  1. Thanks, I figured that was the case.
  2. Where can I watch the next season when it starts?
  3. Her quickness to anger was interesting. Someone meditates a lot for a reason, and I'm betting that crazy in her eyes is her version of sane. I say take away the yoga mat and ban chanting, TPTB. I wanna see what happens.
  4. He's going to be made as cop by the end of the night if he doesn't relax and stop watching everyone so intently.
  5. Thanks, Shannon. I wasn't sure with it being the first episode. I was just commenting on how he ended up pissing off both Angela and "lil' sis" because he couldn't decide. Smart. First, don't promise safety before you know what you're dealing with. I'm guessing he's not a superfan. Second, "lil' sis"? Really? You've known her 2 seconds. Careful there, Swag. That one bites. Definitely agree on the need for a nap. Bet he has a blanky with Swaggy crocheted into it.
  6. I hope someone bitch slaps the third person narrative out of his mouth.
  7. I chose Steve because I'm a glutton for punishment.
  8. The series definitely goes deeper, and darker, as it progresses. I, personally, don't mind it. Mostly because the author has the ability to write both despair and hope into a single paragraph, rather than taking pages and pages to get her point across. I agree very much about her characters. They are extremely well written, 3 dimensional, and some very quirky. In an honest and fun way. Not quirky just for the sake of being quirky. Even the most minor characters are well crafted. Her ability to draw you into the village as a whole is top notch. I abhor cold weather, but she's managed to make me wish I could live there even during the winter season. Told my hubby I wouldn't mind visiting Canada later this year and he looked at me like I had lost my mind. Then his expression changed and he made a smart ass comment about asking the author to please change her locale to somewhere tropical.
  9. Has anyone read the Inspector Armond Gamache series by Louise Penny? I'm currently on hold for the latest book at the library and I'm already going through withdrawals from Three Pines. I just.hate that restless feeling I get just knowing the next book I finally decide to read won't measure up. Excellent writing. Highly recommend.
  10. False, but I was once part of a large group kicked out of a restaurant for getting into a food fight. I was a waitress for a while after that and have felt guilty ever sense. The next poster has already added all of their recapping necessities (food, drink, drugs) to their shopping list.
  11. I'm a little less worried now about him being booted early due to his age. From the comments about him there it sounds like he engages well with the younger crowd and the word "funny" is repeated often. So that bodes well for his personality. Maybe. I wasn't hopeful, but...
  12. Judas Dan seems like he will be serious fun to recap. I hope that's the case and he doesn't get booted quickly. He totally had me at three Color Me Bad CDs.
  13. I felt bad for Chef Joe. He did get screwed and probably because the other girl is only there for the possible drama. She's a train wreck waiting to happen and they know it. She curses worse than me and that's saying a lot. I don't know what to make of Nigella. It seems like she is more controlling of how and what her team does in comparison to the other judges and doesn't want them to be creative with their dishes which would allow them to add their own twist/flavor. I've only seen the two episodes so maybe I'm reading her wrong, but I'm really not surprised to hear that she's in the habit of losing her team quickly. Also, I don't like the catty personal attacks between the women on her team when they are called upon to comment on each other. I'm guessing this is pushed on them by production, but I would much rather they just stick to insulting each others abilities in the kitchen. So far this show doesn't seem to be very character driven since they focus so much on the judges, so they should leave that crap to Master Chef and Hell's Kitchen.
