Well, this has nothing to do with Season 19, but CBS has picked up TAR for a 20th season.

And, we have our first identified team for TAR 19. Hint: Former contestants on Survivor.

I don't know much about either of these two. I didn't watch early seasons of Survivor

.

Ethan was a good guy...Jenna was a self-obsessed bimbo who literally went naked for some peanut butter during her season, and later posed for Playboy.

Returns Sept. 25. From the CBS news release, including info on a new twist:

Teams will be tested early and often and met with a new penalty called the "Hazard," which will impact one Team's future on the Race right from the starting line. The global journey sets off from the foothills of Southern California where the Teams' problem solving abilities will be put to the test as they search for clues to their first destination, Taipei, Taiwan. Teams fortunate enough to survive the first leg will find themselves amidst an 8th Century Buddhist temple in Indonesia, riding elephants through the rain forests of Thailand, and racing for their lives when they discover they're facing the series first ever Double Elimination.

This season's cast includes a pair of Olympic snowboarders, twin sisters, an ex-NFL tight end, flight attendants, the youngest person to ever sail around the world alone, two winners of SURVIVOR, Ethan Zohn and Jenna Morasca, and many more.

This fall marks the 10 year anniversary of THE AMAZING RACE, which originally premiered on Sept 5, 2001.

I want! I'm jealous.

The CBS press release confirmed six countries, four of them new:

Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia (new), Malawi (new), Belgium (new) and Denmark (new).

There should be at least one more country (possibly two) and the finish is in a U.S. city not previously visited by TAR.

IT is sad that Grandparents, that were educators for years are losing this comp, and the all girls teams did not do much better.

I always heard it was Men that never listened! Great comp, wonder if the grandmother got it the first time after being so far behind on finding the clue.

I don't know if listening well is a gender-related trait. I think the problems were more related to some of the Racers not having a ear to remember what they hear as well as others (the snowboarders had a problem among others,) but on the other hand Zac got it down fairly quickly from what I can tell.

The teams did have problems with the sign task, though -- even though they were told about the red and yellow in the sign. This type of task gives a lot of teams fits every time they've used it, and that was the case this time. I'm surprised the grandparents finally realized they had overthought the clue (since when they headed back to where they originally were, they saw the correct sign fairly quickly. Loved the tasks (dragon boats make a comeback) and that mall in Taipei where the Hazard was performed-- very cool architecture.

Great job FF174 with the recap, I am glad the blondes had on their clothes though!

It was really fun reading Phil's tweets during the show. I am so shocked the grandparents could not find the sign but could get the telephone on one try. Next week looks like everybody screws up.

Oh angel, thank you. My dish spazzed out on me last night and started looping right as they were getting to the "Next week on the Amazing Race" part so I missed it. Thanks for mentioning that.
