off of TWoP because of the constant Rupert bashing. It was meant in homage! GoGo Girl Posted September 30, 2005 My first thought about the croaking monkey was that the producers chained him up there in the treetops just to antagonize the (what are we calling them??) people. I still like Man Up Farmer. I don't know what it is with him and me. I used to have a great go-to farm hand fantasy, but he doesn't really fit the bill so I'm confused. None the less, I dig him. For now. Real men swim with gators. :) So, would you eat a termite "for the protein?" It was cool to see Steph act like a chick for a change and cringe at the insect grazing. FAAmecanic Posted September 30, 2005 Huh! For some odd reason I was calling the Howler Monkey "Ivette" last nite. Uh, no particular reason........ right! This season started off great, I hope it doesn't start fizzling and disappointing..... ROFL Shady..... Ivette fits the howler monkey perfectly!! Annoying and LOUD mouthed! Brianna.... glad to see her go. I think Steph had every right to be pissed off at that lazy girly girl. I mean, Steph is out there fighting, clawing, punching to get that ball and all Brianna could do was STAND there. At least Lydia was TRYING... If I was Steph I would have throw that ball at Brianna's head in hopes that it would knock her out.... she would have been more productive that way. gunshyne Posted October 3, 2005 I was at CBS.com, and on the survivor site it said this Thurs. they are shuffling the tribes...HMMMm wonder why. I think it will be funny whatever the new tribe Steph is on starts a losing streak too. I know I am evil, but it's not my fault....swear on my life. I really think it sucks that they are shuffling the tribes. It is only for one reason, and for that reason...(Steph) I don't think thats right at all. Myself thinks it would be interesting to see A "Tribe of One" again. But I am betting the producers are horrified that this is happening AGAIN. I am not at all feeling the love you guys..the more I try The worse I really don't want Steph to win. Or make it too far for that matter. But honestly does anyone think if Steph's tribe was kicking ass, we would see a shuffle? I doubt it.
