Survivor 22 - Redemption Island

I don't understand why, after the booted members automatically got to be part of the jury, did nobody on RI get to go to Tribal Council? For many of them, the first tribal council they were at as jury members was during the final vote. Matt only went twice, and got booted both times. Didn't they miss a lot of discussion?

Not sure what you mean...after the last RI challenge, Andrea rejoined the game and the other 3 joined the jury. They were all there for the 5-person TC when Andrea was voted out, and the 4 person one when Ashley was booted. The only one whose first TC was the jury vote was Ashley, which is always the case for the last person voted out.

Matt, Grant, & Mike were not at tribal council when Andrea got voted out, yet all 3 were going to be jury members if they did not make it back into the game. RI players did not go to any tribal councils until the end. Would they all have voted the same if they had gone to council & heard Probst asking questions & hearing the responses? Maybe, but we'll never know. Once they got to the point in the game where once you lose at RI you were automatically on the jury then all RI players should have gone to the tribal councils.

Well thank god that's over. I have to admit I fast forwarded the entire show after it was clear Andrea was getting voted out a second time, and didn't stick around for the after-show. What a complete bunch of duds.

I'm gonna have to check my DVR tonight but I'm almost positive you're wrong about that; that all 3 guys were there for all the tribals after they lost the challenge.

I think Rob played and won perfectly. He did not tie, beat or chain anyone to follow every command. They followed like sheep to the slaughter. Incredible and most boring Survivor ever.

Perhaps over 21 years old should be the manditory age to play Survivor.

Previously I was never a Rob fan. The game is Outwit, Outlast and Outplay and Rob did all 3.

I wonder what would have happened if he had started on the other team and Russell with baby Natalie.

I also missed the argument Phil was supposed to have at the final tribal council to plead his case.

Don't like Redemption Island or the idea of 2 other losers coming back to play the game. I guess I am not

the boss.

I just checked at CBS.con and they are definitely all there...click on the link below and go to about the 40 minure mark (you can drag the time line; you don't have to sit through all 40 minutes):

Well, if next season they're going to continue to go for the whole 'fourth time's a charm' route I'm willing to bet we're going to be seeing Rupert again. I wonder who else they grabbed because I'll be honest most of these people I end up forgetting about the moment the season ends.

Coach and Phillip...who is the most dillusional. Kinda like they tried this year with Rob and Russell's who is the best player of all time.

Loved it when Jeff pushed Russell into making a decision and Russell said, "Keep my number." I knew he was bluffing about not playing again. What a bafoon!

Why didn't Jeff point out that if Phillip being an asshole was part of his "game" why didn't he switch that off at the final tribal council? A Federal Agent who can read people should have known that being an ass during the final tribal was a sure-fire way not to get the money.

Poor Natalie was just waaaayyyy out of her league.

Hated the proposal. Who wants to see that?

Yeah, I don't think whatever her name was happy about the on air proposal. It looks like she wanted to say "hell no!"

Also, I read on other sites that she muttered a couple of bleep-worthy words. I might have to go back and listen again.

While I was watching Jeff's recap of the season at the beginning of the show, I thought that they sure spent a lot of time detailing the demise of Russell. So, for the hell of it, I timed the Russell story to discover that they spent a full 1 minute and 15 seconds detailing his shitty play and eventual ouster.

Then, I timed the demise of the rest of Omelet ... all seven (?) of them. Combined, they got about the same amount of time.

I suspect that we have not seen the last of that little troll.

Wasn't Russell outed as the one leaking spoilers? I can't believe CBS would even let him be involved again.

I knew Natalie and Philip were stupid, but holy shit, they brought stupidity to a new level during the final TC. They all but said "hey, I'm an idiot who did nothing, just go ahead and give the money to Rob!" Every time either one of them spoke it was to lavish more kudos on to Rob.

Who are these people telling Philip they love him? Imaginary friends? Dead relatives? I can't imagine anyone is telling him he's awesome.

Did Grant become Amish? That's the only explanation I can come up with for his new look. Matt too. I would like to see Matt return on the next season and hopefully not spend all his time on RI. I want to see what kind of player he could be.

Maybe they should have teams next time instead of tribes and Matt and Fabio can be on one, Phillip & Russell can kill each other on another...or Coach & Phillip. Ralph & Rupert

That's what has bugged me the whole time, Rob didn't play any kind of game, perfectly or strategically, he never had to play at all the tribe bent over and said please Rob, take the money. It was pathetic.

Thanks Phil, I didn't see the part where they showed the voting, I was downstairs getting my share of a pork chop dinner.

Go back to episode 13. The jury is Dave, Steve, Julie, & Ralph. No Mike, Matt, or Andrea. This was the episode Grant was voted out.

I'm sorry; I realy don't follow what you're getting at, but I'm gonna try this one last time: In the episode where Grant was voted off, Matt/Mike/Andrea were not on the jury yet they were still on Redemption Island.

In last night's final episode, at the beginning there were 4 members left in the game (Rob/Phillip/Natalie/Ashley), 4 on the Jury (David/Ralph/Steve/Julie) and 4 on RI (Matt/Andrea/Mike/Grant). First thing that happened was the final RI challenge--Andrea won so she re-entered the game, and Matt/Mike/Grant all joined the jury.

Next thing that happened was the immunity challenge (numbers 1 to 100): Ashley won...the TC that immediately followed that was attended by 7 jurors--the 4 who were already there, and the three that had just lost the final RI challenge. Andrea was voted out and joined the jury.

Next challenge Rob won (word puzzle)...There were 8 jurors--th porevious 7 plus Angela.

I don't know where you saw an episode where people were eliminated, burned their buffs, and weren't on the jury for the TC in that same episode.

I think what michal is saying is there were a lot of tribal councils that weren't attended by all the members of the jury. Matt was a member of the jury, but he only attended the 2 tribals he was ousted at and the very last one. During all the rest he was sitting on RI. Even though it was a given he was going to be on the jury or a final 3 player, just based on the numbers alone, he still didn't get to sit in on those tribals while still on RI. There were plenty of tribals where half the members of the jury sat on RI because they hadn't yet lost at RI. There were a bunch of tribals where 4 members of the jury were on RI. The whole point of the jury sitting in is to gain information for the final vote, but while half the jury was still in RI, they weren't getting that info since there was a chance they might make it back into the game. Once it was obvious that the players on RI were either going to be on the jury or rejoin the game they should have been able to attend tribal. Once the tribes merged they started letting all the players go watch the RI comp and see who got kicked off and who got to stay, why weren't the RI people given the same opportunity? If you think about it, it's kinda crazy. Matt sat on RI for most of the game, didn't get to see pretty much anything the first member of the jury saw, but he still had to make a vote.
